What is CAPS anyway? I know it stands for Canadian Association of Professional Skydivers, but other than that... They don't even have a webpage per se, as I understand. There are hydrogen powered cars. Their only significant exhaust is H2O. They make clouds. They're not in production yet though. Might be a little dangerous to drive with a tank full of pure pressurized hydrogen, but I don't know anything about how they're built, so don't ask me

Some countries in Europe have an air tax (on polluting cars). I think that we'll see the air tax everywhere soon enough at the rate this is going. Just to pay for the clean-up of the atmosphere. It'll get interesting when you have to pay for air. And I agree with narcimund. The retrieval and bottling of water is a service, supplied by people. For those people, it's a job. Don't let anyone give you that grief. And, perhaps the problem is that people get lulled into a false sense of safety with their hotrods? Even my 160 Tri will kill me if I jump it now (only 19 jumps, still a student). I agree with all of the above, but there is an additional point here that I don't see. The typical reason for death these days is "too little canopy, too much skydiver". You don't see these things on the student canopies. The person is in danger when they are slightly more experienced and begin downsizing. They don't do it carefully and find themselves in unfamiliar situations where they need to make the right decision without any prior training, and make it now. They don't, and they die. Maybe we need canopy training that goes past what happens today? I'm talking canopy training for people with over 100 jumps. Not just show what the rear/front risers do, but actually teach to fly smaller canopies. -- Toggle Whippin' Yahoo Skydiving is easy. Please see a post by me called "Almost got killed" (link below). Can't help but imagine my mother and father killed by a teenager street-racing, and everyone saying "that idiot had it coming" but me asking "what about my parents?" I'm all for the idiots killing themselves, as long as they don't take me with them.
