It's unclear what she means here. Perhaps she means that Delta think that the CYPRES contains compressed gas. In that case, enough said. Perhaps she is simply explaining what went through the security guards head when he saw your CYPRES. In that case, it seems like an apology for uninformed security. This would be covered by the letter from SSK, and is understandable, if only in the sense that people are working on correcting the situation. Perhaps it was vague on purpose... You should definitely keep it. In 50 years, when everyone have a neural net based quantum computer in their home, the ZXs will be rare antiques. And that's when computer geekery pays off I like to refer to the basement as the computer graveyard. I got a P100 in there, a couple of old monitors. Even a Pentium Pro. I'm trying to say that something is not right. I understand that you contacted the USPA and TSA, but did anyone contact Airtec directly? I doubt they're lying outright, and they are the ones who should have the letter. And the DOT (or whatever), did we contact them? When did you contact Airtec? Did we give them enough time to respond? Why don't we ask Airtec? The should be happy to provide us with a copy. I'm sure they would give a copy to the USPA if they asked, worst come to worst. And, of course, the DOT should have it. I think it's Cypres that has that letter. I remember seeing the "FAI classifies the Cypres as non-harmful" thing on the Cypres webpage, not USPA. That would make sense, because that way it would be in effect in all FAI affiliated countries, not just the US. I vote for organizing some kind of a protest. I'm not a US citizen, but I will participate in case it counts. If some moron is going to be too busy ripping up my precious rig that I spent 4 months of my life earning, so busy that he lets some Osama Bin Asshole through his security checkpoint, I will want nothing less than his head on a plate. Santas little helpers (FedEx) have brought my New Years present to me today: MY FIRST CANOPY. Whoohooo! BEEEEEEEER! It's a Triathlon 160. I've got a bit of downsizing to do, so I can't jump it for another 4-5 months, but I truly believe that I will be perfectly safe under it as long as I don't do anything too stupid, and my instructors and DZO think so too. It's got about 200 jumps on it and is in perfect condition. It has had the breakline update done. DOM is March 07, 2001. I'll try to get in-flight photos when I can, but the season is over here, so not for a while. And yes, two of the cells are pink The label has the exit weight and the canopy size mixed up.
