  1. perhaps, but for when both spouses work, it'll end up that they'll likely pay at the rate of the higher one or the combined And married doesn't pay as single - they may choose to pay as "married filing separately" that way uncle sam still has the ability to use a special table to still jack the rate of the spouse with the lower income (i.e., there are cross referencing requirements if you do that - in other words, they still take into consideration your marital status) ... 3. agreed - and if they can take care of the kids AND mom, that would be best. Hopefully it doesn't become a choice between the well being of the kids vs your concerns about mom. My position would be apparent in that scenario. Good luck to shortyj - no easy answers from the random strangers here the other thing we don't know - what kind of person is the parole officer - are they a 'stand up' person that's really trying to look out for the mom? or are they that stereotype? That would play into it. ... Driving is a one dimensional activity - a monkey can do it - being proud of your driving abilities is like being proud of being able to put on pants

  5. IMO - that design is still less likely to initiate a snag. Though I do wonder why the back of it doesn't rise up higher (actually create a nest all the way around at least up to midway on the cam for the camera to sit in) and then streamline to the rear a bit more (probably to access the buttons on the cam). Fixing the mount to helmet interface is simply a line of gaffer's tape in case the seam isn't flush on assembly then ... 6. it's good of you to offer pictures of your mount, but that statement is nuts take some lines and just pull them across your setup from about any direction If you mean the plastic case about the camera - agree, nice and smooth. I like the effort in the design to try to make the piece parts smooth. It's the assembly, not the pieces. That snag factor is about the whole setup. And that's about as much of a snag setup as anything out there. It's a problem with the standard "camera on a post" type mounts - frankly, it's what people are trying to fix. because of Go-Pro's - all the newbies are jumping cameras way too soon, and they exacerbate it with these mounts too ... 7. I'd make the decision solely based on the 7 your old, 5 year old, and 3 month old's best interests. mom has already set her true priorities - can't just 'writer her off' if any way possible but the priority has to be on those kids tough call - seems best if shortyj and the grandma sit down together and make the decision as the only real family those kids might have ... 8. that's the point - the truly faithful should not feel compelled to make these claims - if they had strong enough convictions. It's all about recruitment (or ego) - or it wouldn't be necessary ditto for the anti-religious ... 9. but, in actuality, just because the organization wanted to make the term "faith" more substantial by cooking up loose observations and calling it rational underpinning doesn't change the true meaning and intent of the term I'm not interested in this type of semantics discussion. I understand your point and expect you to acknowledge mine....so we don't waste any more time. ... 10. the statement about trust is the true one. The point about "God being a given" is the absolute statement of blind faith. all the research and proof and studies is twofold - rationalization by those of weak faith for something that doesn't require (true, objective) proof. In fact, ANY indication of that type of proof is anathema to the whole concept. And, consolidation of the organized power structure to maintain it's position in the world over its membership and the grow that membership by any means. (that's the personal AND the organizational justifications by those of 'supposed' faith to rationalize their beliefs.) none of the 'observations' can be given as any kind of true proof - that's silly. It's like the simpleton pointing to the birth of a child and claiming it's proof and a miracle - even though it's happened to billions of people - perhaps all of them..... ... 13. Actually, when it comes to saving your life or the life of others, I'd prefer to have the OPTION to actively protect myself and others - and have the LAW back me up. (So SYG should be an option) But for the poll? - all of the above - the law shouldn't be taking away any reasonable options from anyone on the matter of self protection. Adding in the bottom 3 shows a mockery based on ego - but if they would work, would you do it for your kids? ... 14. that statement is completely contrary to the requirement for faith look - you either believe, or you don't believe - no other requirement or evidence is needed any claim to "proof" is just lame rationalization for those of weak faith IMO ... 15. I agree on that. Except this crowd won't ever get the full evidence that a real juror will. 16. male end of buckle broke last weekend - I wish it was a standard buckle.... one I could find at a fabric or hobby store, but it seems custom. However, unfeathered got me a replacement within a couple days - that's pretty good service. I'd hate to have to replace the female side though. I think it's riveted in and under the glue ... 25. this but I'd temper it a bit - if his religious beliefs support that he's against murder and stealing and treating others unfairly, etc, etc, etc. Then I don't mind those beliefs guiding his leadership. If those beliefs drive him to force others to sacrifice sheep, beat their daughters, and throw citizens into woodchippers for fashion reasons, then I have a real problem with it. I don't care how someone gets their morality, I just care about the content of their defined morality. ...
