AIG Is Thinking About Suing the Government for Bailing It Out
OHCHUTE replied to ryoder's topic in Speakers Corner
Funny, so many English Teachers here that when they don't have an argument they resort to attacking your typing. Lets do the English first: na·ive [nah-eev] Show IPA adjective 1. having or showing unaffected simplicity of nature or absence of artificiality; unsophisticated; ingenuous. 2. having or showing a lack of experience, judgment, or information; credulous: She's so naive she believes everything she reads. He has a very naive attitude toward politics. 3. having or marked by a simple, unaffectedly direct style reflecting little or no formal training or technique: valuable naive 19th-century American portrait paintings. 4. not having previously been the subject of a scientific experiment, as an animal. So now that we know you have banking experience please tell us exactly how the sales guys at Standand and Poor rated the junk paper to AAA status so that the paper would be attractive to sell, so much so, they were having a hard time fueling the front end paper scam even by having people who didn't have a dime, apply for mortgage loans. I take it you never got your coffee shop the reason you're a tad huffy. And not a member of the club! I know business and there's a double standard. Sorry for any grammer or misspellings--not the point of what I'm discussing. -
We are not killing off ourselves fast enough, just too many people and so few jobs and opportunity? Too much NFL watching and talk about football players knees? Corporate attention on short term profits not long term profitability which stifles innovation? OBAMA as he really should not have been relected as he didn't do what he was elected to do: stop wars and reduce all the debt Bush piled up. But America enjoys watching a freak show. Just ask Barnum Bailey Circus.

AIG Is Thinking About Suing the Government for Bailing It Out
OHCHUTE replied to ryoder's topic in Speakers Corner
So you are a wall street banker? It's been soooooo reported when the financial crisis hit, all the wallstreeters leaving wall st with their huge commission paychecks, paid for by you and me via taxes, and opening up shops in Brazil to have a good time. Sorry but you just can't apply for the type of cozey jobs these guys had on wall street that were TOTALLY EXEMPT from criminal prosecution. LIKE THEY DIDN"T KNOW THEY WERE PARTICIPATING IN A BANK RUN PONSI SCHEME via all the worlds banks where sales guys were eager for commissions for selling worthless paper. You are not that neive are you? Now there's a new crop dealing in college debt securities which will blow up once people stop paying their college loans. These guys have licenses to steal and Goldman and Gore took the gov't to the cleaners with their investments in alturnative energy that failed, yet they profited. Show me where to sign up and its not on a BOA employment web site. Have the gov't coffers in your pocket and you get immediate membership status to the riches bunch of guys on the planet. They were all over there in Caymans last month having a party for year end celebration and there was hardly enough room to park all the private jets. -
Welfare mom with 15 kids wants someone to pay for them
OHCHUTE replied to regulator's topic in Speakers Corner
State of Florida is paying. Kids are in foster home. Plus look on the bright side. Without all those kids, mostly all the white people standing around the court room including the state attorney, social workers, police, judge etc WOULD'NT HAVE A JOB! Next up: cops, state lawyers, social workers, hospitals, prison guards all get more work when the kids grow up with all the trouble they'll get into. WHOOPEE. More work to do. -
"Can't let a good crisis go to waste" Yea, look what they did with 911. Trillions in waste. And we're still hiking the hills of the Afgan seeking holes to "SMOKE'EM OUT." In fact, 911 was the tipping point that will keep us in perpetual war for ever as the world will never be without someone hating us or wanting to kill us. Terrorism=DOD cash cow. Texters in cars kill more people.

