I'll tell a little story. Scene: At a drop zone where Jim Slaton was doing student/tandem video jumps, while he was still becoming famous. The student videos were editted immediately after their jump, and then played on the room's TV for the students and everyone else to see. The credits would roll at the end, and it would include many items, such as: Video by Jim Slaton, Music selection by Jim Slaton, Editting by Jim Slaton, Camera equipment by Jim Slaton, and so on. It got to be kind of a joke. One day someone took a pad of those yellow sticky notes, and plastered them all over the inside of the DZ building. They said things like; Light switch by Jim Slaton, Support column by Jim Slaton, Window glass by Jim Slaton, door knob by Jim Slaton, and so on. There were about 50 of 'em scattered around. Jim came in from a jump and one of those yellow notes caught his eye. He looked around the room and saw all the other yellow notes, and realized what was going on. He calmy walked around and collected all of the notes, without comment, and disappeared into the video room. Everyone else got a good laugh out of it.

That was a second jump they did at the end of the show. The circumstances I mentioned occured on a jump at the very beginning of the show. But yeah, even that second one, he opened inside a cloud...

It would be great for head-down speed diving. At speeds of up to 250 mph, tiny little body changes have a huge impact. It would be nice to be able to fine-tune your position in-flight in real time, in order to see what effect it has on speed.

That means manufacturers haven't made fully automatic weapons since 1968. The only people who can posses them are police and military. So with these exceptions, if you find one manufactured after 1968 in the hands of a citizen, it probably means that person does not legally own that weapon. Making ownership of fully automatic weapons mostly illegal. Now go ahead and show us how brilliant you are. No need to get insulting. One simple question for you: Is it legal for private citizens to own full-auto firearms? Please answer "yes" or "no".

From the article you cited. Perhaps you need some help with reading comprehension. Either that or try reading the entire article before you post it to make sure it supports your position. No comprehension problem with me. So in fact, it IS legal to own auto weapons. Just because ones made after a certain date are illegal, doesn't mean that it's illegal for citizens to own them in general, as you imply. As long as you find one with the appropriate manufacture date, there's nothing stopping you from owning it, as long as you pass the background check. You're posts about this have been misleading, to say the least.

I think he's wrong. The only restriction is that you can't endanger people or property on the ground. So as long as you make the pumpkin jump over open ground, you should be okay. Keep jumping, and with more experience, you'll learn to trust your gear, and that will decrease the fear. After a while, it becomes routine, like jumping off a diving board into the swimming pool, and you don't think much about the risk any more. But you always have to be ready to respond appropriately to a malfunction.

So where do you get the idea that full-auto weapons are mostly illegal? That's not what that link says. What the heck do you mean by "mostly". Your stance on the legality of owning automatic weapons seems to be incorrect.

Which ones and why? Explain DD sorry I mean CarpeDiem3 I'm anti guns-that-shoot-real-fast-with-high-magazine-capacity. Because that seems to be what gets used in mass murders, and I see no other practical purpose for them. What does "DD" mean and why did you cross it out?
