Who migrates? Parts of the US were penal colonies. No choice in the matter. In other areas, willing immigrants. I have the suspicion that there was some thought put into it. If you were doing well in Europe, a good business, and social position, why move? If someone suggested that you move to the woods after surviving a trip across the Atlantic... "mmmm...no thanks." So, it was a lot of discontented people. French Protestants who were getting hanged, or some such unpopular pasttime. And the Pilgrims. Religious nuts who couldn't get along with the rest of England. I see a pattern. "We'll settle on the closest coast and farm and such." Things were good for a while. So, the coast fills up and... let's move over the Smokies. Then, "the Midwest is farmable". "I have no job, and the weather in California is nice." There were problem-types who landed, and then the subsets of the subsets of that group would keep moving west. And there you have it... California. (It's just a theory at this point. Just fleshing it out)

They say that Minnesota has only 3 seasons. Winter, extreme winter, and road construction. Last weekend, I was able to wear my Tevas while jumping. Winter was a terrible 3 weeks (I hate wearing socks).

I'm a catch-and-release kind of guy anyway. Anything that moves me towards marriage is a bad idea for everyone involved. ...besides, I am absolutely sure that I am not in the dating-target audience for this young lady. Rarely, it will happen that I am just chatting with them solely for their benefit. She was very sweet about standing there and listening to the old guy.

I'm confused. Is this the real Bill or a damaged imitation? For the rest of you...the Andy of which he speaks was not me...although it could have been. Again for the rest of you................ Take your safety to heart and pass it on to the next generation. (I was talking about Andy U.) Brutha-man, we gotta keep 'em safe first. It always seems like someone is making last-years mistake again this year. It is tiring and unhappy.

If wind comes over an object before it gets to a windsock, it can give you an incorrect message. Tall palm trees are up in the clean air. As Cocheese mentioned, a nice tall flag pole with a large flag can be good too. Easy to find from a few hundred feet up, in the event of a wind direction/speed change that you want to know about.

The FBI investigated all the leads that they had. They wouldn't publicize all physical evidence or facts because that is how they separate the sheep from the goats. That is, someone decides that they want to claim the glory, and a 25-year sentence. Good luck getting someone to sign up for that. Losers line up for their 15 minutes of fame, but can't prove it. If someone announces an unknown fact, that's him. If the airline, or possibly the military, decides to throw out some new info - that could give some grid coordinates to hunt for a body or some moss-covered gear. It's a body. He's deader than dog crap on the driveway.

Safety Day is coming up this weekend. Stuff is planned everywhere. I hope you get involved. Well... I'll tell you how you get to be the official Safety Dork. Last weekend, there were some little honeys running around and I was perusing the menu. There was one one in black pants and a white t-shirt and I could see a tiny bit of the interesting middle parts. That was because, her t-shirt wasn't tucked in her pants. It didn't go all the way to her waist. It was loose enough for the wind to grab it. I asked her that if she was going to sit-fly and she said yes. I then told her that the shirt would come up over her handles and it was dangerous. Without exposing anything, I pull the bottom of her shirt over her cutaway/reserve handles and showed her. I explained how if bad things were happening, and the dirt was approaching, she wouldn't have time to hunt around, or fix stuff. I don't know if she did anything about it, but all you can do is try. Andy told her that I was checking out her boobs. (...and nice they were) Here is the part that bothers me... When people are doing scary stuff, it irritates me that nobody says anything. I can understand if she is new and all her friends are in the same boat. However, shame on you experienced people. I hope that she changed shirts. I certainly wish I knew. I also hope that she will pass along that information if she sees a friend doing that. If I am in the boarding area, I am looking at gear. Everyones. Cheststraps, handles, flaps, everything. At the end of the day, I am looking at the sweater monkeys, No doubt. If someone gets hurt, or worse, you will feel like crap forever because you could have said something. People need to take better care of each other.