READ, WEEP, AND PRINT AND KEEP! Charley Reese's Final column! A very interesting column.. COMPLETELY NEUTRAL Be sure to Read the Poem at the end. Charley Reese's final column for the Orlando Sentinel... He has been a journalist for 49 years. He is retiring and this is HIS LAST COLUMN. Be sure to read the Tax List at the end. This is about as clear and easy to understand as it can be. The article below is completely neutral, neither anti-republican or democrat. Charlie Reese, a retired reporter for the Orlando Sentinel, has hit the nail directly on the head, defining clearly who it is that in the final analysis must assume responsibility for the judgments made that impact each one of us every day. It's a short but good read. Worth the time. Worth remembering! 545 vs. 300,000,000 People -By Charlie Reese Politicians are the only people in the world who create problems and then campaign against them. Have you ever wondered, if both the Democrats and the Republicans are against deficits, WHY do we have deficits? Have you ever wondered, if all the politicians are against inflation and high taxes, WHY do we have inflation and high taxes? You and I don't propose a federal budget. The President does. You and I don't have the Constitutional authority to vote on appropriations. The House of Representatives does. You and I don't write the tax code, Congress does. You and I don't set fiscal policy, Congress does. You and I don't control monetary policy, the Federal Reserve Bank does. One hundred senators, 435 congressmen, one President, and nine Supreme Court justices equates to 545 human beings out of the 300 million are directly, legally, morally, and individually responsible for the domestic problems that plague this country. I excluded the members of the Federal Reserve Board because that problem was created by the Congress. In 1913, Congress delegated its Constitutional duty to provide a sound currency to a federally chartered, but private, central bank. I excluded all the special interests and lobbyists for a sound reason. They have no legal authority. They have no ability to coerce a senator, a congressman, or a President to do one cotton-picking thing. I don't care if they offer a politician $1 million dollars in cash. The politician has the power to accept or reject it. No matter what the lobbyist promises, it is the legislator's responsibility to determine how he votes. Those 545 human beings spend much of their energy convincing you that what they did is not their fault. They cooperate in this common con regardless of party. What separates a politician from a normal human being is an excessive amount of gall. No normal human being would have the gall of a Speaker, who stood up and criticized the President for creating deficits. The President can only propose a budget. He cannot force the Congress to accept it. The Constitution, which is the supreme law of the land, gives sole responsibility to the House of Representatives for originating and approving appropriations and taxes. Who is the speaker of the House? John Boehner. He is the leader of the majority party. He and fellow House members, not the President, can approve any budget they want. If the President vetoes it, they can pass it over his veto if they agree to. It seems inconceivable to me that a nation of 300 million cannot replace 545 people who stand convicted -- by present facts -- of incompetence and irresponsibility. I can't think of a single domestic problem that is not traceable directly to those 545 people. When you fully grasp the plain truth that 545 people exercise the power of the federal government, then it must follow that what exists is what they want to exist. If the tax code is unfair, it's because they want it unfair. If the budget is in the red, it's because they want it in the red. If the Army & Marines are in Iraq and Afghanistan it's because they want them in Iraq and Afghanistan ... If they do not receive social security but are on an elite retirement plan not available to the people, it's because they want it that way. There are no insoluble government problems. Do not let these 545 people shift the blame to bureaucrats, whom they hire and whose jobs they can abolish; to lobbyists, whose gifts and advice they can reject; to regulators, to whom they give the power to regulate and from whom they can take this power. Above all, do not let them con you into the belief that there exists disembodied mystical forces like "the economy," "inflation," or "politics" that prevent them from doing what they take an oath to do. Those 545 people, and they alone, are responsible. They, and they alone, have the power. They, and they alone, should be held accountable by the people who are their bosses. Provided the voters have the gumption to manage their own employees... We should vote all of them out of office and clean up their mess! Charlie Reese is a former columnist of the Orlando Sentinel Newspaper. What you do with this article now that you have read it... is up to you. This might be funny if it weren't so true. Be sure to read all the way to the end: Tax his land, Tax his bed, Tax the table, At which he's fed. Tax his tractor, Tax his mule, Teach him taxes Are the rule. Tax his work, Tax his pay, He works for peanuts anyway! Tax his cow, Tax his goat, Tax his pants, Tax his coat. Tax his ties, Tax his shirt, Tax his work, Tax his dirt. Tax his tobacco, Tax his drink, Tax him if he Tries to think. Tax his cigars, Tax his beers, If he cries Tax his tears. Tax his car, Tax his gas, Find other ways To tax his ass. Tax all he has Then let him know That you won't be done Till he has no dough. When he screams and hollers; Then tax him some more, Tax him till He's good and sore. Then tax his coffin, Tax his grave, Tax the sod in Which he's laid... Put these words Upon his tomb, 'Taxes drove me to my doom...' When he's gone, Do not relax, Its time to apply The inheritance tax. Accounts Receivable Tax Building Permit Tax CDL license Tax Cigarette Tax Corporate Income Tax Dog License Tax Excise Taxes Federal Income Tax Federal Unemployment Tax (FUTA) Fishing License Tax Food License Tax Fuel Permit Tax Gasoline Tax (currently 44.75 cents per gallon) Gross Receipts Tax Hunting License Tax Inheritance Tax Inventory Tax IRS Interest Charges IRS Penalties (tax on top of tax) Liquor Tax Luxury Taxes Marriage License Tax Medicare Tax Personal Property Tax Property Tax Real Estate Tax Service Charge Tax Social Security Tax Road Usage Tax Recreational Vehicle Tax Sales Tax School Tax State Income Tax State Unemployment Tax (SUTA) Telephone Federal Excise Tax Telephone Federal Universal Service Fee Tax Telephone Federal, State and Local Surcharge Taxes Telephone Minimum Usage Surcharge Tax Telephone Recurring and Nonrecurring Charges Tax Telephone State and Local Tax Telephone Usage Charge Tax Utility Taxes Vehicle License Registration Tax Vehicle Sales Tax Watercraft Registration Tax Well Permit Tax Workers Compensation Tax STILL THINK THIS IS FUNNY? Not one of these taxes existed 100 years ago, & our nation was the most prosperous in the world. We had absolutely no national debt, had the largest middle class in the world, and Mom stayed home to raise the kids. What in the heck happened? Can you spell 'politicians?' I hope this goes around THE USA at least 545 times!!! YOU can help it get there!!! GO AHEAD. . . BE AN AMERICAN!!!

