OK on Mr. Kelly. Yes any control on guns is gun control. I think most would agree guns need to stay out of the hands of mentally unstable people. i.e. please see U.S. Department of Justice ATF form 4473 FireArms Transaction Record question 11a.through k. which does basically nothing as it's self reporting and a mentally unstable person isn't going to say their mentally unstable when buying a firearm. If they do they've also committed a felony. The reason ATF needs to work with mental health information. Sorry I didn't draw the distinction between banning guns and limiting access to unstable mentally ill as I attempted to show liberal reporting bias. I think what has the nation upset is all the talk about banning guns. Including Bloomberg. It's also causing stock pilling which is not helping industry pricing.

They already have bolt action on AR uppers. THIS IS WHAT THE PUBLIC DOESN't KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT---COMPETITIVE SHOOTING. There is also much competition with AR's / service rifle competition. High power uses the AR upper with bolt. They can be single shot or 5 round mag. But hand bolt operated, not gas driven. FFL deals with the stamped receiver for all guns. If the gun can be taken apart, as in a AR it's only the lower stamped receiver that is what is transfered. You can mail a barrel, bolt, upper receiver to anyone, but the lower serialized must go through FFL if shipping out of state. The concern is semi-auto, hi cap mags. (They sell 5 round mags for AR's, as some states you can't have more than 5 rounds in any mag for hunting, and yes AR's are used for small game and varments.?

Just heard Mr. Giffords on the radio. Said both he and his wife are gun owners and they believe in the 2nd Amend. He also said gov't needs a way to KEEP GUNS OUT OF THE HANDS OF THOSE WHO SHOULDN'T HAVE THEM, referencing the mentally ill. Nothing about restrictions to guns. But here: the liberal WSJ says Giffords advocate gun control which is much different from what I heard Mr. Giffords talk about. Can't wait to hear what Mrs. Giffords talks about during her up and coming TV interview. http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424127887323706704578228131078926420.html

We actually need immigrant/ shoppers. Without shoppers we're pretty much dead in the water. Overall, latino are good people and family orientated. I just wished they'd speak English when in Home Depot. I blaim the Japaneese for the latino language proplem as they were the ones printing spanish on products for American consumption causing immigrant not to learn English. Yes, it's been a while since we saw horrible things happen to American Indians. We can blaim the revolver on that one. Just to powerful against the bow. Sorry for archery failings. Yes for 40 years in Cheeroke country you could shoot and kill an Indian no questions asked. We can thank the Dutch for saving the Indian kids after their parents were slaughtered/ murdered. I hope Jackson is still rotting for that.

While there is implied consent that comes with the purchase of the ticket, I would like it very much if the recently introduced TX HB 80 was passed (http://www.capitol.state.tx.us/BillLookup/Text.aspx?LegSess=83R&Bill=HB80) which basically requires that the TSA establish probable cause before a physical search. It would result in a change in TSA tactics. Changing tactics are good for security. It would likely result in a slight rise in the cost of air travel (perhaps only in TX) which I'm ok with. That would be nice as going through just a couple weeks ago I was selected for random chemical swab test. The machine was broke so they took me to next booth where the chem maching was working, all while my wallet was hanging out in plain view in a plastic bucket back over there. Never thinking I'd be leaving baggage screening conveyer belt where all my stuff was in the plastic bins.

Jones and Morgan are entainers. The marine in the vid is well spoken. He did say something profound: "laws that are unconstitutional are not laws." It would seem that any law enacted and enforced is a law, until Supreme Court decides otherwise, if they choose to hear the case. If they introduce manditory sentencing for possession of illegal firearms, then good luck breaking the law in an attempt to learn if any law you broke was unconstitutional. What gets me is that my constitutional rights are violated every time I travel on an airliner due to illegal search where the searcher has no probable cause. Try not obeying being searched, and you won't be getting to the gate.

More info: this is what we ARE CURRENTLY SPENDING for immagration enforcement problems. The budget exceeds FBI, DEA, Secret Circus, US Marshalls Service, BATF COMBINED. In 1990 there were only 30,000 deportations while last year there were 400,000, Problem is: there's just more coming in that need dealt with. Solution: Instead of deporting back to Mexico, deport them to Artic. Bears are hungry. Once word got out, they'd stay in Mexico. They want to migrate North, then we'll provide all the assistance to get them as far North as possible. Or, make them citizens via a ligitment process, as we do need more Walmart shoppers to fuel our economic growth.

