  1. Yep. It's definitely happening more than I would like at just about every place I've been.l
  2. Definitely trap the momma cat and take her in. It sounds like the kittens are at least a few weeks old. They need to be handled now or else they will be really hard to socialize. I had the same problem with a stray having kittens under my house a couple years ago. We put food and water out and tried to befriend them but let them stay. By the time we could touch the kittens, momma was already pregnant again and the kittens were only around 8 or so weeks old. I kept one and took the rest to the shelter. The one I kept never did like anyone else and would always hide if other people were around. I'm sure that was due to lack of socialization right after they were born. Don't let them stay there or else you'll probably end up with a second litter of kittens.
  3. I still have the same reserve I started with. And I will NOT ever be downsizing my reserve. (Except to an optimum which would mean it's still really the same size). IMHO there is no reason to downsize a reserve. Sure a small reserve looks cool but do you really want to be under it unconcious or disabled? Reserves aren't for fun, they're to save your ass
  4. The problem is when they advertise fun jumping or tell people to come on by and we'll get you up. Then once you show up you are basically told to go to hell. If they want to be stictly tandem factories I'm all for it, yes it is their business, BUT they need to make that clear from the start and not be wishy washy about fun jumpers!
  5. Would it be camping if I slept in my car that I just happened to leave at the hanger
  6. There are many places to stay with skydivers that last night if you can't get a hotel room. Plus we just called a motel in Selton city center and they have several rooms left. I'll PM you with that info. What's the camping situation? Are there showers available? Is it close enough to the hanger to set up your camping gear and leave it unattended?
  7. Got your order! Sent your tickets! Good luck! You'll be at the boogie won't you? Of course! Not sure how much jumping though, realized I still need to save for the P3 camps in September. On the other hand, if I win something, I'm thinking I could sell it off for jump tickets!
  8. 100 at first year 350 at two years 700 at three years (started working) 1600 at fiveish years (most of sixth year was grounded due to injury)
  9. Well, the seller was the builder of the community, not an individual seller, so I'm sure that had something to do with it.
  10. I believe it just closes with the red cable. I have one buried somewhere but have never actually used it.
  11. Not true. I would have paid mine and the sellers as the buyer. (or maybe that was one of the inherent reasons why I didn't go through with the purchase. Although I was looking at a townhouse in a HOA.)
  12. I started the process of buying a place a little while ago. Even though I didn't actually buy the place I did have a contract drawn up. I, as the buyer, would have been responsible for paying both my realtor's commission and the selling realtor's commission. I did have my realtor substantially lower his commission but the selling realtor would not lower his. My understanding was the buyer pays both and the seller pays nothing. Not sure if that is standard or can be negotiated further.

  14. I was thinking about trying a wingsuit but I have a Katana 120. Not the recommended canopy choice I know but what about trying a beginning suit with it? Yah or nay?
  15. We can hook you up down here! Just did one last Friday morning. There's a guy down here who will take us pretty much anytime we can get a load together.
  16. It's based upon the article in the July issue of skydiving magazine. Is the article wrong?
  17. It is current. I didn't say any country forbid the use Just that those had recalls after the French got involved in grounding it.
  18. Even in light of all the recalls in France, Australia and Britian? And the fact that Virgil would not voluntarially recall units known to be defective. They had to be forced into it via French government interferance. At least with the Cypresses they were recalled voluntarily by the company.
  19. Jumping a helicopter. It's similiar to jumping any stationary object ie building, cliff whatever. You get the falling feeling because there is no wind resistance at first like there is from a plane that's flying forward when you jump.
  20. I'm curious to know why your audiologist told you not to wear them. I always wear mine. In fact since they are digital they suppress amplification above a certain noise threshold so I don't need to worry about the noise level. They act as an earplug in effect.
  21. Shower shoes and sunscreen!
