Excellent point!! Those soldiers that are fighting us are doing it for the same reasons our soldiers are fighting them. Point well made and taken. Trailer 11/12 was the best. Thanks for the memories ... you guys rocked!

I do want to add that of course we support our fighting women!! As you can see by the title of the post, however, it was meant to be for the average military person (which is a man). Trailer 11/12 was the best. Thanks for the memories ... you guys rocked!

LOL ... hope you have enough countries backing you so you don't destroy the credibility of the DZ.com UN. Enough of this tho, don't want to "hijack" this thread, I'd rather keep the topic on the original post (like that's ever happened). Trailer 11/12 was the best. Thanks for the memories ... you guys rocked!

The Average Military Man The average age of the military man is 19 years. He is a short haired, tight-muscled kid who, under normal circumstances is considered by society as half man, half boy. Not yet dry behind the ears, not old enough to buy a beer, but old enough to die for his country. He never really cared much for work and he would rather wax his own car than wash his father's; but he has never collected unemployment either. He's a recent High School graduate; he was probably an average student, pursued some form of sport activities, drives a ten year old jalopy, and has a steady girlfriend that either broke up with him when he left, or swears to be waiting when he returns from half a world away. He listens to rock and roll or hip-hop or rap or jazz or swing and 155 mm Howitzers. He is 10 or 15 pounds lighter now than when he was at home because he is working or fighting from before dawn to well after dusk. He has trouble spelling, thus letter writing is a pain for him, but he can field strip a rifle in 30 seconds and reassemble it in less time in the dark. He can recite to you the nomenclature of a machine gun or grenade launcher and use either one effectively if he must. He digs foxholes and latrines and can apply first aid like a professional. He can march until he is told to stop or stop until he is told to march. He obeys orders instantly and without hesitation, but he is not without spirit or individual dignity. He is self-sufficient. He has two sets of fatigues: he washes one and wears the other. He keeps his canteens full and his feet dry. He sometimes forgets to brush his teeth, but never to clean his rifle. He can cook his own meals, mend his own clothes, and fix his own hurts. If you're thirsty, he'll share his water with you; if you are hungry, his food. He'll even split his ammunition with you in the midst of battle when you run low. He has learned to use his hands like weapons and weapons like they were his hands. He can save your life - or take it, because that is his job. He will often do twice the work of a civilian, draw half the pay and still find ironic humor in it all. He has seen more suffering and death then he should have in his short lifetime. He has stood atop mountains of dead bodies, and helped to create them. He has wept in public and in private, for friends who have fallen in combat and is unashamed. He feels every note of the National Anthem vibrate through his body while at rigid attention, while tempering the burning desire to 'square-away' those around him who haven't bothered to stand, remove their hat, or even stop talking. In an odd twist, day in and day out, far from home, he defends their right to be disrespectful. Just as did his Father, Grandfather, and Great-grandfather, he is paying the price for our freedom. Beardless or not, he is not a boy. He is the American Fighting Man that has kept this country free for over 200 years. He has asked nothing in return, except our friendship and understanding. Remember him, always, for he has earned our respect and admiration with his blood. For our Military Please, whatever your views are about this war, please do not forget who is out there or disrespect them for being there. It is not their choice to declare war, they are doing their duties. Trailer 11/12 was the best. Thanks for the memories ... you guys rocked!

I've donated over 2 gallons of plasma so far ... used to pay for jump tickets, like you said I never had a problem jumping the same day, as long as your arm isn't sore (which rarely was for me). I donated twice a week (never 2 days in a row) and got paid $120/week. Reason I got paid so much was I was born with the anti-bodies to Hep-B in my system, and they were using my plasma to make vaccines (I helped people, it felt really cool ... especially with the money I was making, lol). My only problem that ended up arising is that because I only really have one really nice fat vein to take from, they had to use the same one twice a week. After a couple of months, the scar tissue really couldn't take any more so I stopped. I haven't really gone back since. So, if you're feeling okay after donation, don't hesitate to jump later that day! Disclaimer: This is just in my humble opinion and experiences ... I am not responsible for any death or injuries that may happen because of listening to me! Trailer 11/12 was the best. Thanks for the memories ... you guys rocked!

LOL ... yea, I'll find someone! It's a crappy $20 cam, so it was the best I could do! Trailer 11/12 was the best. Thanks for the memories ... you guys rocked!

Well ... if that's all, my webcam can do that! Which looks better? There are slight differences only, but the lighting is different ... lemme know! (oh, and the size is different, which doesn't matter since it'll be an avatar) You can clearly see I'm not black by this avatar Edited to take out bad pics ... Trailer 11/12 was the best. Thanks for the memories ... you guys rocked!

You?? I'm the one that sounds fat, lol ... I guess muscle weighs more than fat tho, because my 140 pounds at 5'5" isn't fat Trailer 11/12 was the best. Thanks for the memories ... you guys rocked!
-
Wow ... you got me beat! 5'5" 140 (160 w/ rig). I don't know how long I'm flying for exactly ... my ProTrack stops counting at 119 seconds. I'm consistant at going over 2 minutes without really pushing it that hard! Fun jumps, surfing clouds, flying with the pilot of the aircraft I just exited, all the fun I want, and still over 2 minutes with avg fall rate in the high 40s-low 50s. Once I get a Neptune, I'll try and max out the suit. I haven't been able to take the suit past 2 miles yet either, takes too long for the pilot to do that for me. I can cover the 2 miles and still do circles around canopies at this point. Gotta wait and jump on a slow day, when the pilot doesn't need to get back so quickly. You'll be a good birdman flyer if you fly your body well. You've got the build for it. The only problem that us light people have is sometimes, if you're flying the absolute most perfect way to fly (which is impossible, no one's perfect!), the slightly heavier guys will still be able to out-drive you because of their momentum. Correct me if I'm wrong, Chuck, but Kim has even experienced this! Trailer 11/12 was the best. Thanks for the memories ... you guys rocked!

Yea, I'm goin to find someone with a digital camera to take pictures of me in my GTi ... you won't be able to see much detail tho in avatar size! I'll figure something out Trailer 11/12 was the best. Thanks for the memories ... you guys rocked!
