The first mention of Cooper's demands in the pilot transcript says he wanted airstairs lowered inflight,, When the fuel range problem and Reno was discussed they went back and forth between lowered on takeoff and inflight.. The initial airstairs lowered inflight is corroborated in the Harrison notes with a time mark.. During the negotiations for a refuelling airport the crew offered Los Angeles and SF, Cooper rejected them saying too large wants a small airport. Agreed to Reno. So. His initial plan was airstairs lowered inflight, that changed when Reno came into play. He didn't want to refuel at a large airport,, why? if he was going to jump ASAP who cares.,, because he still hadn't decided to jump before refuelling. My take,, his initial plan was to jump much further south but after Reno was agreed to he didn't want to be on the plane when it landed so he decided to jump ASAP... and have airstairs open on takeoff.. Cooper didn't jump anywhere near where he had initially planned. The common claim that Cooper demanded Mexico as a ruse and jumped exactly where he planned just doesn't make sense and has no evidence.

We don't have the primary source but that is the nature of the Cooper case, I have been working on a 100 point Cooper profile and there are actually very few 100% concrete facts... most are likely or interpretations. That is why the case is so tough and has gone on for 50+ years. We assume Cooper wore the tie when exposed to the particles but we don't really know.. I read the evidence and it is crystal clear to me that Cooper initially demanded airstairs lowered inflight,, changed later once Reno was in play.. but everyone else thinks he only demanded airstairs lowered on takeoff so he wanted to jump ASAP. It is a significant difference because it means his first intent was not to jump ASAP. Another one,, the FBI files allude to the fact that the plane was on autopilot.. I have a presentation by Rataczak,,, Bill said.. "When the stairs came down that flight that airplane lowered about 3 to 5 degrees and I was hand flying it at the time, you don’t want to see my flight path because it looked like connect the dots." People still believe the plane was on autopilot...

I think it is legit... First the cigarette descriptions are different.. "had cigarette stains on fingers, right hand" vs "cigarette stains on right hand" Second, we don't have all the interviews and information in the files.. only a fraction. Third, Cooper was a smoker so it no surprise he would have cigarette stains on his hand, and finally, Himmelsbach also said it in 1986.. "Himmelsbach thinks other clues to Cooper being an ex-convict were the 'atrocious foul language' he used in talking to a stewardess and the way he smoked his cigarettes. Cooper was a heavy smoker and was indifferent to the fact that the smoke curled through his fingers and left nicotine stains, a trait Himmelsbach said is common among prison inmates." https://www.upi.com/Archives/1986/11/22/Folk-hero-to-some-sleazy-rotten-crook-to-others/7021533019600/ We know that there is info that is wrong in the FBI files and case but in those instances we have conflicting evidence, here we have no conflicting evidence. It is possibly incorrect, but anything is possible. On balance, it looks legit.

The $1 million dollar reward was more of a publicity stunt, it expired Dec 1, 1981. Only valid for about 2 weeks after the film release. details here.. at bottom. Daily_News_Sun__Nov_8__1981_.pdf

I believe that Max was actually contacted by somebody claiming to be Cooper.. was it a hoax or the real Cooper? is the obvious question. The person contacting Max appeared to be after money. Suddenly, he vanished so something happened to him. If it ended there it would have likely been a hoax.. Ten years later "Clara" contacts Max with a different purpose. Clara didn't want money, she wanted two things, to get Max to publicize that Cooper was really a good person and that he had died. That is odd.. Why would somebody do that. If he was dead then what was the point and why did she concoct a narrative of lies and half truths hiding Cooper's real identity... if she wanted Cooper to be known as a good guy then why not ID him if he was dead.... because "Cooper" was not dead she was trying to make him dead in the public consciousness through Max.. If she was a hoaxer she would have asked for money as well. Her story is mostly BS with half truths to not give away Cooper's identity making it very difficult to analyze. But, parsing some of the info, I believe Clara was not Cooper's girlfriend but a family member trying to throw everyone off.

I think I have figured out the real Clara,,, she was a secretary but not Cooper's girlfriend...

Cossey never provided his packing records and serial numbers for the Cooper chutes he packed..

The 100% pure Antimony caught my attention.. "Pure antimony compounds are used as abrasives, pigments, flameproofing compounds, plasticizers, and catalysts in organic synthesis; they are also used in the manufacture of tartar emetic, paints, lacquers, glass, pottery, enamels, glazes, pharmaceuticals, pyrotechnics, matches, explosives. In addition they are used in dyeing, for blueing steel, and in coloring aluminum, pewter, and zinc." tartar emetic.. (the dying process for the tie) used as paint pigments, and tartar emetic (an organic salt of antimony) is used in the textile industry to aid in binding certain dyes to fabrics and in medicine as an expectorant and a nauseant.

TiPd compounds were common in the 60's.. electronics to dentistry to aircraft

I am not alleging it is a particle from an electrode in a capacitor.. Just pointing out that there are other sources that match the TiSb ratio,, there are probably many more..
-
I think it is worth pursuing,, the problem is Ulis's exaggerated statements..... Because of the wide variety of particle compositions, I tend to think the tie was not exposed at the primary manufacturing stage but at the downstream usage/assembly where there would be a much wider particle exposure from many sources. Generally, the closer to the primary manufacture stage, the narrower the range of particles.
-
This 1969 filed patent matches the TISB particles better than the Rem Cru patent.. 70-90% Titanium with Antimony electrodes in a capacitor.. https://www.freepatentsonline.com/3564348.html Doesn't mean Cooper worked at SPRAGUE ELECTRIC CO. Sprague Capacitors were used everywhere... Having mustard on your tie doesn't mean you worked in a mustard factory. So, a TISB particle in about 85/15 is not unique to Rem-Cru from 1965-1971. There are many sources for TISB particles, alloyed or not.

