  1. No kidding expensive! Your talking about a complete new rig with all the bells and whistles and left over change for several skydives.
  2. Ok - here are two very rough photos of the June Parachutist for those that have not yet received their copy.
  3. Hey Outofit! We need to start a new thread for Hillbilly Days 2004. What are the dates in 2004? I need to get it on my schedule. And when in moonshine madness coming to Raeford in June? I can't wait to AFF you and your other half.
  4. Rainy Day!?! Girl - I hope you are tucking those hard earned bucks away for a sunshiny day!
  5. Sounds like you are doing a great job. "Taking it all in" is an under statement to describe what you wrote. Enjoy
  6. Absolutely, I agree - The point is, just reach out and say something.
  7. Cool Photo! I've been advanced PADI certified since 1983 but haven't scuba dove since 1993. Gave up scuba for a faster version with less O2 needs. Also being land locked in central NC, skydiving is much more accessble.
  8. 0:3:0 Even with working the Festival of Flight here in Fayetteville, NC all weekend, I still was able to sneak in three jumps on Monday before the weather kept us down. I also think a few too many three day hang overs put a few too many in the quit mode earlier than usual on Monday.
  9. The page in memory of Holly is wonderfully done. Good job to who ever put it together. Photo's of her with friends are both on the ground and in the air. A great tribute.
  10. The sun is breaking through the clouds! The sun is out! Wake up everybody! Skydive....
  11. Had a great barbeque dinner of hamburgers, hotdogs, steak, chicken & grilled fish after skydiving today. Picture 25 people under one 10 x 20 foot tent. All standing on top of two wooden picnic tables for no less than three hours trying to avoid the river of water. All eating and drinking. Raeford has had over 2 inches of rain per hour for the last 6 hours - no exaggeration. And it is still raining. At least we can brag that Raeford officially has the largest swoop pond. The entire DZ and runway. We are considering water landing gear for the CASA and Twin Otter. Just left all the wet crazies for the night in Aviators. Pat Thomas and a SunPath gang are in town. Padowan Monkey passed out by 10pm. Must have been the Kentucky moonshine. MattM with his red chem lites looking a little like a devil with wee horns. SkyMonkeyOne popped in after missing for several hours looking a little too refreshed. I think he took a nap. Droopy was hanging in there. Colbrodie was about to outdo USSkydiver. MonkeyLip was smiling and smiling, TonyT was begging for "just one more baby". Pyke was nothing less than in the middle of it all. We'll see who's standing for a dirt dive tomorrow!!
  12. Dude! no rig and a DZ that is closed on a Tuesday! Finish school, get a job near a full time DZ and buy a rig.
  13. luck - luck - luck - vibes - vibes - vibes All coming your way! Be happy the exam is in the morning. That way you can bring your rig with you to the exam and let them know where you are going as soon as you are done! Good luck with the exam.
  14. Two reserve rides 1 - I didn't pack it, at about 900 jumps, PD143R - beautiful opening, control and landing! 2 - Damn, I did pack it, at about 1500 jumps, PD113R, another great opening, control and landing! I now have over 2300 jumps, damn again, sounds like I'm do. I have a PD106R in my containers. But I already jumped the PD106R hooked up as a main in both 12mph winds and no winds. Sweet!! It won't be a problem if I need it!
  15. Congrats! Hopefully you can get more of the same or bigger still, with the remaining weekend.
  16. Speaking of parrrrrrrrtay - - Thomas of Aviator's is going to cook a pig for us on Saturday night!!! Go Thomas!
  17. Outstanding M! Glad you will be joining us. For those that don't know PilotChick - she first joined Raeford for the Ladies skills camps last year. A good belly flier and loads of fun.
  18. Yep - I couldn't get in. Will try another way......
  19. Tack Hammer, Tack Hammer, Tack Hammer Time! Forgot it was training time Hey Chuck - we (ok, you - oh master of mixery) need to come up with wimp-ette monkey fries. Something for those (yes, me) who can't handle the spicey stuff.
  20. Welllll, look what the cat drug out to his keyboard. Hey Kris. How are you? No really - I heard about the "deer in the headlights" story just a few days ago. So sorry! Glad you weren't hurt. Keep us in mind next vacation time or budget allowance time. You will be missed this 4th of July! USSkydiver and Colbrodie should both be added if they are not claiming a weekend for themselves. Yes, yes - add Colbrodie and USSkydiver!
  21. Go girl! Show that General how to enjoy the sun in sandland! We had three orders of monkey fries and two orders of cheese sticks for dinner tonight. Can you guess who was there?
  22. Sunshine - Looks like you had a very neat surgeon from the looks at that incision. Good for you. All that bruising is normal, it just doesn't make it feel any better. Good to keep you online and checking in with friends from time to time. Wishing you blue skies and a comfortable night's sleep.
  23. Cool shots. We missed it here completely due to weather.