AIG Is Thinking About Suing the Government for Bailing It Out
OHCHUTE replied to ryoder's topic in Speakers Corner
Lawsuits are filed all day everyday. the topic is AIG considering joining a lawsuit brought by another party. They have decided to not join. Bankers are the reason for what? the reason your company could make payroll? the reason you are able to drive over bridges and through tunnels, fly into airports in airplanes, have clean water and not have sewer water in your street, have a stable food supply, medicine.... i assume that is what you meant. Bankers are evil and all those things brought to you from them should be outlawed. I speak about the Wall Street bankers and those who participated in what basically amounted to stealing money from our Treasury. Rating Junk to AAA by S&P employees who were in cahoots with insureres to sell bogus paper later called toxic debt which BTW has been conveniently swept under the carpet all while receiving BONUS money from your tax dollars. Yes I'm jealeous I don't have a coffee shop in Brazil due to receiving 4million dollar commission check for what amounted to FRAUD. But FRAUD is legal in Wall Street circles hidden by investments YOU DON"T UNDERSTAND. Please tell me where I can sign up to be one of your BANKERS and I'll gladly join the country club of the elite who are exempt from laws as they have their own laws and rules to protect what they do. Go do a ponzi like they did and see where it gets you. -
People seem to forget Desert Storm. The first Iraqi war. We had control of Iraqi since then which made it so unreal Bush2 wanted another ground war when we already had Saddam contained. Some feel since Bush1 didn't get Saddam Bush2 completed the task by getting Saddam. You will remember Iraq did not have WMD's yet WMD's excuse was used to invade Iraq by President Cheney, I mean President Bush. Events seem to fade as time goes on. Storman Norman. Greatest General of the Time who barely got mentioned upon his death last week. http://www.cnn.com/2012/12/27/us/schwarzkopf-obit/index.html

Right, which is exactly why we need to limit their ability to do so. Currently they have all too easy access to the tools to do that. Let's make it just a bit more difficult than buying a 32 ounce soda. The mentally ill are too calculating. How will you screen them? Lanza shot his mom in the face 4 times. I guess she didn't see that coming and she lived in the same house with the perp that shot her. We've been in Iraq for over 25 uears and idiots are still blowing themselves up killing people. We need face reality: SOCIETY IS A LANDMINE FIELD. As long as there are weapons and people there will be violence. JEESH Cain killed Able, the worlds first family and they couldn't even keep from killing each other. Thats why you need a gun to defend yourself. People are nuts.

Why not provide the FULL story first. That way you'd get the best responses. Now that you've provided additional info, it look like your quandry is no longer a quandry.

