Isn't it clear, that the widow (or widower) that leveraged their spouse's benefits certainly is a moocher. But not off of the taxpayer, but off of their spouse. as noted, I'm wallowing (I love to hate boxes): but I don't know what you mean - vets are individuals, some do well, some don't - just like every other demographic I can think of. I'll take them as individuals. Not as some amorphous group. If they need extra help transitioning to civil life, or compensation for wounds received, or trauma - ok, I'm all for it.
