  1. that's a pretty subjective item scenario - Soros gets his 70k and buries it in a mason jar. The family gets their $500 and buys groceries. Ok, the family benefited more. scenario - Soros gets his 70k and gives $500 each to 140 poor families as a tax writeoff for next year. The family gets their $500 and buys groceries. ok, the family had the same benefit, Soros doesn't care, but 140 other families are temporarily happy. scenario - no tax break - Government keeps the $70,500 and gives $60,000 to GM who 'loses' it, and the other $10,500 is used to fly the first family to Hawaii on vacation. Everyone loses except for GM execs and Michelle. Unfortunately, so many people think the 3rd scenario is the winner. ... 4. He doesn't have time for this. Apparently he's running for president of Libya and Egypt (even though the people of those countries really don't care. Not that you could tell from the news reports). Reporter to Egyptian man on the street "So, how do you feel about Pres Obama's support of your efforts and his discussions with your leaders" Egyptian man "this is OUR action and WE will change our government and want the US to stay out of it. We don't listen to your stupid president today, we listen to the Egyptian PEOPLE!!" Reporter to camera "There you have it. The Egyptian people are THRILLED with president Obama and think he is the main cause of their CHANGE of government to a democratic model. Back to you" ... 9. His correct action would be to request a stay on the law and ask the Supremes to review the constitutionality. 10. quote out of context all you want - but the context is what matters in terms of each individual's opinion of what's fair comes down to who really owns their stuff - the individual, or the collective now I don't believe you understand the term "immeasurable" $400,000 - $500 = ('measurable' result left as an exercise for the student) ... 12. It seems to me the benefit is easily measured, it is the amount of the reduction. If someone was previously paying $500, and after the tax cut pays nothing, their benefit is $500. Similarly if someone else was paying $100,000, and their tax was reduced to $60,000, their benefit is $40,000. By what logic is $500 immeasurably more than $40,000? Don conversely by what logic is 40% immeasurably more than 100%? So, does the word "share" mean 1 - share of each individual's income? or; 2 - share of the total community's tax load? because it depends on whether you view people as individuals vs a collective, doesn't it? this is a silly nitpic contest - one side believes all the money is the government's, so any net dollar reduction is "spending" and they want the government to take it back. The other side believes that someone has the right to their own property and that any money saved is less taken away. these too sides don't have any common ground to discuss - so it's pointless ... 20. 1 - you mean "the wishes of the union government employees" 2 - the majority of the citizenry is likely for spending cuts - the interviews and news reports here (MN, WI) bear me out. 24. 1990 Vector V3.5 (Maverick and Tempo inside) for CrW It's not custom to me, but close, so I'd like the harness fit to be better. More padded legs and cut-in laterals would be nice (of course they offer that now). 2003 Odyssey (Stiletto 120 and PDR 126) - bought new back then - fully articulated - LOVE IT. I'd like the padded back mod. The RSL routing is a bit clumsy around the 3 rings no matter what we do. Safe, but not 'crisply' contained. On order - Mirage G4 (another Stiletto 120, PDR126 combo) likely to show up any week now. I'll let you know after a season or so. It sounds super comfy though. General - I like the vector (semi-stowless) bag. I'd like the other vendors to all offer something similar. It'll be fun to have 3 rigs this year. These are my 3 favorite manufacturers so far too from what I've seen and jumped. ... 25. For packing, do they really need to be that heavy? It's not like were trying to increase fall rate, just hold down and control the gear while packing. Pea gravel, dried corn or peas or beans - pretty much anything round and smooth that won't rot or cut through the fabric and of a size that allows the bag to lie smooth. My wife stopped making weight belts because the shot prices skyrocketed (tripled over the course of a year) a couple years ago. She only does it now if the customer provides their own shot. ...