Probably because he - wait for it..... owned a sword. He was reported Asian. Not that Asians own swords. Gosh I wonder what it must have been like to take his hand before delivering the final blow.

This was a deal to get major cliff bill passed. Don't worry 60 billion relief will turn into 100 billion. Can't let Sprinstein go without his beach house.

true, vegetarians can randomly flip on you without warning The guy that shot himself in the room down the hall from my room was not getting enough protein. He was drinking a lot of beer and eating snack food. lucky I was away at the time. Many years ago. If you had an opportunity to travel in a communist country as I have you will know the effects of being protein starved. Your brain goes to mush. Beer and potatoes doesn't do much for your brain.

Hey Don, why don't you do some research. Here, call Baltimore City Police and learn the disposition of this case. Perhaps you'll have some answers. Fact of the matter is COPS WRITE TICKETS and let the courts sort out the issues. If you want to open yourself to possible criminal prosecution then use a gun and had this student pulled a pistol, IN MARYLAND, where this case occured, he would have got a ticket. NO DOUBT ABOUT IT. The reason he used a sword. You know Hopkins students have heads on their shoulders! LOve this case. http://www.cnn.com/2009/CRIME/09/15/samurai.sword.killing/

So, the only example you could find was of a guy who killed a police officer as the officer was serving a warrant to search the house for drugs. You have repeatedly made the assertion that homeowners are not allowed to defend themselves in their own home, yet you are so far completely unable to substantiate that claim. That's because the claim is bogus, part of the mythology that is being spun around the gun control debate. It may bother you and others of your ilk, but you can't just shoot anyone who happens to be on your property and expect to not have to answer any questions. You can't shoot the guy delivering the mail, or the fedex guy leaving a package, or the person who is reading your electric meter, and not have consequences. The person has to pose some kind of a threat to you. And yes, everybody in America, including criminals, have rights. How would you do it otherwise? Everyone is entitled to a fair trial, except criminals? So as soon as you are charged with a crime you lose your right to a trial? The right applies only to those who don't need it? Here is an interesting case. Do you think this should be acceptable behavior? Don Don, so you did find an example. Lets get something clear. I'm all for guns. And I believe in the Second Amendment. If the behavior of this home owner is what you'd like to discuss then: Yes he's in his right to defend his property. But murdering the youth after he'd already killed one and wounded another does border on murder, the reason he was probably charged. If the evidence shows his life was not in danger, he could gain a judgment. I gather the second kill will be the determining factor. What I want to know is why she went down the steps after hearing shots. (The teens could have been stoned, which will also complicate the case for the defendant.) The defendant looks like he's killed before.... seemed to enjoy the experience and perhaps even set them up. What was he doing in the basement with a rifle in wait?

The last time I tasted it (or anything else containing alcohol), Reagan was in office, so my recollection is far from current. However, I do not think I was ever convinced that the appeal of alcoholic beverages was the taste. Admittedly, Courvoisier VSOP is preferable to Akvavit - but that is not saying much. Similarly, Pilsner Urquell has it all over Milwaukee's Best, and Château Neuf de Pape has the edge over MD 20/20, but none of it would have much to recommend it absent the ethanol. Any kind of EtOH beverage can result in a hangover, but wine does have the capacity for a full-blown death-warmed-over state with great hang time. Perhaps moderation would serve to avoid that state - I would not know. I totally agree with you. Most all if it tastes like crap, unless of course if it is masked with fruity stuff like your island drinks while vacationing. Welch's grape juice tastes better than any wine in opinion. Moderation? I don't have a clue what they are putting in wine but before I finish the second glass I'm already working a head ache. Not for me. I think you have the right idea. Besides the stuff is so expensive now I don't see how anyone can afford much drinking.

