But but but... you can't do that! How else will people put you into neat little black and white boxes that they can judge you on? just wait a moment, someone will come along and demonstrate ... screw that - if it's cost effective (on its own), that should be 'incentive' enough. Sending arbitrarily chosen, premature technologies into the market by propping them up with taxpayer dollars perpetuates the problem we already see in the oil industry, and housing, etc etc etc etc only one good thing EVER came from incentivizing an industry. yes, it's TANG. that's it, an orange flavor powder. ... Couples with diff political views, can they work?

this if someone is such a puppet that they go all extreme, then they need help and one should avoid that person as much as possible - closemindedness tends to get worse with age, not better. ... they should be required to have roofs I propose the Affordable Roof Installation Act be approved and funded. did you tell her that if she's against this new law, she hates minorities and poor people and wants sick people to die? so stop crying and smile that people she doesn't know, and that likely would treat her horribly in person, are now being taken care with her hard work maybe that will help (all that is tongue in cheek - sorry for your kid, I suspect this will bring 99% of the people into a reality check of just what this 'really' means for most of us) ... seriously? that's crazy talk about free markets and all that. what utter nonsense. why.....if the government was completely out of it by now we might actually be in some CRAZY scenario where home panels are currently much more affordable and most people just have them because it makes sense financially (no "save the planet" hysteria required, no false economics blackmail needed). that would just suck ... that was a pretty complicated way of saying "most people are harmless and believe what they choose to believe without hassling others - the few fanatics on either side just strawman the other guy as some kind of extremist and then leverage the strawman to claim victory" but I like the math, so it's good and a 'victory' over stupid subjective stuff is hollow indeed ... just for clarity - I didn't recommend vents, either. fouls up the flow. some people like them - I put them in the 'gimmick' category. It's just aerodynamics, nothing fancy is needed. Skimmer has had three suits last year from other vendors where the customer asked her to just cover up the vents as they weren't helping them fly clean at all. A couple just ended up buying new suits from her eventually. the key is to talk to suit maker and get advice. My wife makes suits and we both think highly of Bevs suits and Tonys - be skeptical of nifty 'quick fix' features/options, though. A good basic suit really can do what you need, mainly through a correct fit and double layers (and the other stuff). They offer great suits, you will be happy. good luck ... actually - one thing I've learned in Speaker's Corner is that it is a lot more rare than I thought to find individuals that realize that I was quite amazed at this revelation. the converse is people say "I don't understand how he could......" when what they really mean is "I certainly wouldn't have acted that way or made those decision had I been in his shoes" is that the converse? or just another way of saying the same thing? ... does the second group contain all the "if you don't agree with me you must be a moron with no understanding of anything substantial and that makes me smarter and better than everyone else and thinking that way makes me bitter and content all at the same time" or would you classify that as more of just some people feel that way about everything and this is just one of the levers they apply to be that way - (i.e., cause or effect) (of course, I can apply that to any belief system, not just atheism. And, anyway, everyone knows that only apathetic agnostics really are complete and wonderful enough to understand the true way to approach reality - or so I'm told, I don't really care to test it either way, nor would I know how to approach it if I had a theory......which I don't.....not that it matters) ... double layers, etc etc all good things - do a search I'm not a fan of just sloppy extra material and flapping drag add drag in a functional way where ever you can. I'm not a fan of gimmicks either (vents, cords, etc etc etc) - I'm a fan of clean aerodynamics - but others have contrasting opinions... (first step is learn to fly and control - next step is full sized booties, BIG grippers, double layers, material type are the best things to start with. finally, if not enough, that's when you move to more material, looser fits. Last ditch effort - goofy gimmicky features. Some people have to do all of them. most don't even need to get to the last ditch group.) talk to your suitmaker and you can work out something good if they are worth their salt Do a bunch of searches here too, there are dozens of threads on suits for fast fallers - the trick is find comments about design features that you can take to the suitmaker, the rest is just subjective advertising for each person's favorite. one example http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=3458325;search_string=jumpsuit%20features;#3458325 ... I wasn't necessarily sticking up for you. Just posting an article without comment is a recipe for unfounded assumptions about your intent. JohnRich did it all the time and it's, frankly, a bit frustrating and unnecessary. at a minimum "I haven't yet formed an opinion on the above and was just wondering if anyone here has something productive to take from it" might even help the cause. But that marine's letter was horrible and I don't see it taking off in any way. Maybe his base message ws "I'm unemployed and my friends are too and I'm frustrated" but it really came off as a horribly biased whinefest with not real intent to be anything but showcasing a crappy stereotyping individual. (I'm not sure what to do about your tangent and an acronym I don't recognize, I'm just ignoring it for now like a good and loyal apathetic agnostic) ... well, crap. I suppose we have to apply this rule to christians, enviromentalists, Reps, Dems and all the rest too? I guess Speaker's Corner will just die out if that happens. What's the fun in that? (people get their moral compass from many different places, parents can teach morality from a lot of different sources (religion being as a popular one as any other). I don't care how they get it/learn it, if their actions show them to be decent people, I'm ok with just that. anything can be corrupted) ...
