Just imagine a nasty ass black lung, all filled with tar and shiat, and then imagine watching a freaky ass doctor putting it in you....YUCK. It makes me smile when I hear people talking about quitting. Especially now after I found out last week that one of my friends has taken it up. She's friggin 18 and smoking. I don't know how she wasn't affected by all the anti-tobacco ads and shiat. Grrrrr. Anyways

I can't find a messenger service that i actually like. I hate AOL...just because. I hate MSN cause they are becoming an AOL clone making people pay for service. I'm not a fan of ICQ because I hate that you get a billion digit # instead of a nick...I have enough numbers to remember. I don't like yahoo cause I always get attacked by the porn-stars advertising their pop-up packed porno bordeaux. Any ideas on a generally likable messenger?

I (respectfully) completely disagree. I do multiple checks on every jump. I don't do it because I'm unsure of my gear or what-have-you, but to make sure nothing has changed. Say for example you bump your rig on the door when getting in, what if you opened a tuck tab? Or what if when cramming yourself like a sardine, onto the bench or the small corners of the plane, you catch a handle and your P/C is partially showing, or your cutaway/reserve handle is pulled out of place slightly? There have been several unnecessary incidents indirectly caused by not checking handles enough. A friend of mine could have had a reserve pop on the step because he failed to check/notice that his reserve handle came loose. Yes, in this sport you need to be sure of your equipment and yourself. But it NEVER hurt anyone to double check.

Um...that was his point...you don't buy a wingsuit to land it, just like you wouldn't buy a 25sqft canopy to land. I know, it reads a little funny but it makes perfect sense.

Great job Waster, but don't give us the credit, you made the jump! And don't worry about that little bit of turn when you pull. You will get the position down soon. Just remember when you pull, the only things you want to move are your arms. At first when I would pull, I would bend a little at the waist causing me to turn right a little bit. It's nothing to be concerned about. Congrats!

Forgive me if this has already been discussed, but I did search . Would it be possible to search for members by location, that way we could find out who lives near us. Only way I think I could do it now is to ask in the Forums and I don't see the point in cluttering them for such a simple question. I do realize that privacy is an issue, but is there a way the user could specify he/she not be searchable by location?
