I live in the Augusta area. There used to be a DZ nearby at Barnwell, SC but the DZO had serious health issues. Haven't done it in a while, But we occasionally bring in a plane there and jump. Being able to think during freefall

I personally call it "The Blur Factor". Your mind KNOWS that your ass isn't supposed to be where it is at! It will diminish gradually (some faster than others) over the next several hundred jumps, and you will gain more and more of what is referred to as "in-air-awareness". I know some might argue with this, but I am not sure if anyone ever gets 100% out of it. 99.9999999999% maybe for some of the sky lords, but I think there is always a touch of it. As much as I'd like, both are not possible. One or two jumps is probably all I'd be able to squeeze in. (Going with wuffo friends and Sat. is our only free day). Read where one is 35 and one is 20 from Seattle so distance isn't a factor (I drive 128 to go jump). As long as they are friendly and safe I'll be happy.

Going to be in Seattle for a couple of days in September. Might have a chance to go sneak in a couple of jumps while there on Saturday. Kapowsin or Snohomish? Why? Not only is it possible, and been done, but I recently talked to Jay about his record. I asked did he think it was at the saturation point. (Obviously no one will ever make 10,000 jumps in a day, so somewhere between 534 & 10,000 would be the saturation point.) He said no. He thought 600 was possible and that he was putting together an attempt for the fall of '06. Break it or not, he said this would be his last go at it... he turns 50 the same year and said he couldn't put his wife through the headaches of it again! Go JAY!!! An FTP with a SIDE mount? I don't think I've ever seen that! I dropped Bonehead an e-mail before I purchased to see what size they recommended. They said inside dimensions of 29x18x10 inches.
