Federal Kidnapping has no statute of limitations and they crossed State lines. Fleeing justice has no statute of limitations. Death penalty was applicable at the time of the crime(s) as correctly stated in that document and the Hahneman statements were also before the June 29 suspension. So, neither are uninformed as you claim. Your argument is that Capital crimes committed before the death penalty suspension no longer were capital crimes therefore eliminating the statute of limitations, this is not necessarily true. The death penalty was suspended as a punishment but the death penalty was not ruled unconstitutional. That is not the same as imposing a statute of limitations for prior crimes. The DOJ in the FBI note above clearly believed that it was a Capital crime at the time the crime was committed even though that punishment was temporarily suspended. I'll go with the DOJ but it be would an argument for lawyer in that situation. The JD warrant was more about publicity..

No you are wrong,, that is an amended statute. Also, Capital offences were not just for a death, it included kidnapping. This is why I don't like dealing with you, you just get so much wrong that I have to correct for you. In fact, in 1972 for Hahneman the Prosecutor initially stated he was charging Air Piracy, Kidnapping and Extortion... seeking the death penalty. So, that John Doe warrant was not necessary. They made it public as an insurance policy but if Cooper lived it would have discouraged him from coming forward. The effect of the JD warrant undermined the case. Without that warrant, if Cooper lived he may have come forward. They should not have publicized it or had it sealed if that was possible. IMO, it was more of a publicity stunt. Pub. This interview quote from Cossey is really important.. It proves that Cossey got the description of the chute left behind wrong, he called it a B-4 sport rig (freefall rig).. So, how can he get the NB-8 rig correct. If Cossey's description was wrong,, the FBI was looking for the wrong chute the entire time.

It could have been but it was not necessary.. the result was that Cooper (if alive) would be pressured to stay quiet.. without that Warrant, he may have come forward. The Warrant undermined the case.

Since there was no Statute of Limitations for a Capital crime, the John Doe warrant must have been for psychological leverage over a suspect and/or publicity. The effect of a JD Warrant would not bring Cooper forward but rather keep him from talking.

Not much, I looked at the ciphers years ago but haven't looked at the Zodiac case in years.. I worked on the Forrest Fenn treasure and had a spot to check but it was found before I could go.. I was delayed by Covid. I also worked on "The Secret" years ago and believe I have solved Montreal and Charleston.. you need to travel and get permission to dig for those.. One thing that still drives me crazy is the logical fallacy that a suspect advocate is somehow responsible for that suspect.. as if the suspect is sold to an audience, this is insane. Gryder is being a baby like Blevins, lashing out at Darren and Ulis for stating the facts.. Dan provided no new evidence.. like KC, MCCoy doesn't fit the evidence at all and is easily rejected though a better suspect than KC. People put a lot of work into a suspect but become blinded to facts, they take a rejection of their suspect personally. They are so emotionally invested they lose perspective and lose a connection to reality.. Even Ulis fell into this trap for Sheridan. It wasn't personal when I posted the facts.. but he attacked me.. Blevins does the same, he is so emotionally invested in Kenneth Christiansen to protect his investment he lashes out, distorts reality and tries to discredit anybody who points out the evidence. Everybody who gains a good knowledge of the case rejects KC based on the lack of evidence for KC being Cooper. Most of the prominent suspects just do not fit the evidence. Christiansen, Peterson, McCoy, Reca, LD Cooper, Dayton, Coffelt, List, Weber... were NOT Cooper. On Hahneman, he is the best suspect by a long shot.. he matches the evidence extremely well and no I still can't put him on the plane though I have been trying.
