The Chute and Shoot will be in it's 8th year next year and as I understand, once again it will be conducted in April at the Sherman Hill Shooting Center in Forest, MS. The range is NRA and CMP affiliated and the owner is a fellow NRA life member. It combines accuracy landings from 4k and shooting five different types of firearms, including those dreaded submachine guns. No firearms ratings are required, but all competitors must possess a USPA D license. Last year skydiving experience ranged from Bill Schmitt's 5,000 jumps, to Jim Cazer's 3,000, to Clyde Morgan's 239. funny story........years back, i took mark hewitt and his g/f nanette climbing at the gunks. we were on our way back to the car when i notice marks g/f watching some guys climbing a route. one of em has a skydiving shirt on. hes yelling up to the guy on the rope climbing "jack, u ok up there?" so marks g/f says jack who....... he says jack jeffries.....she yells, hey mark , jack jeffries is here........jack yells down, mark who.......she says mark hewitt.....he says no shit and comes down.........after years of not seeing each other skydiving, ( they were on the same 4 way team) they now run into each other climbing....... i saw jack at the ranch last month after not seeing him since then and reminded him of back then........pretty funny..... _______________________________ HK MP5SD.........silence is golden

ok, here r some pics i found first is in redrock canyon.......hiding out in the wall second is soloing in the sierras on a 10b.....dont try this at home.....look ma, no ropes (i used to be a good climber....seriously) bouldering on a 10b overhang about 15ft off the deck..... last one, my buddy got fancy with the camera and tilted it.......use gravity and the direction of my hair to see which way is vertical.......12d boulder problem, not very far to fall, so u can attempt it ad- nauseum _______________________________ HK MP5SD.........silence is golden

redrocks , awesome place to climb, i did my first 5.12 there redpoint onsight. now i prolly couldnt haul myself up a 5.9 with the help of ascenders, i havent climbed in quite a few years. only thing that sux is the one way loop road, once yer past the first turnout, yer screwed, gotta go the whole way around, and most of the climbing is there and past. ill have to look around and dig up some pics from there.....i should have quite a few. that used to be my base for climbing trips. cheap airfare and hotel to vegas, extend the return trip and get a rental car and go all around from there. northwest cali, arizona, southern cali, utah, all within 8 hours of vegas, and awesome climbing. btw, there are plenty of much higher walls than 700 ft, especially in black velvet canyon, thats way off to the left if ya look out standing by the visitors center. awesome solid 5.9 there called epinephrine. its about 1600 vertical feet of climbing in 18 pitches, and plan on sleeping on the wall for at least one night.after the last pitch, you still scramble up a ramp another 700 ft to the top. so yes, there are some high walls there. actually at night in that part of the canyon, the yag laser on one of the hotels used to hit the wall and looked pretty cool. _______________________________ HK MP5SD.........silence is golden

people have been biffing in under canopies since skydiving started........its always happened, and it always will. theres never been any regulation on what someone can fly. all we can do is talk to people and try to get them not to do something foolish. most skydivers (me included here ) DO NOT like rules and regulations. right now, it would be pretty hard to have someone nail a dealer or person in a litigious way for them doing stoopit shit under something they shouldnt have been under that they purchased by misrepresentation of their abilities. start making rules and regulations on this too, and youre opening yourself up to lawsuits. please people, lets police our own and look out for each other. christ, i live in new jersey, the communist state where its illegal to have fun. i have enough rules, regulations, and laws to deal with already. _______________________________ HK MP5SD.........silence is golden

brian will make you custom sizes......ive seen ca couple of 109s also he will even make ya a jedei if ya still want one btw, i dont think theres much of a difference between the 111 and the 105, i still dont think it will sppin as fast as my stilettos, and believe me, i wring out the canopy sometimes........i dont have to go much below my shoulders on the stiletto and its honkin. im pullin the toggles down on the sam to arm stretch and it wont turn as fast. its fast, but not THAT fast. but then again, like i said b4, i could spin my batwing 116s so fast if i did it too quick id spin myself up in twists. _______________________________ HK MP5SD.........silence is golden
