I think you misunderstood ---- there are normally not tailgate aircrafts in Texas and if Temple and San Marcos would get together on some events it could be a good time. Kind of like the AOT thing Maybe if all the local DZs hooked up at one place once a year everybody would have a good time which is why we do this. I jump at Temple occasionally -- hell thats where I started ---- and I don't think anyone hates Skydive Temple its the other way around due to the trash talking of a few individuals that used to work at SSM and got pissed off when new ownership took over and they we made to treat it as a real job. In response to Glen's rude comment --- after looking at porn on the internet for hours at time I usually down load my pro-track which is the only log book i keep. It is very hard to not look at what has happened on the jump as I type in my views in the comment section (as I keep looking at porn). Well first off let me say that I don't base jump so glide angle close to the ground is not something I can notice. I have found that with a flat / rigid body -- sucking my gut in flat (normally it kinds of sticks out) gives me the best performance --- from 13.5 to 2kish I have got right at 3 minutes and I had to do a 180 after flying up line of flight. We were wicked long to be flying up line of flight after exit, I would guess 4.5 miles out at least. I don't have GPS and I use a protrack for averages and a camera to calculate flight times. I am sure my flight would have been longer if I wasn't a pussy and actually worked out at some point and time -- but I got fuckin' tired. Via protrack the average for the first 119 seconds was 47mph -first half was 53mph --- 180 turn and 2nd half was 42. That was my very first flight on the V2 --- since then I have been flying with friends because as I mentioned above I am a pussy and the kind of jump mentioned above hurts. At break off I still punch it out and looking a graphs I fly on average at 35-38mph for at least 10 to 15 seconds before deployment (that is normally done after slowing down from the 60ish flocking speed) During breakoff I am definetly moving forward at a fast pace, not nearly as fast as Ted but he tends to dive the suit during break off which puts him faster forward and me much higher but we still seem to open in the same place. Thats something that needs to be discussed more which is better - diving the suit for speed(sacrificing some of the vertical slowness) or trying to balance everything for slow vertical decent and good forward speed if the end result is we open at the same place at the same altitude, I just take longer to get there. I think it will boil down to what you like better hauling ass across the ground or more balanced flight with longer delays---------if the end result is the same. I kind of think he is talking about break off -- the fall rates at Moab were 65 to 70mph which just about everyone can fly. Hell most of the time someone was leading the flock on their back. As for Chuck getting 'smoked' that was a planned dive with Darren K. in a V1 with smoke - kickin it as hard as he could and we were to keep up. And as for flying a base ........well I never fly base as I am a floaty bitch and everyone hates it when I am base. And as for the flocking part -- myself and the local flyers tend to fly all V1s and we flock at 90 to 95% so we really have to fly like shit when we go to boogies and flock with others not used to flyin hard!!! Has Cypres changed their xray card?????? I use a Vigil card which has a much better xray picture. We were held up in Salt Lake City recently and was amazed at the questions we got. They were not stupid questions -- they were questions as to what to look for when they see more rigs come thru to make it easier to fly with a rig. With all the questions about balloon jumps here are some answers. BALLOON JUMPS ARE NEVER GUARANTEED if the winds are high no balloon jumps if you don't have a b liscense or are not at least b qualified no balloon jump if you are not comfortable landing off the DZ no balloon jump If you don't want to waste half a day helping to inflate and deflate the balloon --- no balloon jump How do I know this --- for the last 6 yrs I have inflated and deflated hot air balloons numerous times all over Texas trying to jump one and something always goes wrong --- I helped organize the balloon to be at SSM and I will be on the first balloon jump that takes place.............so its a safe bet the winds will be honking or the balloon will have a hole in it The pimp hand is powdered up ... say something stupid

...........................I can fly fast or slow forward.........I can drop out of the sky or float like a bitch.............I can do it in a V2, a V1, an Acro, a GS1 but I really haven't tried all that in a Prodigy ...............Learn to fly what you own and it is not a problem. Now when I got my V2 there was a new learning curve, it was about 60 seconds(less than half a flight long) and I was flying it just as well in a flock and on my own I was going slower down and faster forward.....not super noticeable but the protrack says so. Heres the kicker I weigh 150lbs So all of you who are bitching just drop some weight and you'll fly much better As for the S6 -- ???????????? If by the time the wingsuit arrives you would have 60 to 80 flights on a GTI it really doesn't matter what suit you get --- you will have to 'relearn' how to fly a bigger suit but the learning curve will be fast. Before I recommend a suit I think you should ask Zach (buried on here) as he owns a Firebird and he flew my Vampire all last weekend. Maybe pm him and ask his opinion --- he is pretty unbiased as he is not an instructor for any manufacture and he has a decent amount of wingsuit flights on a few different suits.
