  1. $6.50 for shipping wtf do i look like? Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Alsaud?? besides you cant get a genuine grand rapids pair of tube socks like you used to!
  2. myfoot size changed and I went to footlocker because even though they are a bit pricey they are usually quick and non-annoying. At least they were still pricey, but for the first time in my experience they were slow and annoying.
  3. i started skydiving so i could post on dropzone.com
  4. yeah, my pedals and cranks are a little wang'd up but, its not that hard, ill never coast again!!! that retro direct looks like it might be a mind fuck, its weird enough being able to ride backwards!
  5. the manager of the local sushi place once told me that sea urchin makes you uh, "last longer" he actually used the words "boom boom long time" i fucking shit you not as far as gross id have to say baby squid, something about eating a whole squid is, well, weird, at least they cover the eyes the best, tropical roll bitches!!! lots of ginger on the side!
  6. well, im a singlespeeder and a fixedgear rider at that so i guess im biased against gears but. that said the one geared bike i have has SRAM components on it and it serves me quite well what little i use it, definetaly not XTR but good enough. id suggest going for the Comp or Comp Disc model. specialized tends to give a much better bang for the buck above the $500 range plus i cant stand those rattle trap shitcage tektro levers. id also suggest looking on mtbr.com classifieds as theyres always good deals to be had as long as you know what your looking at attached is two pics for subliminal singlespeed motivation first is my beater Redline Monocog running 42X17 Fixed gear and second is my new track bike that i just built and wanted to show off fetish position w/ carbon goodies and anti-theft-pink deep-Vs
  7. im so sorry i had you worried PJ, i was so caught up in writing my lexicon on packing "how to bitch and whine like a baby while swindling your customers out of thousands" the chopstick insertion illustrations took fucking days. i swear im going to be fucking cannonized for this bestseller. plus i lost my closing pin necklace and i couldnt even post without it, thank god i found it under my skidiving kicks ass t-shirt I can see why PJ was so upset, i mean it has been almost a month since i jumped so i am required to resume my schedule of 13 posts per hour until i make another skydive. fuck= the new period
  8. my god, what a fucking whine fest, oh no, nobody apreciates me! well maybe if you took a shower and turned down that goddamn trance shit you listen to all the time packing is the realworld equivalent to the guy who mops the spooge off the walls in the peep show rooms in the middle of cracktown. fucking derelicts.
  9. SWEET! now we can have the beer olympics AND a rock paper scissors tournament, your going down! http://www.worldrps.com/index.html
  10. wow, this thread alone has convinced me to abandon my plans to stay in eloy for the winter and come back to xkeys. i mean the place is fun and all but they dont have chuck norris or gary beusey. maybe ill get on a LOVE LOAD too, although ill probably be so excited and amped when im in the door that ill chew my arm off before i get the key to the handcuffs. oh and the first packjob is free for all fun jumpers. all free packjobs will be graciously provided by brian
  11. Mexican werewolves are coming up from Mexico and selling crack. But I sell... oranges,I've sold out, I've sold out of my oranges... I run out and people are like Beep Beep, I go okay, and say you're driving and I just put it in their laps.
  12. you can use ZP but youd be better off with poarcher marine skytex sailcloth, or the like also id use 100# spectra for the bridle lines and HMA for the flying lines heres a plan for the "nasawing" its a traction kite without inflatable cells http://www.xs4all.nl/~pdj/nasaplan.htm pretty much any online traction kite store will have what you need.
  13. sucking it down and losing altitude awareness are two different things. i have one unintentional low pull that thankfully no one saw, because it was lower then ill ever admit to, that was many jumps ago, and i definetaly learned from it. also define what you mean by low, i assume cypress territory? on a side note i think people too lazy to write out take up bowling should follow their own advice
  14. wow, that sucks for him!! ive had tension knots in my pullout bridle twice, the first time it put some serious friction burns on my bridle. im not suprised that the pin went through the bridle, theyres a LOT of force involved. as far as what caused it and how to prevent it, i bet you could go a couple hundred thousand more jumps and never have that problem again, id definetaly be interested in finding out if there is some other preventable factor involved though!
  15. im known as being a freak about earplugs because i tend to wear them pretty much all the time at the DZ, if theres a plane running, especially the skyvan or chopper, ive got them in, it also helps block out the shitty music. i wear the clear attenuating ones on the ground, so i can talk normally, and the yellow corncob-on-a-string ones larksheaded to my goggles when jumping. i also have a bag of the foam ones in my backpack. a skyvan is somewhere in the range of 130Db inside, and not much better outside, most other planes are in the 110-120 range thats INSTANT, PERMANENT, IRREVERSIBLE DAMAGE.
  16. Anything by Tom Brown, Jr. right now im reading his book called The Vision lots of different nature, and field guides, mostly Peterson's
  17. i agree, while i only have a few hundred jumps on a pullout (got my arm wrenched ONCE from holding on too long, but hasnt happened since) i know quite a few people with a few more jumps (6000-9000) who have never had this problem
  18. yup, right now i think he's in school learning to drive helicopters
  19. i just got it a few days ago, but i really like it, ive owned a few different fullsized, and when i got the mini, i thought it was gonna be too small, but its definetaly just enough, where the fullsize is overkill sometimes.
  20. my camera sucks, buy you get the idea first is what i carry everyday Emerson mini commander and a custom Neil Blackwood talonite fiend. second is what i put in my backpack when i think i might need a little extra Matt Lamey custom combat cleaver benchmade 630 kershaw somethin, i think avalance crappy leatherman Jerry Hossom custom dogtag
  21. i got wanged in the temple with my middle 3ring on my last cutaway (brakefire w/lots of linetwists) i was wearing my "gay-biker" bonehead halfshell. i didnt quite realize what that stinging feeling was until after i was under my reserve. it left a nice mark for a few days, but i didnt get any stupider thankfully
  22. been there, tried that, and if they want it bad enough, they never listen. i didnt when i was in a similar (not as drastic, but looking back at it, a little scary) situation. i got lucky and didnt hurt myself. sorry if my post sounded harsh, or everything wrong with the world, but im pretty sure meatbombs who think theyre special little flowers frapping themselves in left and right on canopys that, even though the manufacturers say is way above their experience level, they think theyll be ok. are doing a whole lot worse for our sport then a sarcastic, slightly bitter post on dz.com just also wanted to clarify that i was commenting only on the w/l progression, not on ground launching, i dont like to give out advice on something that ive never done, but reasearched a lot on the internet.
  23. good luck with that, try not to get any blood on it, that reduces the resale value
  24. i think the VSE infinity is around 90% fabric 10% mesh, or about that (pic is in the manual) javelins are 50/50, or really close to it. as well as the reflex and the quasar i personally have my own opinions on what the best design is, but im going to keep them to myself
  25. i figure why the hell should the lazy uncaring, teenager working at applebees, who slams your plates down and dissapears so you dont get any drink refills, get a tip when the waitstaff at the sushi place pretty much stands over you waiting to refill your water. i prefer to take the tip i would give them, and give it to the people who earn it! ill also tip the sushi chef if he goes out of his way to make my meal look more like a work of art then food! as far as take-out, it depends, at the sushi place i usually eat at, yes a few bucks since their lightning fast, and always manage to "accidentally" put an extra roll in there! other places, probably not.
