You two are debating two completely different things. Flapping material tosses the body around. That goes for Freefly, RW, etc. All the disciplines have had a trend to "smoother is cleaner". Usually means the suits get more and more form fitting over time. Makes perfect sense and it doesn't just apply to fit, medium size/build bodies. Dave's note is about matching fall rates requiring us to have "dress for success" clothing fits is a trade off to best aerodynamics. But everyone flies better (individually) with smoother contours. But if they can't stay down/up with the others, it doesn't help that they are better able to be precise and still if the goal is turning formations and getting docks with someone else. My position - 'fly your body' and learn as much range as you can. Use weights before trying to change suit fit to something sloppy. But if all that sucks, then do what you gotta do - even if you look like a big flapping tent in freefall. And, Finally, I don't care what sport you do, you're better at it fit than out of shape - baseball being the only official exception. So you're both right. But you're a lot more courteous about it. ... Driving is a one dimensional activity - a monkey can do it - being proud of your driving abilities is like being proud of being able to put on pants

Am I to assume that you calculated that republicans outnumber democrats of all political office by 28%? (hence all politicians are stupid assholes?) And you lost me with the Italians comment. It was a non-sequitor. Therefore, you actually 'got it'. ... Fear of ending up like a good friend *NOT for the ladies*

Shah - I find you hilarious and you should start a comic strip based on all this. You'd be rich. Seriously, after all the threads, etc. Sounds to me like you should just stop completely and get over the 1st one completely before trying to fill that void. Taking a break is hard to do for some personalities, I was one. But it pays off. A cripes, if you don't want to settle just to be with 'anyone', then just plain don't settle. your friend was an idiot ... I don't see any issues. The politicos and the unions hire in a horde of professional protesters from out of state. The money types hire in "goons" to break the strike (from out of state). State wins as they all pay for hotels and meals (and frequent emergency medical treatment) and bring an influx of cash to local businesses. Everyone wins. ... You're fooling yourself. It may not have been the safest alternative or the socially acceptable alternative (not that it is today either), but abortions have been a viable alternative for thousands of years. It was certainly a viable alternative in 1958. Hell, Blue Denim opened on Broadway in February of 1958. Ok..perhaps viable wasn't the right term. I'm thinking not as safe or easy as today. no, no, Quade's right. you and I have been down that road before RW - Government propping of a technology results in non-cost effective results due to less profit profit pressure => it takes longer to make something that's truly marketable for the populace. Once you take the crutch away, you can't walk normal. Example - subsidizing John's solar panel purchases by taking $$$ away from 12 of John's neighbors (who can not now afford what would have been cheaper panel in the absence of a subsidy policy that drove up the price and reduced the quality). BV - If it wasn't for NASA we'd never have had Tang. If it wasn't for grants for medical research we'd not have many cures. Why would you ever take the crutch away? Subsidies kickstart industries. I see both sides, but lean to the 'market forces' side of the line. We can agree we have different philosophies on this. We can also agree, that as one item increases in price, that'll drive innovation to make alternates. ... jest if natural market forces drive it to that price, then so be it - that's how it should be politics and global warming nutjobs, though, will attempt to drive that price up in an unnatural fashion - which I truly believe will STIFLE the evolution of alternate energy efficiency if it does, then think of the money to be made with alternate energy technology developed as it should be ... Silly BV - It wasn't a poke at you directly, it was a poke at the sky is falling mentality. Frankly, the only real thing I think about you is as a jump buddy if I ever get west. They are misunderstood. The government should immediately finance free Go Pro's for everyone. See, we just collect from every individual, the amount of a new Go Pro - we add $50 for processing, congress travel fees, and shipping, and then - viola! - everyone gets FREE GoPros in the mail. After the mandatory training (mostly on sensitivity), all can use their free GoPros responsibly as defined by the local government watch group finance by small increases in property taxes. ... 10% tax rate > 0% tax rate That is all. you're not even trying - remember, it's 40,000 vs 500 - or 40% vs 100% - depending on how you view individualism vs collectivism In other words, you consider that $40,500 to belong to the government. Others consider that $40,500 to belong to those two families. So it's very clear, based on your replies, which group you favor. "Reckless spending" => end game is the gov should take EVERYTHING from everybody, and then divvy it out as they see fit.
