its going to rain today, its going to rain tommorow, and its going to rain sunday. so i get to sit at the dz in the gear store and find things to do and hope people decide that since they cant spend money on jumps they should come visit me and buy gear ANNND my GF is going to a convention thingy for the weekend so i wont see her until sunday at the earliest ANNNND we went to old country buffet last night and now i STILL feel like im going to puke!

ok, so im very bored cuz today is my day off (i have an non-cool skydiving job) today i had a chance to try the new vanilla pepsi and it tasted like paint thinner and sugar, WTF were those asshats at pepsi thinking i mean pepsi tastes like ass to begin with, but this is insane! OTOH vanilla coke kicks total ass and is one of the only sodas ill drink now, so what do you guys think?

some things i'd add are -once you put the pin in the closing loop your pretty much done, all you have to do is tuck in the bridle. with BOC you still have to fold and stow the PC and bridle -no spandex to wear out (although theyre is a little peice of velcro thatll need replacement every couple hundred jumps.) -everything is much lower profile and less likely to snag. some things i dont like about it - it would scare me to use a packer i dont know to pack it (and even some i do know) -when people who dont know what the fuck their doing try to give me gear checks (which i prefer to do for myself!) and try to tuck the grommet in as far in as they can!!!!!!

but wouldnt then the deployment actually be faster (as far as from initiation to line stretch) since there's no delay on waiting for the PC to inflate and pop the pin?

ive been able to get fast openings out of my spectre by not quartering the slider and making sure the nose isnt tucked in at all, the fact that i have pullout also makes it slightly faster. ive even had a couple instances when ive dumped in max track and the thing has rocked my world