I'm just trying to figure out why you would watch more than the load screen. Send your guy card to Thanatos340 he will review the offense and we will make a determination of your standing. A good Beyonce satire is good for the soul. In her actual video, her hip thrusts look like a camel is about to bite you. She needs some pole dancing lessons. She's kind of a new-millenium soft porn.

I'm willing to listen to suggestions.

It may not be a guy. It may be Madonna "re-inventing" herself again. "Like a sturgeon..."

Ummm.... Q? No. Not a chance.

1- from the container 2- some residue in the container 3- or something outside the container. That narrowed it right down. It is something either inside of, or outside of the container, or maybe just the container itself. If I say it is something inside my car, or outside of my car, or something from my car. Same effect. That is the basic description of everything in the universe. Of course, later I can claim that I was absolutely right. "Scientists have determined that something was on the money." "See? Told ya."

He has some choreography and some moves, and he's not self-conscious about it. He's doing better than I am. I dance like two stray cats falling down a flight of stairs. Video please.

A little dancing style is how Justin Timberlake got started.

I like simple analogies with simple conclusions. The people who manage GM are boneheads.

all the single ladies ...by Beyonce, but using a body double. Thought I'd pee my pants watching this.

In 2006 Toyota's top 37 executives earned a combined $21.6 million in salary and bonuses, according to filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission. U.K. firm Manifest Information Services, which analyzes proxy information, estimates Toyota's top executive, Hiroshi Okuda, earned $903,000 in 2006. At Honda, the top 21 earned $11.1 million, combined in 2006, in salary and bonuses, SEC filings show. Ford's CEO, Alan Mulally, got $27.8 million in salary and bonus in his first few months on the job, including an $18.5 million signing bonus. GM's CEO made $15.7 million in 2007, a year when GM LOST $39BILLION Anyone notice a pattern there? If someone offered you a brand new car, except that it not only failed to run, but caused damage to all around it... wouldn't it be worth more money to get a good one? I'd say that GM would pay double that to a CEO if they could find one that would help them break even. Another $15 mil would be just a drop in the very leaky bucket.

Cali supreme court overturning Prop 8?

Sure they are. There are a lot of people in the South who can tell you otherwise. Vote whatever way you want, but if the politicians can convince the SC, it's done. Ask the Kennedys. A lot of people actually view it as a political overthrow of the elected govt of the South. You in the wrong bidness. Good luck with that. -
The economy is generally the average money supply times the annual velocity of money (the turnover rate for money). It used to be said that a dollar turned over 17 times a month. Now, everyone is hoarding cash. When they get it, they keep it instead of spending it. Therefore, the economy slows because no buying means no production of goods either. Employment slows in both the retail and production sectors. The Wall Street buyout did nothing but keep rich people from losing money. His domestic infrastructure spending could actually stimulate spending by infusing the bottom 50% with cash. (According to the IRS, 50% of the US makes less than 32K a year. If you make 31K, you are spending everything you have to survive.) Where will he get the money? Reducing the military spending in Iraq will be an easy spot and that is planned. The domestic spending will temporarily increase velocity. That would stabilize things for a little while. Some short-term calm would be nice.

Looks like balloon animals and a bottle of baby oil, on a Twister game... at first glance. Once it's pointed out, it's so clear.

Screaming? I thought you were an anaesthesiologist? Amateur... I rely on my personality. I'm not a doctor, but I play one in bars. "Yes, I always do a breast exam with my tongue..."

Stirring up the religious denomination shit.

I played church-league softball. The Open Bible church got tossed out of the league because they wouldn't quit swearing. A local neighborhood-type church. A Baptist spin-off. The Catholics always had beer in the cooler in the parking lot and a good batch of young adults to field a team. -
Being a tease? If a woman is in bed, with no clothes on, and snuggling up against me...? It's all over but the screaming.

Probably part of the overall theme of, "I don't know what the f- I'm doing"
