  1. I'd think it would be politics - much like church 1 - beliefs without proof 2 - take your money 3 - corrupt leadership 4 - hides behind a false front of goodness 5 - creates pointless division 6 - used to control the masses but, you can have religion, politics, heated causes on TV. So you are probably correct Edit: I'd also assume that opium would be the opiate of the people too in some cases ... 3. Agreed - Actually, for H - I typically have him also take the inside's grip (not OC) and really drill the 'hockey stop' exit with the IC to get that timing worked out. Tail can fall on that OC grip pretty easy from an H (when I'm tail on an H exit, I actually don't head jam, but I have the OC grip between Set and Go anyway since I'm already moving before GO - no need for the head jam). It helps to emphasize to the IC the importance of them getting hips out and down - it helps the Tail to learn to watch the IC hips and position themselves correctly. Added bonus - Tail leaves on the IC so much, I try to maintain that when I can. And, a left hand grip on the bar for tail is a much more stable grip too while the others are jockeying around. 4. First? This is precisely what I've been saying to Pops and Dav for about three pages now. and what they've been saying to you - doesn't count that you only noticed it with yourself -Picking up on what the other guy is saying is always tougher when you assume the other guy has an agenda that he really doesn't Jakee says - "I think it's important to let them know they are out of line" others hear "we should force the private organization to accept gays" DavJohns says - "I don't see the point in slamming them, they'll fall on their own sword in today's world" - Jakee hears "everyone should just shut up" Pops says - "I'm really sick of protesters in general butting in on private groups" - Jakee hears "Pops is really sick of protesters butting in on private groups because he's a racist southerner" that's why Wendy wins 'first' she recognized it for everyone ... 9. your post and Skyrad's post seem a bit odd. You are both essentially restating the article and then claiming your statements refutes it - can you clarify then your disagreement? or are you just inferring something in addition to what was written edit: I guess what I'm seeing is just a semantics difference in the definition of equal - but everyone acknowledging differences in gender. But certainly differences in individuals are a strength. Generalizations by gender are interesting, but not nearly as powerful as individual traits regardless. ... 13. sure, but recognize that if gov spending pushes us over the top, then that same dollar spent more efficiently from the private sector would have netted us more positive the money has to come from someone at least until the US government is able to successfully tax citizens in other countries and spend it here......maybe they can pass a law allowing us to tax foreign countries for the express purpose of keeping our trade balance positive.....I'm sure they will go along with that ... 16. absolutely - the job will have requirements. and as long as an individual can meet them, they can do the job. This is how everything should work, not just military. And as long as they don't have separate standards to artificially load to some kind of affirmative action goal, I'm all for it. (But I do worry that some politician will try to do just that). ... 17. charging more for unhealthy activity makes a lot of sense private insurance can take of it, no need for government health insurance to do it. no need for government insurance at all. Seems that gov insurance would ignore differences like this. I'd think the issue will be them picking and choosing based on politics, not actuarial tables ... 19. it really is just about benefits - that's the only role available to gov the 'legitimizing' comment is so very subjective that I can't imagine any government action on the subject to have a measurable effect on anything meaningful other than benefits - a marriage is legitimate because the couple live the life, and maybe there is some level of personal appreciation we get from the acknowledgment of family and the closest of friends. Other than that, it's pretty pointless. ... Driving is a one dimensional activity - a monkey can do it - being proud of your driving abilities is like being proud of being able to put on pants

  22. actually, I'm sure he has shot trap and likely does it to have a bit of fun. Of course he brings it up now, it's pertinent to the point that he SHOULD understand one (minor) facet of the discussion. And that he hasn't brought it up before would be because it's just another activity, he likely doesn't misuse the weapon, and it's not anybody else's business whether he finds shooting guns to be a fun, and private, hobby or not. If someone wanted to outlaw or restrict basketball or golf, I'm sure he'd also mention that does those activities too. I assume, that if he was a private citizen, he'd be pretty upset at a government that doesn't trust him enough to own a piece of property and to practice a recreational activity responsibly..... The point that he is treating his experience as the only legitimate reason for firearms ownership - or as the only valid aspect - just highlights his extreme narcissism, which we all already know about, so nothing new there. {{the other, more likely, point, is he just answered a question honestly}} ...