Obama pondering using executive decision on gun control
OHCHUTE replied to regulator's topic in Speakers Corner
Hitler took the guns then collected the people... for the gas chamber. Common Sense= fight like hell to keep your arms or you might suffer like those under Stalin, Hitler, Pol Pot the list goes on. And tell me they won't kill citizens who protest. 4 DEAD IN OHIO. They were carrying FLOWERS. -
Cops can't even get ARs from Cop-only supply houses. However, I did recently realize that I'm sitting on a goldmine of 30rd Pmags. Maybe I should sell some at the going rate ($100 each) and buy that new lens I've been wanting. It's almost like the stock market. Buy low sell high. The time to buy was a while back, before Obama became President. The time to buy again will be after legislation is passed and the market will be flooded with cheap AR's and parts. Main concern is ammo and that will probably never go down with price of lead etc. .22 shooting anyone?

Who wants the hi caps? They don't make 10's. Everyone wants the 20's
-
The person will end up killing someone. Reason: there is no one to stop him. Citizens are unarmed and police can't do a thing including following him around for a week or 2 to chart the persons actions. As they are too busy eating donuts and handing out tickets for traffic violations. ' A matter of priorities, filling the state coffers via ticket writing vs doing some good police work that might prevent crime and save lives. My advice: watch your back.
-
They are unavailable nationwide. From Midway to Brownells. There's none in stock (at least 20 rounders are not available.) Complete AR are running thin and stripped receivers are 12 months back ordered. Obama is the worlds greatest gun sales guy on the planet. Through his action or inaction has promoted the largest sale of semi-automatic weapons this Nation has ever seen. (Also, figure this: Many manufacturers of AR receivers supply DOD. I'm not sure the workings of the feds/ national security concerns etc., and the supply of receivers, but it might come to pass manufacturers just won't have any receivers for the public due to military demands. A back door ban posed as a backorder-forever due to huge demand etc

I wonder if the occupants even realized what was happening that they might have worked to get out. Not sure of internal layout of the ball for quick exit. Maybe Wendy knows. Besides wouldn't that ride make you sick that you'd not even want to try it? Not near cliff of course.

Obama pondering using executive decision on gun control
OHCHUTE replied to regulator's topic in Speakers Corner
Are these the techniques being used now. Float a story to gain peoples reaction, before you decide to do what it is you want to do. PONDERING. Who knows what he's pondering about? Lance Armstrong's public relation team is pulling the same trick: PONDERING about fessing up..... Perhaps all gun owners might decend on DC before this conversation get too far along! When is a good date to protest! -
AIG Is Thinking About Suing the Government for Bailing It Out
OHCHUTE replied to ryoder's topic in Speakers Corner
Corporate lawyers are more crafty than government lawyers so it's only natural lawsuits would be filed. First the suit, then the settlement, then the commission checks. Lawyers have to eat too! Bankers are the reason. -
On the basis of an individual round, you'd be correct. On the basis of kinetic energy that can be expended per reload cycle (AR-15 with 100 round drum vs M1 and 8 round "en bloc" clip) you'd be wrong -- woefully wrong. I don't think regulation ought to be determined solely by the energy of a single round, but instead how much energy can be continuously delivered over a larger period of time. For instance, a minute, taking into account reloading by an expert user. DC snipers killed over 10 people with AR over several weeks so how would your ballistics, timing figure into your equasion?

Obama pondering using executive decision on gun control
OHCHUTE replied to regulator's topic in Speakers Corner
He said he wasn't going to have an inaugural event on the mall and now he's going to have one. He's not done many things he said he was going to do including ending illegal wars, and ending corporate backed campaigns. I have no respect. -
Why Not Renew the “Assault Weapons” Ban? Well, I’ll Tell You…
OHCHUTE replied to rushmc's topic in Speakers Corner
Since I've nearly been killed twice this week alone, they need start thinking about BLOCKING cell phone VHF frequencies while people are in their cars as these idiots who are texting as they are driving right towards me head on, need to stop. Biden rides the train. While on the train he's thinking about banning guns? So he's not so threatned like the rest of us who are on the roads every day. -
1. Note the carefully groomed slopes of this Russian Ski Resort 2. Definitely A+ for the guy chasing the ball, especially in snow. Unbelievable effort to save the people. 3. Next time choose skiis. More control. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UyZW8E6HK2k

Wanna bet? I have a few 500 million Mark postage stamps. The Deutsche Mark was every bit as well backed as is the US Dollar. I had a lot of Eastern Bloc money. 1700 Zloty to the dollar. Beer was less than a penny a glass and University Professors got $4 a month salary. It was almost like money was free. Zloty is more valuable now: 30 cents to the dollar.
