-got less than 3 hours sleep each night...... -brought my bro in law to wffc ( total wuffo cept for me takin him on a tandem 3 years ago for his bday ) and watched him do aff in 3 days ( could have in 2 but he saved his level 7 so he could have an extra day to jump ) -may as well have put bro in law in the plane and put my foot on his ass and pushed him out myself cuz if his mom finds out its gonna be my fault no matter what -got yelled at by the fun nazi for fireworks....... -saw someone i hung out with trashed at quincy all freakin night and didnt figure out it was her till almost the end of the convention (nice tit job too) -got vid on the screen almost every night....... -got yelled at by the fun nazi for burning out next to the party tent......... -vidded the lawn darts and friends FALL out 4 miles early doin a tube (second time they got out early but this time it was much closer) and knew it was early and followed em anyway -got great blackmail vid of bro in law with a tit in his mouth...... -questioned by fun nazi and all the other fun police we passed about doing runway passes on the bikes (of course we didnt .....) -watched bro in law become disturbed after passing "naked guy" standing there on the way to bathrooms in rv park at 2am......(what is with that weird dude every year. last year he had a glow necklace on his weewee in the food tent??) -found out all about hypoxia first hand.......... -got the virgin corn run -saw lots of friends from last year, other years, and other dzs i havent seen in a long time -drank almost too much (can ya do that?????) -helped injured girl that flew out of golfcart and smashed her knees on dashboard after hitting a fire hydrant....... -did not jump as much as i wanted to....grrrrrr -got someone laid.........(im such a nice guy, aint i?) -taught someone how to properly cockblock.......(see above) -didnt drop trou in public all week (could this be a first?) -finally jumped my samurai after it sitting on a shelf for the last 2 years (i have wayy to many canopies and not enuff rigs) -watched chewey (moluccan cockatoo) do his usual magic as he attracted every chick he was near......next year he gets a lil helmet cam of his own ok, gotta go get ready to drive to the dz......... _______________________________ HK MP5SD.........silence is golden

cypres units that need to go back to germany for service get THOROUGHLY tested and any parts that are not up to specs get replaced. it usually takes a while (one of my units had to go back there once and was held up an extra 5 weeks) so dont sweat it. my opinion is u should have had the rigger close up the reserve, jump the rig until the cypres is back, and when it arrives, have him just open the rig and install it (it dosent need a new packjob, just note the date the cypres was installed and close it back up) hindsight tho, since hes on vacation. maybe another rigger there will take it over for you and finish it under the circumstances, speak to the management at the dz and explain the situ to them. id be pissed. also sometimes when a cypres is going to take that long theyll give u a loaner if yer a" i will never jump a rig without a cypres nazi " _______________________________ HK MP5SD.........silence is golden

I'll see if I can dig up the info, but passenger 727s are required to have a device onboard that disables the ability to lower the airstair in flight. Cargo 727s do not have this requirement. the actual nickname of this device is the "d b cooper switch". its basically just a wind vane that is spring loaded at the opening side of the stairs. the spring holds it open sideways so that on the ground, the stairs will come down. in flight, the wind pushes it in line with the fuselage so half of it is blocking the door, so that even if the door is unlatched, it still cant drop. im sure someone can find something on the web to show what im talking about. _______________________________ HK MP5SD.........silence is golden
