The only time I ever have line twists is from my own fault from body position during and thru the pull. I have my bag so it has the line stows all on top and I put my bag in the container straight down instead of turning it. I do not have any other mods (such as cut corners or 9' bridal or anything else). Dunno what to say! Trailer 11/12 was the best. Thanks for the memories ... you guys rocked!

On my GTi, I average in the high 40s every single time. Because I don't have the JumpTrack software, I don't know how low I've been able to go. My best overall average was 46, but I usually get 47-48 every time. A good foward drive is what I use for my slow decent rate. The faster I'm going forward ,the more lift I get, which gives me more freefall time and a slower decent rate. I get in the 40s for an overall average for every jump, and I'm also covering a lot of ground. I'm going to try some friend's Skyflyers a few jumps and see what my averages are. After I get used to the Skyflyer, I'll try the S3 and see what averages I get. I'll post results, but it may be a while ... Trailer 11/12 was the best. Thanks for the memories ... you guys rocked!

LOL, thanks ... I keep forgetting to put the tape in my gear bag so every time I go to the DZ, I kick myself ... I'm putting the tape in my gear bag now, so when I go jumping next, I'll get some work done with it!! Trailer 11/12 was the best. Thanks for the memories ... you guys rocked! -
This could be due to a couple of things ... One would be you're too stiff ... loosen up and relax ... yes, still point your toes, but breath. That leads me to the other factor ... yes, point your toes, but don't spread your legs and stretch out the wing so taught. Your leg wing needs to have a nice curve, not a flat cardboard surface. This doesn't mean to bring your legs in, just don't STRETCH so hard when you widen them. Take the legs out to where they stop, don't exert any more force. I guess that kind've keeps on repeating, but you get the idea ... sometimes you forget when you're trying to point your toes, but eventually, muscle memory will do it without thought. Those two things are usually what I find to be the biggest factor in "potato chipping." One other thing to consider is your arms ... the only part that does work on your arm is from your shoulder to your elbow. The elbow to hands should be really loose and relaxed. Let the wing take shape, look at your hands and wings when you're flying and see if they are nicely inflated with a curve. There is obviously a lot more to say about body flight, do a search in this forum, I've posted tips before. Blue skies and welcome to the flock! Trailer 11/12 was the best. Haha ... mine worked, but didn't ... Yes, it found my phone number, but the name and address was WAY off. The name Clarence comes up (maybe this explains the 6' tall black man identity i had) and the address is across town. That also explains the huge amounts of wrong number phone calls I got when I first moved in asking for Clarence (NO JOKE! Seriously talking here!). Ah well, guess my identity is safe Trailer 11/12 was the best. Thanks for the memories ... you guys rocked!

I would definately offer, but I live 20 minutes away (in Daytona) and my house is small and I don't think my roommate would be happy if I brought someone in Luckily, she's moving out in either April or May and I'll have a guest bedroom from here on out to house anyone willing to drive 20 mintues to the DZ, but this will not be in time for you! Sorry I can't help you in that sense, but maybe we can do some flocking when you get here! It's a pretty hectic couple of weeks for me right now, and I'm not jumping much (which is a real surprise), but I'll definately look for a new birdie at the DZ Trailer 11/12 was the best. Also, you can generate more speed by carve turning rather than hook turning ... more speed = longer swoop. I'm not that advanced under canopy at all, but I've been able to "dig" out of situations rather easily with a carve turn because it's so smooth and you have total control ... IMO (only IMO here) carves are safer and faster for me. (I wasn't talking about carving on the ground either, that's different). Trailer 11/12 was the best. Stupid people should have to wear signs that just say, "I'm Stupid." That way you wouldn't rely on them, would you? You wouldn't ask them anything. It would be like, "Excuse me...oops...never mind, didn't see your sign." It's like before my wife and I moved. Our house was full of boxes and there was a U-Haul truck in our driveway. My neighbor comes over and says, "Hey, you moving?" "Nope. We just pack our stuff up once or twice a week to see how many boxes it takes. Here's your sign." A couple of months ago I went fishing with a buddy of mine, we pulled his boat into the dock, I lifted up this big ol' stringer of bass and this idiot on the dock goes, "Hey, y'all catch all them fish?" "Nope. Talked 'em into giving up. Here's your sign." I was watching one of those animal shows on the Discovery Channel. There was a guy inventing a shark bite suit. And there's only one way to test it. "Alright, Jimmy, you got that shark suit on, it looks good... They want you to jump into this pool of sharks, and you tell us if it hurts when they bite you." "Well, all right, but hold my sign. I don't wanna lose it." Last time I had a flat tire, I pulled my truck into one of those side-of-the-road gas stations. The attendant walks out, looks at my truck, looks at me, and I SWEAR he said, "Tire go flat?" I couldn't resist. I said, "Nope. I was driving around and those other three just swelled right up on me. Here's your sign." We were trying to sell our car about a year ago. A guy came over to the house and drove the car around for about 45 minutes. We get back to the house, he gets out of the car, reaches down and grabs the exhaust pipe, then says, "Darn that's hot!" See, if he'd been wearing his sign, I could have stopped him. I learned to drive an 18-wheeler in my days of adventure. Wouldn't you know, I misjudged the height of a bridge. The truck got stuck and I couldn't get it out, no matter how I tried. I radioed in for help and eventually a local cop shows up to take the report. He went through his basic questioning...okay...no problem. I thought for sure he was clear of needing a sign...until he asked, "So, is your truck stuck?" I couldn't help myself! I looked at him, looked back at the rig and then back to him and said, "No, I'm delivering a bridge... here's your sign." I stayed late at work one night and a co-worker looked at me and said, "Are you still here?" I replied, "No. I left about 10 minutes ago. Here's your sign." Anybody you know need a sign today? The next time someone says something stupid ask them where their sign is. Trailer 11/12 was the best. Thanks for the memories ... you guys rocked!

How much fun can a Sabre 2 190 be loaded at 1:1?
TB99 replied to Viking's topic in Swooping and Canopy Control
I'm only loading my Sabre2 at 1.15:1 and it's AWESOME! You can riser it all day long and get pretty decent swoops ... harness turns at such light loadings do work, but BARELY and you have to keep the input for a while before it initiates. Also, carving doesn't work too well with the light loading. You can learn a whole lot on that canopy tho ... max it out and you'll be surprised as to just how much you can get out of it! I'm no where near maxing mine out yet and am loving it to death! Trailer 11/12 was the best. Thanks for the memories ... you guys rocked! -

Okay, so I've been trying to record it on my camera from the VCR and my old-ass camera bit the big one ... it kept eating my mini-DV tape and I couldn't fix it. Until I can find a camera to borrow, I won't have this up! Trailer 11/12 was the best. Thanks for the memories ... you guys rocked! -
