Okay ... I talked to Jari today to clear up this issue. I hate hearsay, because what my buddy told me was nothing like what Jari said!! Chin tucked in really good is best for head position he said! If you really want to max out, your chin really tucked in takes out a LOT of drag. These WERE from Jari, I talked to him personally today when I went in to finish my payment on my GTi (which will be here soon, yay!). I'm going back to really digging my chin into my chest for those solos I try and max ... Trailer 11/12 was the best. Thanks for the memories ... you guys rocked!

I'm sorry, but not every Palestinian out there is going to be a suicide bomber. Who's to judge which ones are? Can't you say that every Israeli mother is raising a killer because every single person HAS to join the Army (which potentially kills)? Same difference, just different means of killing. I am NOT saying they are right about the suicide bombings, but I am saying that not everyone in their country are suicide boming, yet their homes still get demolished. Some perks about having Deland as my home DZ is there are a lot of people around that I learn and ask questions from. I've learned half the stuff I know today just from hanging in the bar every night!! Everyone there is really cool and awesome, I never understood some of the bad things I've heard about the DZ!! It's no problem for me at all to try and answer questions others may have if I am in direct control over getting the info they need ... I'm happy to pass on info because I get SOOO much from everyone, I feel like I should do what I can as well! Trailer 11/12 was the best. Thanks for the memories ... you guys rocked!

Wow, I don't see how so many can dismiss the fact that houses on Gaza Strip being demolished is not a big thing. Think of this ... you live in the city of, say, Philidelphia. Now, imagine New York coming in with a bunch of bulldozers plowing down neighborhood after neighborhood. One house at a time. How would you feel if it was your neighborhood? How would you feel about all your friends and families who's houses you know are next? What if this went on for years, one city at a time in Pennsylvania? Think of their point of view ... they've taken out A LOT (millions) of houses over the last half century, and their group was trying to make a difference to save FAMILIES. May she rest in peace ... He won't be using a GTi or ClassicII ... I don't know if he'll use the S3 or not, however. You gotta understand, with the radical trim settings on the canopy. and wingloading, they don't have to worry about the decent rate. I think they'll have a real good show put on this time around. I think sprials would be a lot more difficult to dock on, especially spiraling a velocity of that size and wingloading ... probably even faster decent rate than 65 once you really start sprialing, you dive hard! Vladi and Jari MAY try it again this weekend with a smaller canopy this time, but at the same wing loading. According to Vladi, last time they tried it, the wingloading was perfect (good decent rate) but the forward drive was stronger than desirable. So instead of using the 84 Velocity with weights, they're going to go with a 79 without weights (and equal the same wingloading). With the smaller surface area, and same wing loading, hopefully the decent rate should still be the same, but not as much forward drive! There'll still be some funky line trimming going on too, but I don't have those details. They'll try and get better video of this than last time as well. Like I said before, they MAY try it out this weekend, but I don't know for sure yet, we'll see! If I hear any more details, I'll keep ya'll posted. Trailer 11/12 was the best. Okay ... talked to him today ... He did it in Perris, and yes, he has video on VHS. He's leaving tomorrow for a week, but when he gets back, I'm going to remind him to bring the VHS, and I'll record it on my camera and firewire it to digital and upload it to the ftp site. He said the video's not that great, though ... it's a front view (he's starts the swoop facing the camera and passes it and the camera shows him from behind for the rest. Can't really see the distance he went. A better shot would've been from above or a long distance side shot, but oh well. I'm sure it'll still be entertaining! Trailer 11/12 was the best. What do you guys think about keeping your head up instead of your chin tucked for flight?!?? You keep your whole body still dearched with shoulders rolled and everything else the same, legs arms, etc ... but instead, you look up instead of tucking. It's weird at first because you have the tendancey of wanting to change the rest of your body, but it's easy to get used to after only 1 jump. Reason I tried this was because here in Deland, a fellow birdman jumper was talking to Jari and the technique of putting your head up actually came from his mouth. Personally, I've done about 4 jumps like this and they were consistantly better for me, my last one I tried the normal way, and it didn't come anywhere near the same results. Although, the only theory I have with that is that I was really focusing on having an awesome body position because it was different and when I went back to the normal method, I wasn't paying as much attention to the rest of my body and was just normal flying. Maybe, maybe not ... I usually try and max flights when I go solo, but it's one way to discredit. I dunno, I'd like to hear other experiences!! (The reasoning I was told why it was better was because the airflows under, creating more lift, but I'm visualizing the shape of the airfoil being distorted with the head up ... I don't know!) As far as gun laws go, you can't have a weapon on your body without the carry and conceal permit (and if you have it, the weapon needs to be concealed, not visable). You can transport your firearm in the car with you, that's no problem. Most of the ranges I know of do not allow fully auto ... if you have a firearm that you can switch to semi, they'll let you do that. Some don't even let you bring rifles at all, but that's all very dependant on the place you go. I don't know of any places in Sebastian, I live too far to know. Trailer 11/12 was the best. I don't run the screen saver at all ... I just have it minimized in my taskbar at all times and it runs just fine! I don't even need to open it to look at the stats, I just put my cursor over the icon and the pop up tells me stats. It's fine when it's open as well, but not that good at all in full screen. Haven't had any problems at all so far running on XP. These are JMHOs ... Trailer 11/12 was the best. Thanks for the memories ... you guys rocked!