Can't share publicly yet,, it is too explosive, will make grown men weep....

Ulis is way overplaying the "Commercial DNA" profile.. no way you can link a particle to a single source. First, the particles are not necessarily alloys.. I checked the patent and it does not match the particles he claimed. The patent gives a wide range for the percentage of Antimony with Titanium, it mentions generally Ni and Si with many other additives.. but does not give the combination or percentages to match the tie particles. It is not a "Commercial DNA" profile.. makes for a great narrative though.. it is close to the three particles within the range for the Antimony % but the patent is not evidence that the particles came from Rem-Cru, not even close. That Antimony % range is not exclusive to this patent. The full tie particle combination is not even mentioned. Tie particles may not even be an alloy. The particles don't match each other, one has Al instead of Si.. https://patentimages.storage.googleapis.com/d5/32/82/c2282c074fccdc/US2796347.pdf Is it worth pursuing, sure.. is Eric exaggerating and hyperbolic, sure. Interesting and clever angle but a real long shot guys.. He played the same game with the Placard,, He claimed as FACT the Placard came from flight 305, he claimed the wind speed/direction was a FACT, combined those two and claimed it proved his Western flightpath theory... but the Placard didn't come from inside 305 and it could have fallen off any 727 and the wind was an estimate at the LZ,, unknown at the Placard location. Classic Ulis.. The particles have so many element combinations and percentages that you can find anything in there that fits what you want.. The Barium Sulfate particles on the tie have sightly different minor ingredients and percentages vary a bit.. there is no real uniformity. You would expect uniformity if they were from the same source.. unless the testing isn't as accurate as we think.. Barium Sulfate is unique as it was primarily used as a contrast for digestive/internal X-Rays.. also in paints... Cosmetics.. So, how do all these slightly different "rare" particles get on the tie... Did Cooper go for an X-Ray?? Barium Sulfate is a pill/powder/drink... Paint particles,, many particles do match pigments... Cosmetics,,, Witnesses said no disguise... Mitchell said hair looked odd as if dyed.. hair dye? Some things we need to consider.. The tie had about 7 years to collect particles.. Some of the particles may have been from the production process of the Dacron Polyester material, the dying process and fire retardant.. Some of the particles may have been picked up in the plane. Must be lots of particle residue in the plane.. Some of the particles may have been post hijacking,, FBI testing and handling or long term storage. Also, the tie may not have been owned by Cooper... but he left it on the plane.

I have obtained unknown "Cooper" images that came from a witness and it is huge...

I'll chime is on the Rem-Cru stuff... First, it is interesting and worth pursuing.. I would pursue it too, but Eric is elevating an assumption as fact as he always does. Rem-Cru patent 1953 The patent has lots of alloyed combinations and % ranges.. connecting it to the few particles of 100,000 + on Coopers tie is not clear but an extremely vague and unproven assumption. https://www.freepatentsonline.com/2796347.html How many have actually read the patent.. there is no way you can claim as fact that those particles came from Rem-Cru.. The claim that the very few Ti/Antimony particles on the tie are actually from Rem-Cru due to a 1953 patent (about 12 years before the tie existed) is a real stretch. Those particles may have nothing to with Rem-Cru. Tom Kaye didn’t agree, he thought it was pure Titanium plated with antimony.. I don't know about that but there are many other sources of Ti/Antimony that may or may not be patented. For example.. capacitor with titanium and antimony.. https://www.freepatentsonline.com/3564348.html The particles are like a Rorschach test, you can find almost anything you want in them... For Rem-Cru and that patent, I don't see any proof the tie particles came from their lab. However, it is worth looking into.

Yes, didn't really pan out though. That matchbook could have been picked up almost anywhere. It was a correspondence "school".. and the matchbook was just a marketing item.

I have obtained more witness images of Cooper... and they definitely show "Latin American" in complexion and features. People who dismiss this description are just wrong. Some are justifying a suspect others just have a misread of the evidence. but the false premise that White/Caucasian meant not "Latin"... in 1971 leads to the wrong conclusion.
-
At the link on Dr Edwards blog.. Blevins thinks Cooper was a white guy with a tan. Typical nonsense. White, Olive/Latin is generally Mediterranean or Latin American.. Not surprised that Blevins covers for Kenny but Dr Edwards missed this as well. Dr Edwards posted a new TBAR Sat image showing the dredge spoils... but the money find spot was just off the top the image. https://www.goodreads.com/author_blog_posts/22463709-d-b-cooper-foia-part-4---tena-bar

Blevins is backing Edwards on his Cooper was "white" error.. because Latin/olive eliminates Christiansen.. Both are wrong, if they did their research they'd find that "Latin" was White/Caucasian back then.. there wasn't the distinction like today. Nobody ever said Cooper had a tan. Witnesses said dark, olive, latin appearance and white/caucasian. https://www.goodreads.com/author_blog_posts/22448642-d-b-cooper-ethnicity I have FBI docs nobody else has, both of you are wrong. Cooper had an olive/swarthy complexion and Latin appearance.. if your suspect doesn't have that, he isn't Cooper.