The real problem is the mental health industry that includes the Pharm industry. The farm industry wants everyone on a daily pill for a variety of problems (We'll soon have a pill for cell phone addiction! All are soldiers are sick, PTSD etc.) The shrinks wouldn't have any customers if they didn't perscribe pills. Now, pills are one of main reasons kids are breaking into houses as granny has the medicine cabinet filled with all kinds of goodies. I vote pills are the problem as many of these nutjobs might not do what they intend to do if they were not on drugs. Also, not eating enough protein could be a contributing factor. A diet of carbohydrates only, which many kids are one now with all the sugar and snack foods they're not even thinking straight. You do know high carbo diet is used for brainwashing. Don't just blame pills. Diet is also a factor.

Look, as Iraq/ Afgan winds down there's got to be some money spent on drones, protection etc. Military Industrial complex. Nothing new here. With that amount of money we could pay Mexicans not to come here, much like we pay farmers not to grow wheat and we'd still be way ahead. It's about money, not about controlling any border. The border is an illusion, and a means for some to make a pile of cash.

interesting - if you don't have any other info than he's illegally in the house - you only know a couple things: 1 - they are in your house without your permission 2 - they've proven they will break the law to your detriment why would choose to assume your life (your daughter's life?) is not threatened vs is threatened? hate to make the wrong call when his presence is 100% his fault and clearly against the law in the first place. He's demonstrated his character by being there. If I can safely get my family out without a direct conflict, I'd prefer that. But my assumption is always that an intruder means to do the worst. He's not there to give us christmas presents I'm not debating what you or anyone else might do should they see someone in the house threatning or not. Just talking about various laws. When there are teenagers living on the property, you don't have a clue who might show up or not. That you might be surprised you see someone you might not know. We have 30 foot straight shot and in some places 40 from which a shot could be fired inside the house. Chances of being struck by lighting, run over by cell phone user, dying in a skydiving accident are greater than ever having to use a gun here. This may differ where you are sleeping.

Most know nutjobs need controlled. The debate is trending to better communication with gun sales, and people who buy them, not necessarily stopping gun sales. Gun show loop holes, straw purchases, no sales to mental cases etc, are mostly what is being talked about. There are just too many AR15 that you're not going to collect them or bar transfers. They'll reduce mags and tighten rules in gaining ARs but won't restrict sales. You could buy a AR during the ban. Right now you can buy a machine gun or silencer if you want etc. Legal to buy if you follow they rules. (Subject to state law.)

http://www.totalcriminaldefense.com/news/articles/unusual/no-drug-bust/ Also, in Texas looks like time of day is a factor in defending property. I'm sure if you conducted research you will find many instances of some property owner being charged that they must defend against. 1. Could you just walk out without a fight? 2. Did you use more force than what was necessary? 3. Was the person a threat on your life? Just because they are in your house doesn't mean your life is threatned. 4. So the bullet hole was in his back and was shot from 30 feet.... please explain how he was a threat etc. People think they can just go out and buy a gun and use it on anyone they think is in their house without any consideration to laws. But fact of the matter is and we all know this: criminals have rights too! Plus they get a free lawyer and you'll have to pay for one once you've discharged your firearm especailly if your life was not in any immediate danger. Before defending property or your life please check you local laws. (Fleeing is an appropriate defense. We might try that in Afgan or Iraq and we'd most defenitly save lives doing it. ) We fled Vietnam and it seem to work there. Run

You have misunderstood the contents of your link. Defendant means: home owner charged with crime.

I suppose you'd have to sit in court and reveiw dockets and listen to cases to learn if any perp sued the defender as I've not heard any cases. But there could be cases. Facts are, perps have the right under existing law if excessive force is used against them. Which makes defending yourself problematic. Hope this helps.

When we use to drink a lot of wine we always had fun talking the wine language. Like, tounge, nose, bark etc.... and ascerting adjectives in an attempt to describe the experience. I suppose I just never developed a taste for wine. After the second class, they all taste the same sort of thing. But the best wines still taste like water IMHO. Regretably I can't see the expense in drinking more expensive wines. I"m not the 2 pea and one tablespoon of meat type of guy either that I need appreciate the experience of finely brosted vegatable.

Really. IT've been drinking beer, wine and distilled spirits for decades. Now I appreciate a fine glass of wine and for the mlost part the best wine I've had taste mosly like water. Now what I hate most about wine is the hangover. GOD the head ache. Vodca does not cause any after effects. So why drink wine?
