I bet you the next couple times you go you will pick it up really fast. Basic snowboarding can be learned by yourself very quickly. By basic I mean you fall down less You will probably kick ass next time, instead of fall on it hehe i remember when I started...I learned real quick how to fall on anything but my ass! Then once I thought I was good enough to get off the tow rope, I look it straight to an intermediate slope, caught an edge and slammed head first into a VERY solid snowbank. Now I have a snowboard helmet that serves double duty, I jump it also.

I USED to rattle windows, then it was found that I had that stupid condition where you stop breathing in your sleep...not good. So I had my tonsils and adnoids removed. Now I only snore if I haven't had enough sleep recently, or I have a cold or if I'm just sleeping in a weird position. (I have been known to sleep sideways on my bed with my upper body hanging over the edge and my legs propped up on the wall.)

I've never really been nervous around DOOR! time. I'm more nervous about the separation between jumps so I don't hose the people behind me or fly right into the people in front of me. It's perfectly natural man. It's those damn instincts. They REALLY don't want you to jump, you just gotta show 'em who's boss!

I just went to put some hot cereal in the microwave and when I opened it, it started up!!!! Scared the shit out of me! I may not be able to have kids now! It confused the hell out of me. Very un-expected. I just F'n woke up! I didn't need that! I just sorta stared at the open/running microwave for a few seconds until I could comprehend what was going on. Seriously though, is that not some weird shizat??? Anyone else have funky electronic stories???

It all depends on the DZ. I'm not sure if there are states that specifically state that you have to be 18, but most say you have to be at least 16 and have a parent signiture if your a minor. I started when I was 17 in august (just turned 18 on dec 7th WHOOOHOOO!) Anyway the absolute minimum age nowadays in the U.S. is 16 with parental signiture.

No kidding, I was scanning the forums and saw ANOTHER new thread in here and I'm just thinkin...not another one.... I'm glad we didn't lose another jumper but since this has nothing to do with skydiving it should go somewhere else...IMO Interesting though. What a way to rob a bank!

Right now it's Me vs. Evil English Teacher. Unfortunately since she controls my graduation...she's winning. She's the worst teacher I have ever had. I hate everything about her and her class and every day in class I just want to walk up to her and put my fist through her face. that would be SOOO fun. I am usually pissed at everyone for the rest of the day.

I didn't check my alti nearly enough. I looked before the turns, I looked before my track. That was it, and it wasn't good enough. My fallrate was faster than I thought and so I thought I had more alti. Also the post grad jump plan was to dock on my JM, so I was focusing on that and not alti. My HUGE mistake.

I for one would never jump with him, or be around him by choice the way he is acting. He needs help! CrazyThomas, I don't meen to offend you here, but you really scare me. And it's not your look on death that is scary. I too am not afraid of death and welcome it, WHEN THE TIME COMES. I am not interested in suicide and the way you talk about killing your self...it's just not right man. Seek help, for your sake first of all. And second, for all of us. I care about everyone here. Yes even you Clay! (btw my highschool raises sheep so....) it hurts every time I read about a skydiver dying. Not because they died exactly, but because that is one less person I will never get to know. And the people that know you personally, your family, your friends. Pull Alti was 4k and I pulled at 3.8. I thought I was going to fail, but after a long talk with the DZO, it was decided that I would pass. The loss of A/A is not going to happen again. That scared the shiznat out of me.

Actually it didn't capture very well, I'll have to figure out how to increase the quality. Before anyone comments on it, yes my JM pointed at his alti 'cause I lost awareness. It scared the shit out of me and won't happen again. And please don't make fun of my track LOL it's really bad.

Nevermind. I just got a GeForce4 TI-4600 and I'm alreay uploading my grad jump vid to ftp://ftp.skydivingmovies.com/UPLOADS/ but it won't be done uploading for another hour and a half or so.

Yeah it's too bad I don't have a camcorder, or any firewire hardware

Is there anyone remotely near Portland that could transfer my first jump video and my grad jump video to avi so I can do some editing? I'd really appreciate it.
