So we should stay here and suffer democratic impostion of more taxes to support the wealthy and poor. Where might you be positioned. Poor or rich? Personally the girls in Russia are kinda fine and the booze is good but I'd not give up the the smell of fine pine and clear air of the blue ridge. Not too mention those fine WVA girls swinging on tree roped swings across the shenadoah.

That file must have been pretty big. I bailed before seeing it. What this about?

Funny, in Maryland you have to ask the perp what weapon he has first as if he as a 22 pistol, then you have to produce less 22 to defend yourself. No joke. Shoot a perp with a 45 when he's carring a knife, club, or 38 you've violated MD law in using a force greater than what is used against you. Hey bro, what gun you got? I need to decide what to use to defend myself. bla bla bla. law makers have their heads up there ass. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Right_of_self-defense_in_Maryland

Facts are: people love viewing violence. If you gave NFL players clubs, you wouldn't be able to even get in the stadium. Hollywood folk are hypocrits. They'll do anything to get on screen and make a few bucks even if it is against their beliefs. Half those movie stars are gun owners.

There's people behind both parties running the show. Reps and Dems are basically the same party. They play the middle class for suckers, keeping them in an argument that can never be won rep vs. dem. Middle class needs to wise up and form their own party with their own representatives to ensure MC is treated as good as the rich and the poor. Problem is: they are the only ones working and don't have time to form any organization. The rich our out on vacation and the poor are home watching Ophra.

Some states, including MD have duty to flee. Yes that's right. You have to run. If you stand and defend and hurt the perp, you can be sued by the perp or the perps heirs. If you can believe it. So having a gun in the house for self defense, as legal, will be of no use if perp breaks in and attempts to kill you.

What bothers me now is 20 round mapul mags are selling for $75 to $100 each and they were $15 each. Should have bought 1000 20 rounders when they were cheap. Stripped AR15 receivers were once $90 are now selling for as much as $350 if you can even find one. If there is anything OBAMA has done he's certainly fueled gun sales, yet has made shooting sports a very expensive hobby. Keeping quiet on exactly any ruling as gun sales people are saying the ban is coming... So you better stock up while you can now! .223 bullets are golden.

Its been reported LOC is corrently storing 170 billion tweets from twitter aparently for historical purposes. And will archive more tweets. So the Tweeter guys got LOC to back up twitter data so they wouldn't have to? Who pays for that? And who needs to store what Kardashian tweeted for some sort of historical purpose? More government waste.

3 NYPD cops shot today in 2 separate incidents within an hour.

Lets go and rob a car dealership owned by cops family where the cop was part time employee. Good they were armed. Lucky unarmed were not the victims in this case. Good case for cc. -
There are hundreds of billions of weapons on the planet most for free taking, including stones, sticks, broken bottles, water if you consider drowning someone. The problem is: there are simply too many people on the planet in too little space. They've already done study on rats in confined spaces. They eat each other, turn gay (sorry), become disenfranched mentally and experience psycotic eposodes. Our food supply is infected with all types of harmful additives etc. I don't have any solution but if there's anything that might be banned it is sperm, or perhaps eggs for a brief interlude to allow the planet to catch its breath. No the planet will not support 100 billion people.

Thanks for displaying. Didn't know what a 30 round magazine looked like. So tired of journalists actions becoming the story when they are suppose to be reporting stories.

Why Pro and Anti-Gun Advocates Are Not Speaking The Same Language
OHCHUTE replied to Dean358's topic in Speakers Corner
EXACTLY WHAT I WAS THINKING. Glad you posted this Billvon so I didn't have to. Yea leave the front door wide open but put a gun on the night stand. I really can't believe these conversation that EXCLUDE door locks are even taking place. Not having windows on first level is also a measure. Then you just spot anyone in the parking lot with a 10 foot ladder and a rifle. -
Butler PA already instituted arm guards. So STATES know WTF to do better than Congress. For god sakes they can't even balance a budget. Also, states are talking locked doors and buzzers. Fact of the matter is folks, no matter if there all guns are banned, someone still might have a gun, and someone might be a nutjob. Hence, you need security at the entry point of every school. Just the society we live in. http://usnews.nbcnews.com/_news/2012/12/20/16042916-armed-guards-locked-entryways-cameras-schools-seek-security-after-sandy-hook?lite

HOLD IT. We spend trillions protecting Afan kids, Iraqi kids, and get ourselves killed doing that but we can't put a guy near the front door of a school with a gun? We spend million each year protecting murderers on death row. Meanwhile half of all the cops are out there posing a drug dealer to get a collar. I mean come on. Bring the troops home and lets start concentrating on us for a change. Besides all this glorification of Iraqi and Afgan wars has brought us little progress only learning new ways to walk with a fake leg. There are plenty of volunteers that would work to protect a school if only they were allowed to be on school property with a defensive weapon. Better door locks included.

