i have 2 houses in seaside, since yer a skydiver, ill rent ya one cheap for yer stay unless yer stayin with sis. heard theres a new dz in long beach island......not too far from there, also ya can drive a half hour north to allaire and jump there too at skydive jersey shore......some cool people there, i vidded there a few years ago. only a 182 and a widebody 206, but u can get some jumps in. x-keys is further from seaside and pt pleasant is 10 miles north of seaside. def a bigger dz and lots of fun too, i jumped there regularly about 7 and 8 years ago when they opened _______________________________ HK MP5SD.........silence is golden

yes, unless you arent spinning and the canopy is flying straight, provided you have enough altitude to get out of the twists. as you can see in the post below yours, someone already has decided how i should have dealt with the mal, but they werent under it ( i say mal, eventhough line twists generally arent considered a mal, and ill explain why im say mal) this ended up the way you see it, because a packer decided to ( he says he thinks this is what he did) triple stow my lines. when i pitched between 3500 and 3000, i noticed for a second something was weird. when i looked up, all i had was a spinning ball of shit. when i reached to chop the streamer that was spinning up tighter, it slammed open at what my pro track says is 1861 ft. i kicked out of about 8 of them pretty quickly, except what i hadnt noticed till i saw the vid from the person following me is because my canopy was twisted up to the top, it was not flat, but kinda horseshoe shaped, hence i was dropping pretty fast. i looked at the ground, decided i wouldnt be out of the twists in time to land, and chopped at what id say was approx 1000 ft and immediately deployed my reserve. now, had these twists just spun up after opening, (now thats alot of twists to stay under if its spinning up) it would have probably taken a while. ive already had 2 mals of spinning on your back spiraling shit that just keeps getting worse and said fuk it real quick. do what ya have to and keep a cool head, its your ass when yer under it . if you want to see the streamer that led up to the pic ya saw, just go to the malfunctions section of dz.com photo submission section on the homepage. blue ones _______________________________ HK MP5SD.........silence is golden

i myself will be travelling from new jersey to mississippi for the chute n shoot, well, because im bored from this winter......... penaltys accrue in seconds.each event max's at 60 seconds. consists of, in any order, parachute accuracy, inside a 5 ft circle, 0 seconds, 5 to 10 ft, u accumulate 15 seconds, 10 to 20 ft, 30 sec, 20 to 30 ft, 45 sec, and outside 30 ft, 60 sec. 2 jumps, and closer of the 2 is your score. if you choose so, u may land on the 35 ft island in the pond for a 0 sec., but the waters up to 14 ft deep. handgun, 6 silhouettepop ups from 15 to 50 yards. smallbore rifle, .17 to .22 caliber,10 targets from 5 to 100 yards in different shooting positions(standing, sitting, kneeling, prone) hi-power rifle, anything below .50 caliber, 10 targets from 20 to 320 yards, different positions again. shotgun, sporting clays.......20 clays from 7 different stations submachinegun.......10 targets from 10 yards to 150 yards.....must be fired full auto, thats the poop, not getting into all the details of timing and penaltys. im heading out on thursday, april 24th, and returning on sunday the 27th with one other person. if anyone in the area is interested, ill take on passengers willing to split gas with us. comforts of a nice rv for the ride, but ya have to camp there or grab a room. hot showers and bathrooms on site at the event. camping is free. email if interested _______________________________ HK MP5SD.........silence is golden

depends......in what caliber? mine is a .50 action express. quite the toy, i use it if someone pisses me off at the range. the last time, i was sweeping up my casings cuz its way too expensive to not reload (around here, its between 20 and 26 bucks for a box of 20 rounds)and i rested the broom against the wall in my port. as i was collecting casings, the broom slid down the wall and fell into the guys girlfriend in the next port. not hard at all, barely bumped her. i said sorry, and she looked at me with a bitchy puss, and it totally disgusted me, nasty ass wench. not that all their casings flying over the wall and hitting me didnt set it off, this did. i waited till they were popping off some more rounds, and then scared the shit out of them with the muzzle flash and the huge explosion. ( yes, explosion, much different than all the other pop pop pops going on.) they proceeded to move about 5 ports down after that..... by the time i get to the last round, the range is quiet, and everyone is standing behind me going wtf is that. if youre limp wristed with this gun, the ejected casings will hit you square in the middle of your forehead. they eject out the top, as opposed to the side. if youre used to firing this weapon, you can shoot it with one hand, although i wouldnt suggest it for more than one clip full........try it and youll see what i mean. most people are afraid of it to begin with. anyone with small hands will not be able to get their hand around the grip. its also quite a heavy piece. i do use itm regularly, and probably put 100 rounds through it a week, aside from the other 500 thru my 45 and my 9mm.

no feedback on headhunter, but i seem to be hearing lots of bad things. i can comment on craig hanson though. loves to talk shop, hell stay on the phone hours with you to walk you through how to foam the helmet correctly, and he will ship you any parts you need or tell you where to get them, even if you didnt buy the helmet from him. btw, i do have a full face low pro hanson if you want it that i no longer use. custom paint, blow switch, cam light built in. let it go for a good price. email me if interested.

sounds like someone needs to back off a bit more on deployment. something i do that i havent seen anyone do (not that there isnt someone else somewhere) is about 5 seconds before deployment, i flip headdown in front of the tandem, and video the deployment on my head. after the snatch slows them down so that im below them i carve under them to a backfly as the canopy opens. makes for a really cool deployment sequence.

i have lots of experience with vector and strong, the drogue attachment point on the strong definitely keeps them up more, the vector more head low. i also always seem to have to keep my legs out almost as if the strong is in a slight backslide. i can try to dig up a couple pics of both to show the difference and post em here, ill probably have to cap a couple stills of some old vids. _______________________________ HK MP5SD.........silence is golden

ok, ive been out of shooting tandem vids for the last 2 years, but the 3 before that i was working steady at a small dz doing lots. i use only my freefly suit, (i do have a cam suit (thin slippery tony with big zero p wings ) and i had no problem staying with light or heavy passengers on my belly.( the 200 pound 5'6" to 5'8" guys fall the fastest, taller ones seem a little slower). my freefly suit is heavy cotton and big, but im used to flying it, i video rw with it too, and once in a while ill even do the occasional rw jump with it, and seem to always have to slow myself down. i only weigh 155#, and im 5' 10 1/2", so not a big boy, but i can honk. both t/m's at the dz were big, id say 220, and 230. 2 years ago i started at a different dz, and realized just how fast im used to going. i went out first time with a tandem, ( t/m about 175# and an average sized passenger) and immediately went low on them and that was the only time that i wish i had some wings. felt like an idiot for that one, only second to the time i exited videoing the wrong group. duhh. anyhow, thats my deal on the subject, i havent jumped with many smaller t/m's, so maybe id find the use for some wings. sub 100 pound chicks even with a big t/m will fall slow as all hell too, but i could still keep up with them.
