  1. Dr Edwards also keeps insisting Cooper was not the right the age for WW2.. that would be incorrect.
  2. There were not many pics of her..
  3. Gray interviewed Weinberg, not sure about Carr... but nothing came of it, he had no idea who the hijacker could be. Good documentary on the comic, you can set subtitles to translate to english
  4. Some more examples of Dan Cooper comic images around Seattle.. In the 60's the author was in the Seattle area and Florida.. Theoretically, Cooper could have met him in the US and never read the comics.. but I still think it is a coincidence. Monorail Space Needle Interstate I5 and Space Needle Boeing factory Everett Ye Olde Curiosity shop inside "the thing" depicted was actually there. Curiosity Shop Boeing Field
  5. $1k just for the first bill from the newspaper, there was another reward for the money.
  6. Seattle PI had a $5k reward for Cooper's ID..
  7. Look how close this bill is.. it was submitted to the BEP due to termite damage. L73433712B is a Cooper bill the 12 means it is an L bill This one is an L?3433712(C?) I finally determined this bill was 1988-93.
  8. That suggests that the Cooper money could have been stored someplace until 78 or 79 then deposited at TBAR.. In other words, we still can't determine the year the money was deposited..
  9. Guy finds buried money,, bills dated 1934 sealed in a jar in a spot which was in a house crawlspace.. DRY SPOT wrapped in something like burlap and rubber bands intact.. WHAT.. bills look very good. https://www.nj.com/cape-may-county/2022/07/jersey-shore-buried-cash-enigma-deepens-with-discovery-of-more-money.html
  10. Not exactly, the bill numbers were widely distributed,, there was a reward and they were published in newspapers.. there was some checking. The fact that no bills ever turned up in circulation suggests they were never spent but does not prove it. There is no evidence they ever entered circulation.
  11. https://thecoopervortex.podbean.com/e/db-coopers-money-arthur-l-friedberg/
  12. That was Brian's cousin Denise who was with Brian when he found the money, her parents wanted a reward. I think there was a riff in the family over the money find.. It was all the same find. Brian's mother kept 4 bills but turned them in a few days later.
  13. They are close, not exact but he may have grabbed postcards for angles he couldn't take photos of.. his daughter explained how he worked and he would take lots of photos, go back to his studio which I think was Switzerland and put together his stories. There are more images of that building including inside in the comic.
  14. Another comic connection to Seattle, Ye Old Curiosity Shop.. Dan Cooper comic on left..
  15. The FBI list was widely distributed but it was re-ordered to be alphanumeric,, so easy to look up a bill. A single bill wouldn't get checked but a large number of bills passed at once may be.. then any bills that got passed would circulate for many years..
  16. The Ingram's may not have known as they had separated into piles.. but the FBI had the bill order from the micro and could reconstruct the packets.
  17. I can't confirm McChord but he often visited military bases on his research trips... The only angle I see as possible would be if he met "Cooper" during his research, that could have been in the PNW or Florida.
  18. I think it is a coincidence, but it is fascinating.. Lake Tipsoo is about 40 miles off the flight path. The image in the comic was pre hijacking. However, I thought that maybe the comic's author had met Cooper somewhere while he was in the US in the 60's.. The comic's author was also in Florida pre hijacking researching a story.. His MO was to travel solo or maybe with his wife to a specific destination do research and take lots of pics to put together a story.. He even visited the Boeing plant.. He had lots of connections in military and aviation and was given special access... Ultimately, it might just be the mother of all rabbit holes...
  19. I recall Tom saying he looked for Rubber band evidence and found nothing.. but, how long is the gooey stage.. say the money landed there in '72 gradually went gooey and passed to the more brittle stage to be found in 1980.. What is the time frame for different environments? The gooey process occurs with time but is sped up by UV and heat. Too many variables to pin down. Also, Cooper could have lost the money in the jump, it was found by somebody as lots of people were searching for it. They didn't turn it in and then it made its way into the River intentionally or unintentionally...
  20. On the left,, is Mount Rainier and Lake Tipsoo in Washington State.. On the right,, is an image from a Dan Cooper comic... The author visited the PNW in the 1960's.. including Seattle, area landmarks and the Boeing factory. Did Cooper cross paths with the author or is it just a coincidence..
  21. Were the bands still gooey or had they passed through the gooey stage.
  22. Here is Palmer pointing to the money spot with a pen in 1980,, look at the shoreline,,
  23. All Cooper bill serial numbers were entered into NCIC..