So if your are super stable, smooth and fearless, will they let go a tad, or are you going to be clenched tight no matter what? I'm thinking though the requirment to ARCH, no matter what your instinct might be otherwise.

We see a lot of that is this very forum. A lot of would-be Rambos post here. Some of us actually train for these ASR scenarios. Part of that is knowing when NOT to shoot. But drawing and showing has an effect too. Maybe better preparation in the school systems security would be a benefit. Matt I wonder if Lanza knew he could have shot the lock and get in or by chance when he got there the situation was just available. It is believed the shooter in the theater in CO had been to the theater and may had already tried out his plan of jaming the exit door open so that he could return with a gun. Regretably as nutty as our society is, we have to control access points.

The access/ entry failed. Hence a review of access/ entry security is necessary. Bullet proof lock, armed quarde behind the bullet proof lock... etc. Leaving the door vunerable, whilst advocate giving the second grade school teach a gun who may not even get to the classroom where the shooting is going on is not a good idea. I'm really surprised these guy's are appearing on TV advocating this, without advocating securing the entry points. Unbelievable. A teacher way out in the parking lot, who can see everyone getting out of their car with a radio would help. ELIMINATING PARENTS DRIVING KIDS TO SCHOOL WOULD LIMIT CARS TO PRINCIPAL AND TEACHERS, so it would be easy to spot any car not belonging there. Where did Lanza park his car? Who saw him get out of the car? No one. -
I don't think airport type security is really possible in every single school. Armed teachers would minimize fatalities. I also suggested having armed security guards/LEO's. I read about a school here in Texas that did arm their teachers. Not that dumb of an idea in my opinion. Schools could control access/entry points waaaaay better than they do. Doesn't have to have as much security as airport but an armed guarde near the door might help. Arming a few teachers, and not the door is a dumb idea. Why, by the time the armed teach got to the classroom where the shoot was kids would already be dead. Look at Giffords shooting case in AZ. Joe Zamudio who was carrying a gun, heard shots from afar yet couldn't get there in time to do any good. Arming teachers is not as good as controlling access to the school grounds or building. I'm much rather sit in a class knowing the building was secured, not knowing a teacher had a gun on the second floor, and a 100 yards from where I was sitting where the door was wide open.
-
There's very few gun getting through airport security. I wonder why? OH, someone is controlling access to the terminal building. Same can be done at a school. The idea of arming a few teachers is dumb. By the time the armed teacher would get clear across the school to the room where the shooting was, 20 kids would be dead. All teachers would need to be armed. Got to keep the perp out. I mentioned this in another thread: kill everyone on death row, and then reposition those guards at schools. Guys on death row have more protection than elementary schools!
-
Execuite all the murders on death row, and take the money you'll save there to protect the schools. There's 700 on death row in San Quenten alone. Think about it. Our tax dollars are spent keeping murders alive when they should be gone. They put body armor on Mohammed, the DC sniper to keep him safe, safe enough so the lawyer could make 20 million dollar defending him from the gallows. Yes MD spent 20 million dollars. Tell me the last time death row was invaded by a nut and killed a bunch of people. Right now the safest place in America is death row! That needs to change,

Why Pro and Anti-Gun Advocates Are Not Speaking The Same Language
OHCHUTE replied to Dean358's topic in Speakers Corner
I disagree. Preventative measures would also work on mass shootings in locations other than schools. Hence, spending the same effort and finances on preventative measures will have a much broader reach then just defending schools. And for the millionth time, I will clarify that preventative measures does not mean banning guns. There is much more involved than just guns. And that is why nothing you propose will make any difference. Preventative measures don't work. Defensive measures are needed. So instead of locking the door you stand there with a gun to defend the door. Not sure I understanding the difference between prevention and defense. Could a rubber do both, prevent unwanted pregnacy and defend against disease? -

Has this every happened that you know of? I've hit one of these on a motorcycle and it could have been worse. Just wondering about bird strikes. I've not seen too many birds around 4000 AGL but who knows what might be lurking. -
