  1. Dude. +shakes your hand+ Know any of: Infected Mushroom, X-Dream, Synthetic, The Delta, Hux Flux, Shpongle, Shakta, Vibrasphere, Atmos, Midi Miliz, Cosmosis, Etnica, Growling Mad Scientists? This shit is the best. I've been addicted to it for smth like 3 years. What are your favourites? What do you think of PsyTechno? -- Toggle Whippin' Yahoo Skydiving is easy. 2. http://www.jardmail.co.uk/manwoman/applydatedaugh.shtml I'd keep a few of these on file if I were you -- Toggle Whippin' Yahoo Skydiving is easy. All you have to do is relax while plummetting at 120 mph from 10,000' with nothing but some nylon and webbing to save you.
  3. Hrm. I'd be licensed by now if it wasn't for the hybernation phenomenon. Plus, our DZ shuts down in a week, not because it's too cold but because people are too lazy. I had to kick everyone into a state of semi-awakeness (even the pilot) just to get a load ready last weekend. And we were too late, a snowstorm moved in. -- Toggle Whippin' Yahoo Skydiving is easy. Reserves

The reserve I have in mind is not that old, DOM 93. The general consensus is that it should be perfectly fine as long as it passes airworthiness by a rigger (just like any reserve). It has never been used. Thanks for your answers. After reading about the 85 5-cells, I definitely feel better

    Reserves

Hey all. I'm looking for a beer rig, and trying to get one as cheaply as possible without killing myself. It would help a lot of you could answer with the DOM on your reserve. Just a short poll to get an idea what is acceptable. And yes, I will talk to a rigger. I do understand this is no substitute. Yes mother
  6. Originally Dev Elec was into mean psytrance, yeah. The latest album is an excursion into d&b, some of the best you'll hear. Try to hunt it down, it'll be worth it. 7. Deviant Electronics - Suspense Hypothesis A little hard to find, but check them out if you like dubby d&b. CD is called Blunt Instruments (heh). -- Toggle Whippin' Yahoo Skydiving is easy. 9. I think I will start marking the occasion of every period my g/f has. And just to make her feel better... Billvon, I just want to say that it is a pleasure to have such reasonable intelligent discussions about a contraversial subject. -- Toggle Whippin' Yahoo Skydiving is easy. 10. In this case, yes, I agree that it is a subject worth pursuing. Perhaps a little more cautiously than the doctor in question is doing it, but definitely worth it. It may become a human. Every egg that lives out it's cycle and is secreted during "that time of the month" could become a human. Only difference is it hasn't been fertilized yet. In fact, there are circumstances possible (and occur more often than not) where the egg will be fertilized and will still die. This is ok, but harvesting a completely uncaring soup of cells for the purpose of extending the life of your loved one by 40 years is not? Hrm... Has anyone seen Monty Python's The Meaning of Life? There was this musical skit there about things that could become humans. I just hope that if I ever need a transplant and have no donor I will not be left to die in my 30s because some people think that a blastocyst is just too damn close to a baby. Rantrantrant. Anyway... -- Toggle Whippin' Yahoo Skydiving is easy. All you have to do is relax while plummetting at 120 mph from 10,000' with nothing but some nylon and webbing to save you.
  11. Why cloning? If it's to make infertile couples have children, why do it this way? Why not perfect the number of methods already available? Sounds like they're using the whole infertile couples thing as an excuse. Aren't there better, more promising ways to give infertile couples a chance? Why attempt to develop a technology that is supposed not to have any other uses, that has a very small chance of success, is highly contraversial, and very very expensive? If you want to develop the means to genetically manipulate human evolution, a) say so, and b) do it rationally. Cloning a human today will not bring us closer to that goal. We don't know which genes to twiddle yet. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for stem cells. If anyone can cure my asthma, or the diabetes of my friends' father, or my grandfathers bad heart, without actually killing anything beyond an essentially advanced stage amoeba... Conversion

Have you guys ever convinced a non-jumper to try the sport? It could be nice to find a way to introduce people to this without feeling guilty of giving them the scariest 10 minutes of their life. 20. Congrats. You are my personal hero of the week
  21. 3 weeks since my last jump:0:0 Damn weather. Sky is always clear the day before and the day after, but not on DZ day. Next weekend is my birthday, so maybe I'll get to jump?
  22. What is happening there anyway? Chechnians staged an uprising, Russia invaded to subdue it, had another Afghanistan (oooohhh don't even get me started on that stupidity, my father served there). Then they leave them to their own devices and what do they do? Instead of organizing their country? They bomb apartment buildings. So Russia invades again. And now we had the theater siege. It's one thing to fight for your freedom against an occupying army. It's another to bomb buildings and take hundreds of completely innocent people hostage. On the other hand, knowing Russia they did their share of human rights abuses.
  23. Dude, that's pure propaganda. Iraq probably does have ties to Al Qaeda - they hate each other. Not to say that it wouldn't be nice to remove Hussein from power. Like it or not though, the resources of the US are limited. Large, but limited. How many wars are they planning to fight at the same time? With a weak economy to boot? Put the money and manpower to better use.
  24. I'm not arguing that the war was not won already. Of course it was. But Japan did not stop fighting. If the Allies pulled out, it would attack another country. The war was won, but it wasn't over until Japan was defeated. I stand corrected. This makes it a very complicated moral issue and I simply don't know enough about it. Exactly my point. Enforcing legal UN resoltions - good. Whacking a fairly minor neusance by using a ton of resources better placed elsewhere to gain popularity - bad.
