There was a bit on the Today Show, on the Southern Baptist Convention asshats. These sanctimonious assholes think they're the only reason King Goerge is back at 1600 Pennsylvania for another 4. They openly stated that since they elected him, they expect a laundry list of things to happen: -Stack the federal judiciary with Born-Agains. -Replace at least 3 Supreme Court Justices with Anti-Choice types -Expand sending my Tax dollars to religious charities, so they can dangle vital charity work in fron of the poor, the price being coerced conversion... -The further erosion of personal liberties, because, GOD FORBID, someone might be doing something that doesn't fit into their narrow-minded worldview, which makes Leviticus seem like the guidebook for a Hippie commune... Where's my AR-15? These people need "EXPRESS" stamped on their tickets to see the almighty... -

True-the Taliban were not reviled for their faith, but the manifestation of it, and their quest to force it on the civil affairs/everyday life of others... Which is EXACTLY what the Christian right is doing by codifying their religious beliefs into civil law. They're Equal. The only difference is what name they use to address God.

How do you know that is a fact? Not all personal injury/malpractice lawyers are bad, and not all physicians are competent to practice, no matter their academic qualifications... Do your own thinking, don't let Rush "Can ya spare an Oxycontin" Limbaugh think for you... I'm really glad you are not a physician. Someone with that mindset I wouldn't trust to be a Veterinarian...

Context could not remotely mitigate the pure eliteism that these individuals spew from their face sewers. Look at it this way-You're LDS-I'm not. Why do the LDS politicians make it such an ass pain for me to buy a goddamn beer when I'm TDY to Hill AFB/SLC? Your religious regs should not be codified into law that I have to follow. You would be hit with all manner of resistance by Born-Again evangelicals if you pushed Mormon values as laws, just as a Catholic would be met with the same resistance...Whose brand of Jesus-ism should end up the law of the land????

I think that many people consider abortion and gay rights to be _real_ issues. Yeah...the uber religious Christian Taliban, who seek to impose their dogma into civil law...Forcing the courts and legislature to follow their Christian Sharia, and restricting the freedoms of others based upon their narrow-minded, inhibited, eliteist dogma. I will die defending my freedoms before allowing such a scenario to come to pass...And I'll be sure to take as many of the enemy with me when I do go...
