Wow-the price really has gone up. I bought my cypress 1 about 4 years ago brand new from para gear for $850. are you sure it was a brand new Cypres1 manufactured within a few months of your purchase date ? Cypres2 replaced Cypres1s May 2003 as far as I know.... My bad - I bought it in 02 or 03 so that would make it 5-6 years old. Yes it was a brand new cypres1. Before they came out with the cypres2.

Nope leaving food out did not help I just received an entertaining show from the neighborhood racoon who did not seem afraid of me at all. Time to put up those lost posters I guess. The bad thing is I'm going out of town for a week on Wednesday.

So NOT what I want to hear I'm flying to Vegas on Wednesday for a wedding. Thankfully at least it's non stop.

Yes he's neutered but no chip. I think I might be considering that.

Call VSE, I've seen them do white risers and I think webbing.
-
How often do you replace your type 17 (mini) risers??
tetra316 replied to pjc's topic in Gear and Rigging
Probably have about 800 or so on mine and have no intention of changing them soon nor do they show much wear. Proper gear handling and storeage is a good idea -
Yes he definitely is fixed. There are enough cats out there as it is.

QuoteThe only way a cat should be let outside is if you live in the middle of freaking nowhere and have no neighbors. Anything else is irresponsible pet ownership and being a less than considerate neighbor. Although I don't wish any harm to your cat, you also know that's a risk you take when being neglectful of pets like that... the cat's the one that pays the price. Lecture done

Well...I just moved but only a couple blocks away. I have been checking back at the other house every evening but he's already come back to the new house a couple times before this so I'm sure he knows where home is. As for neighbors I have no idea, I don't even know any.

My cat has dissappeared He usually goes out during the day and comes in at night with occassional overnighters for a day or two. However, I haven't seen him since last Saturday. Now I'm starting to wonder if he'll be coming back. I've already check the local shelters just in case and plan on rechecking in a couple days. So you cat owners, do you think I should leave food outside for him? I've never done that always thinking if he's hungry enough he'll come back in. Any helpful tricks?

That's a question that would be difficult for most PHD students to answer. Do you really want to thrust it upon a child? I was referring to your comment that you felt it was irresponsible for them to be having a child since the 'husband' was the one pregnant. Just curious if you would still think their having a child would be irresponsible if the wife was pregnant. Personally, as long as it is a loving home, kudos to them. Don't think it's really that different than a gay couple having kids.
-
Would you think that if it was the wife that was pregnant instead?

I have Farmers Insurance, rental insurance at the place I live. It will cover my rig if anyting happens to it at the house and if it's stolen from my car. Don't think it will cover anything out side those two places though.

Surplus cameo pants(very durable ) and t-shirt.

The closest I've come is the Summer Solstice boogie in Alaska. A skydive over a glacier lake, landing on the side, packup and and take a helicopter sightseeing tour over the glaciers followed by a jump from the heli over the dz. Definitely my most memorable jump. Too bad the dz is no longer around.

As mentioned rain hurts. Also I've found the wetter your canopy, the quicker and harder the opening at terminal

Same here. I was jumping a Katana 107 and had been for a 200 or so jumps when I hurt my knee. After coming back I jumped a Stiletto 135 for a couple jumps and plan on putting many more on my Katana 120 before going back to the 107. Doesn't help that I hurt myself landing so also have that fear to get over too.

The gas could be related to the food you're feeding him if it's not a medical problem. Cheaper foods tend to produce more gas. Switch to a premium brand and that should go away. At least that was my experience.

Anyone mentioned you are a skydiver in a job interview?
tetra316 replied to mlbolon's topic in The Bonfire
I mentioned it because I'm an instructor so I emphasied that part of it. They were very impressed. I got the job. -
So how much for just the removable slider and where would you get it?

How long does Neptune save info after battery dies?
tetra316 replied to MagicGuy's topic in Gear and Rigging
You won't lose your data, I've had my battery die twice and all was good -
FHA is the way to go if you don't have a big down payment.....I bought my house with a FHA loan and then did a refi two years later to get rid of the PMI. You should e-mail me the information on the property and maybe I could help you out.....I'm an appraiser working around PDX you know Oh and it was awesome doing those six way rollout exits with you last weekend I might just take you up on that. By the way they said there's no way to avoid PMI when signing but I can get an appraisal in a year or two, refinance and possibly remove it.

I saw that, but it seems they also increased the interest rates too but different websites are announcing different rates
