Interesting experiment. I jump with only one good eye. The other is only good enough for peripheral vision. My depth perception has been disabled my entire life because of this. I always wondered if it was the main problem for me judging how far up from the ground I was when it came to flaring. Sounds to me like your experience alleviated your apparant lack of depth perception during the dive. Next time try and borrow a friends pair of glasses to blurr your vision under canopy. I'd like to know how much your affected if, say, a contact lens popped out after a hard opening. Gerb I stir feelings in others they themselves don't understand. KA'CHOW !

4 jumps and I haven't lost one yet, although a friend of mine says she's lost a couple durin her 5 & 10 second delays. It can happen on hard openings. Listen to these guys for advice, they know what they are talking about. Gerb I stir feelings in others they themselves don't understand. KA'CHOW !

You can do one of three things. a) Say Fuck 'em and jump anyway. b) Say screw 'em and jump anyway c) Say "Bollocks to you lot, I'm jumping anyway" and jump anyway. In either case you just need to ignore those assholes who would use such nicknames and hang out with the friendly guys and girls which make up the majority of any DZ. There are two adverts on UK TV at the moment featuring skydiving. The first ad is on Sky Sports for Speedway / Motocross. It shows a blonde lady skydiver dressed head to toe in black with a helmet. The ad is designed to show the illusion of the skydive being performed by presenter and model Sophie Blake, but I just wondered if anyone knew who actually did the dive itself. The second add is for the Nissan X-Trail (I think). It shows a guy doing his sky-surf acrobatic moves in the air under the label EX-TREME. Cheers. OK then...... (Fantastic art by the way) It's an interpretation of a lesbian love scene. The girl in white with the brown pony tail is skydiving without a rig, so you could call it a muffed-dive. Did you say Invaders harness the use of Cruise Missiles ? They are not as reliable as you think. If they miss the target they just keep on their current path until they run out of fuel and drop out of the sky. The current model doesn't even have a self destruct on it. The war is a terrible thing isn't it. I know what you mean. When they said a guy died during the making of the film shocked the hell out of me. They didn't mention specifically what stunt he was doing but I would assume it would have something to do with Ahab on the Prague River. An AFF instructor demonstrates on a table how the main canopy is ejected from the pack. Instructor : "So you pull this handle and.........." (The canopy pops out) Student : Wow. Cool . The Instructor starts to spread the canopy out to continue the demonstration. Student : "You won't be able to use that canopy anymore now will you ?"
