I am just glad that is is electronically possible for the iPod to interface with the mixer. My plan is to make up several "2-song play-lists", each with an appropriate tempo "interview" song and a faster "freefall" song. I can have a ton of these playlists (for girly-girl, hard edge stuff, swing music, etc) and add, subtract or update them as necessary. These would eliminate the need for speed searching as well as the electronic noise involved with doing so. Thoughts? "When I die, I want to go like my grandmother, who died peacefully in her sleep. I am putting together a personal use mixing station to dub my own DVDs for tandems and AFF customers' videos. I will be using a WJ-MX10 (with a Titlemaker 2000). The question is: Can / Does anyone use their iPod for their music input while dubbing videos? Many thanks in advance guys (and girls)! A few days ago I saw a post about a skydiver who had invented a new type of rollercoaster he was trying to market/sell. He had also invented some other things (wind tunnel?). You will probably end up paying about the same money (AFF vs. Static Line) by the time you "cross the finish line", but it cost less money per jump for the static line jumps... thus making it more affordable to go make a training jump or 2 per week end. Jay does indeed start his jumping near sunset. He also has a complete gear checking crew... medical staff that accompanies him on he plane (checking vitals and much more). Like a previous post said, it is difficult to imagine what goes into this. If it can be done, Jay will "Get 'R Done!" I had the privilege of meeting and jumping with Jay last year... and talking to him about the record attempts. He did use a Porter last time...ONE Porter! (another was around in case of mechanical problems) He lands right next to where the Porter stops. He has a very special configuration on his canopies that allow him to pull down on the front risers with minimal effort (thus getting out of the sky faster). He is basically coming out of the rig as he is landing and people are running next to him holding another rig like an open coat for him to get into. Seems like he told me (from his foot touching down to him sitting in the plane) they were averaging about 8.5 seconds. I asked him what he thought the saturation point was for this record and he thought this was about it. He also said that make it or not, this was his last run at it. He is in tremendous athletic condition but he is turning 50 and this is a monumental undertaking. Everyone wishes him success but more than that a very SAFE attempt. Get 'em Jay. OK... to clear up a little bit of confusion: The balloon jumps ARE on for this Saturday, April 29th in the morning. I just talked to Wayne on the phone and confirmed this. He will be posting soon as to the exact meeting location and time. He will NOT be doing the Paypal thing this time so please bring cash. Although he didn't specify I assume we will be doing things similar to last time (since we are using the same balloon people). First jump is from 10.5K and the second from 5.5K. $100 bucks for both. My Parachutist and Skydiving magazines arrive (to me) app. 2 weeks apart. Nicely staggered me thinks. Today I get them BOTH!
