  1. my name is allen and i am a box molester, uhhhh i mean package handler for ups
  2. we dont need no more damn canadians at xkeys, theyres already one too many on the packing mat!! but seriously, make sure you bring him to xkeys to do his first tandem, and no matter how much the guy who tries to sell you video dissuades you from it (i swear its like he wants the video guys to starve!) make sure he gets video!
  3. i concur s30v is the shiznit, its as tough as A2 but as rust resistant as 440v(now known as s60v) (although you can get some micro chipping in S30v if its not heat treated right)
  4. since were promoting knife stores lemme mention larry, Ida and Vince and www.bladeart.com totally KICK ASS!
  5. well actually just the B's have the wave you still for some reason cant get the A's waved, although the new mini is going to be waved too so im happy, now only if they could put it on the '8 and seperate it from that damn surefire C2 WTF would i want a C2 for!!!?
  6. dude buy a mini commander, the wave is the shit
  7. damn your quick, heh i used to own a crap load of striders ive had 3 MH's 3 MT's 2 AR's 3 GB's msc7.5 4 d-9s slcc MG SA DB i know theyres more i just dont remember, but that was before my skydiving days
  8. uhhh, theyres a shitload strider Busse (not custom) jerry hossom rob simonich those are the big 4 makers, although rob uses midtech manufaturing now, cause he couldnt keep up with demands.
  9. loudiamond Blade forums sucks! Usual suspect network RULES!!!! bwahahaha, sorry, i couldnt resist!
  10. dude nobody buys knives at real stores its about the internet!! you can get most benchmades (not that im advocating that kinda thing) for around $100 at www.newgraham.com theyre also available NIB on ebay very regularly. amatuer! now this http://www.tadgear.com/edged%20tools/msc-7_5b.htm is an expensive knife! (it was a moment of temporary insanity i swear, and i dont own it anymore so its ok)
  11. dude that taylor cutlery s&w stuff is CRAP! dont waste your money. like aggie dave said, the spydie enura is great for a cheaper (under $50) folder and i again have to agree that Emersons production stuff is top end production stuff (exludinge sebbies cause theyre waaay overpriced), well worth the money (i have a commander myself) if your looking for a folding prybar try the Buck/ strider collaboration knife with My buddies Mick strider and Duane dwyer, its MASSIVE! edited to add( this is coming from a guy who used to own around $6000 in custom cutlery so take it for what you will)
  12. ive been a total lazy ass myself lately, well not totally, i do get the 4hour box destroying workout at ups every morning(night?) but after that i sit on my ass and eat and sleep alot, not that theyres anything wrong with that, i used to run like 5 miles a day at one point, fuck that i know im lazy i dont need to pretend im fit besides instead of downsizing ill just increase my wingloading that way
  13. or you could just switch to bass, ive had the same set on my fretless since i got it a few years ago
  14. BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!! dont even waste your time with one of those peices of shit, we have 2 electric tractors sitting in the garage that dont work for crapola go for john deere and not that cheap shit they sell at home depot, the real deal. theyre expensive but SOOO worth it in the long run
  15. but it already has unfortunately, just look at the popularity of the mini 3-ring!
  16. ive jumped both canopies at a slightly higher wingloading and 190s at an identical wingloading. theyre both awesome canopies, with awesome openings flying charicteristics and landings. one thing that i hear all the time is that people always tell me spectres are impossible to land, i find that very hard to belive since its the most forgiving canopy out of all the ones ive tried. i personally went for the spectre for these reasons -forgiving landings/very powerful flare -ability to sink it in -long recovery arc and tight turning radius(might not be a plus for some) -easy packing and soft openings (sabre2 being almost the same with the nose stuffed and tail rolled) even though i went with the spectre im having a fun time demoing the crap out of a sabre2 till my rig is ready (since i snapped a suspention line on the demo spectre i was jumping)
  17. your right i shouldnt have been so general in my statement. obviously a meticulously maintained rig with velcro is going to be safer then one with tuck tabs that gets beat to hell and neglected frequently. which is exactly why i got pullout!
  18. i say it based on the fact that velcro degrades gradually over time (you infact said so yourself in the "to velcro or not to velcro?" thread) so every time it gets peeled it is less and less effective. not to mention that shifting can cause velcro to unseat itself while not being easily detectable. whereas a tucktab either works or it doesn't
  19. not checking after you wipe is like not doing a gear check after getting it packed by a packer, itll probably be ok, but something could also go horribly wrong!
  20. dont worry, if you dont get your rig ill be sure to slam a couple extra boxes against the wall for ya btw, didnt anybody notice that i said FEDEX deilvered my canopy? makes ya think doesnt it!
  21. well putting the labels down really pisses them off, but only i can do that! oh and saying shit about the brown shorts and socks will get you a beating (but i dont have to wear em so i dont care)
  22. i can sympathize, i just got a spectre 170 from fedex about 10 minutes ago, but i still need a reserve and container to go with it, and the container wont be done for another 5-7 weeks although the rig im jumping now is identical anyways
  23. i have an XL and my head is quite large, although lately ive been having the problem of it trying to seperate from my head when i transition from a sit back to flat at breakoff. i also use the chincup and i think that has more then a little bit to do with it, but other then that its an awesome helmet
