Hey bigG, there are a few of us in Deland that are BMIs ... I don't know if any are in Sebastian, but I could try and make a trip down there one day ... PM me and we'll see if we can set something up Trailer 11/12 was the best. Thanks for the memories ... you guys rocked!
  2. Yes Trailer 11/12 was the best. Thanks for the memories ... you guys rocked!
  3. From the ProTrack Manual: Edited to add: 13 meter/second = 29.0801718 mile/hour (mph) 29 meter/second = 64.8711525 mile/hour (mph) Trailer 11/12 was the best. Thanks for the memories ... you guys rocked!
  4. Welcome to the flock, brother! It's very addicting and you'll find yourself completely quitting freeflying or RWing!! Trailer 11/12 was the best. Thanks for the memories ... you guys rocked!
  5. I've been talking to people down the street at Alti II and they have no idea what I'm talking about when I ask about the "birdman specific" neptune! Maybe I'm talking to the wrong people there? It's not a big place, lol. Can you please confirm your sources and what exactly this specific neptune will entail?? The regular neptune already records unlimited freefall time and is perfect for wingsuit flying. Please confirm this stuff, I'm really curious to know and would like to ask about it again at Alti II if I get a good reply here:) PS, Manbird - I have no problems maxing my suit as well ... I don't know why it's taking so much "strength" to get your suit maxed, but I'm reaching in the 30s according to the protrack, and usually, it shows deployment at 5-6000ft (which means that's the altitude I was at when it stopped recording at the 2minute mark). From there I average how long my freefall time is by "guesstimating" about 10 secods for every 1000ft. I usually open at 3, so I get 2min20-30sec flights. You really shouldn't be using all that MUSCLE, maybe you're too tense, relax and let the muscle memory do the work! Trailer 11/12 was the best. Thanks for the memories ... you guys rocked!
  6. Uh ... ever been hit by a paint ball? You know how much they hurt and how fast they go ... now get hit with one while going 50mph at it (or however fast you're going under your canopy). I think it'll really kick your ass if it hit you and put some holes thru your canopy easily ... I wouldn't ever try it. Trailer 11/12 was the best. Thanks for the memories ... you guys rocked!

  9. I thought the Skyray had about the same amount of freefall time, but just had a much greater horizontal speed and distance than the wingsuits?? I may be wrong, that's just the impression I was under ... can anyone confirm or deny this? Trailer 11/12 was the best. Thanks for the memories ... you guys rocked!
  10. Picture speaks for itself Trailer 11/12 was the best. Thanks for the memories ... you guys rocked!
  11. Hehe, I'm talking about straight ins for my entire post ... everything changes once you start using risers and have more surf and have to set up different approaches! Trailer 11/12 was the best. Thanks for the memories ... you guys rocked!
  12. That show made me sick Trailer 11/12 was the best. Thanks for the memories ... you guys rocked!

  17. A good tip I learned a while back ago that allowed me to land on the peas almost anytime I wanted (especially on straight ins) is this ... While you're flying straight, take a look at the target you're shooting for (IE an X or peas or a frisbee on the ground, a hat, whatever) ... If you see the target moving down (meaning it's coming closer to you) it means you're overshooting it. It's going to roll right under your feet. If you see the target moving higher on the horizon, that means you are undershooting it and will land before you reach it. If you look at the target, and it's not moving anywhere, you're going to land right on it. Basically, if you're looking at the target and it's moving towards you, you will find a spot past the target that isn't moving at all (neither up or under you). A small adjustment here and there will allow you to try and make that target not move at all anymore and you'll be able to nail your accuracy! Hope this wasn't confusing, it's a lot easier to see when you're actually trying it out! You can even see it from a higher altitude. From 3k (about when you're open), find a building and look if it's moving towards you or higher on the horizon or not moving at all, you can tell where you'd land if you didn't do anything at all until you reached the ground. Of course, I always used the exact pattern Quade posted on his other post!! I still use that pattern today (slightly different with riser turns, but basics never change). Good luck and I hope you can visualize this! Trailer 11/12 was the best. Thanks for the memories ... you guys rocked!
  18. The amount of money spent on those computers could've gotten him a private pilot's license!! Think about the thousands of dollars on the floor there? You can get a PPC (Private Pilot's Certificate) nowadays for roughly $3k. Nothing beats the real thing. Trailer 11/12 was the best. Thanks for the memories ... you guys rocked!
  19. I was just about to type something along the lines of what Lou said when I read his post! He said it before me, but here's my words ... I don't think it'll be any floatier, I think it'll be worse both vertical and horizontal. You will create more drag with more air flowing thru it. More drag = less forward speed and we all know that it is the forward speed that makes our vertical decent slower. The way to get air to flow into the wing "faster" is not by making a bigger hole, but by flying forward faster. Just my 2 cents, and I know Lou just said something like that too, but he woke up earlier than I did I'm pretty much done with this conversation ... curious to hear what Robert says. Trailer 11/12 was the best. Thanks for the memories ... you guys rocked!
  20. Those things on your sleeves are deflectors, not inlets ... they make the airflow over your wing smoother instead of a twirly tornado. Smoother slipstream; they don't do anything for "pressurization." I think it would be a bad idea to do what you are suggesting. Trailer 11/12 was the best. Thanks for the memories ... you guys rocked!
  21. I did a wingsuit hop n pop from 3k once ... we circled for a while at altitude and the pilot finally said we're takin it back down ... and since I didn't want to land, a bunch of us asked the pilot to let us out from the cloudbase, 3k. I only flew to 2k and deployed from under the wingsuit. After that I did a few 5k wingsuit jumps just for shits and giggles. Normally, I prefer the 5k hop, it gives me more time to have fun with my canopy! That's really the reason why I do those low jumps! Trailer 11/12 was the best.
