Ok, I'll say that I attempt to not be a packrat. Opinions vary. I just don't like to trash usable stuff and people give me stuff. (My current set of living room furniture was given to me.) Anyway, in the last 6 months, I acquired 2 extra tvs. I helped people move, others got a new one and gave me the old one. They sat on the floor for a while. So, on Wednesday, the Salvation Army drops by with a truck. Out goes two old beds and the two tvs, plus some bags of clothes. On Saturday, I am talking to some movers and they have a nice tv set that they will give me. No charge. On Sunday, I told someone at the dz and their tv was broke, so I gave them my current set. Anyway, don't toss stuff in the trash (especially electronics). Someone else can use it.

clicky is most likely NSFW The holiday giving season is just around the corner. I know that there is that special someone that would love this. Or, for yourself. Imagine that you are at a popular resort hotel by yourself. You need a "conversation starter"... something to grab some attention and start a chat for a moment. Your solution is here.

I used to call my g/f after sex. Of course, I never told her who it was with.

don't date him girl This is the website where probably-somewhat-angry ex-girlfriends discuss their former relationships. I checked, I'm not listed. However, I was thinking about adding myself and see if I could get a few emails.

So is Monk. So is gay porn. Yeah, it totally blows. Baragami??? I kept looking for TheOnion.com in the browser link. Can't believe that's considered an art form. What's next, parsley arranging? At Disney, they cut all the hedges into Disney character shapes. I like to call that Florigami.

Did our Jim Hooper write 100 Feet Over Hell?

He told me that I could purchase a copy off of the website and he would include a signature card. Edited to add: a recent pic on the SC Facebook page -
If you email Janine at the website, she will add the info. Right now, she has some internet issues. PM me or Rick and we will pass the information along. The current book is at Zhills. If you need more cards, PM me an address and we can mail you some pre-numbered cards.

Just mention that someone told you about the possibility that you should be prepared to do an off-dz landing. You may have to do it downwind. Tell them that you want to be prepared, so you are going to do a 5mph downwind landing before you downsize. ...today. Ask them to join you. If they think it is a problem, ask why.

Were the cats "fixed" ? Unhappy memories. "...last time I was here, they removed my nuts."

At what point do you stop thinking of it as "home"?

It depends on what events define your life and where those events occur. It depends on how you live today, and where you want to live to do those things. example - going to a 10yr high school reunion. Some people have not changed. At 30 years old, you should be 30. -
Yes, but Charlie Manson is still in jail. Helter Skelter is on hold. There are easier ways to foment revolution and then use the following events to justify martial law. Example- Bring external political action groups in to bring things to a violent boil. Then, when the eventual violence occurs, bring in Federal troops. Or, just control the money. Centralize all the tax dollars until member states are dependent on the whim of the central govt for their existence. Then, deny the return of the money until they bend to your will. Stop road construction, education funding, or medical funds until they comply. It's always worked before.

I think that people are too anxious about this. The committee always lists the accomplishments of the recipient. People need to calm down a little. A feeling of calm and a general consensus of direction are part of the list. Let's not undermine an accomplishment. Feelings are important. He took office on Jan 20th. He was nominated before the Feb 1st deadline.

It's a promotional stunt for Buick LaCrosse. Part of the car company stimulus program.

...Except that he hadn't done any of those things until after he was nominated. He had less than two weeks as Pres before he was nominated. He was elected with the same voting record. news

Robert Rouvreau (SP?) AKA Frenchy
happythoughts replied to Andrewwhyte's topic in Blue Skies - In Memory Of
Frenchy with his wheelbarrow at Zhills, going to gather wood. He was around 70 and would cut wood with an ax. -
In Tampa, someone did. It was required that the stadium have 6 womens stalls for 4 of the mens. "potty parity", woman mayor. No problem. You can even give 50% off on it. "Ummm... why, yes, I am done."

I was only going to date smart ones, but they are smart enough to know better. I think they need another clicky. Primarily, I look for desperation.

Robert Rouvreau (SP?) AKA Frenchy
happythoughts replied to Andrewwhyte's topic in Blue Skies - In Memory Of
At the age of 70, he would cut wood with an axe each morning, and nobody had better mess with it. We even got him a small campfire shovel and spray-painted it gold. Once, someone threw some tar-paper from a roof into the fireplace and he blamed it on one of the tandem instructors. He chased the guy around, so the guy rocked the shovel back and forth into the ground until only a nub stuck out. Frenchy had to get another shovel to dig it out. He would sit by the fire in his trench coat with a beer in each pocket. The Brits would give him crap and he would say, "I talk to the Queen today. I tell her you very bad man." Never got my Frenchy number either. Dudley said his was in the low 70s. I doubt they hit 100. -
In skydiving, I have noticed that people keep making the same mistakes that were made before. The advantage of training, or education, of any kind, is to not repeat mistakes of the past. Employers look for an initial base of knowledge for any task. Nobody hires some person off the street and says, "We just train him to the level of a sr. engineer this month". Intelligence is only a mental tool. The value of a hammer is whether you use it. For most politicians, their aspect of intelligence is not artist, mathematical, or engineering - it is social. The hardest to measure.

VFW members duct tape flag burner to flag pole
happythoughts replied to wayneflorida's topic in Speakers Corner
That's not the guy coming forward voluntarily, that's him being hunted down and coerced into enduring what he considered to be the lesser of three evils. To the folks that wondered why nobody had called the cops; it appears at least one person did . . . and they essentially ignored it. The cops in this town are nuts! He did something wrong. He burned someone elses property. He was trying to be as offensive as possible and he succeeded. He made the choice to be humiliated, ala the stocks, instead of being arrested. Something needed to be done and they gave him a choice. Do you prefer that he has no consequences for his actions? It is a small town. "hunted down" was a little bit dramatic. Everyone knows the guy. No secret. It was more like, "we're going over to Bobs to talk to him". It seems like we have a growth experience here. They resolved a case of minor-stupid without an arrest record to haunt him forever. Five years from now, he will tell the story as, "Man was I a dumb kid...". A bunch of people (including the guy) worked things out fairly among themselves and you'd like to tell them how unfair they were to the poor baby. Those people are ok with him now and he is part of the community again. -

Except, that's absolutely not what happened here. the rest of the story So, he was given choices. - police and arrest. - a fight. - be embarrassed for a while. He did admit that he burned the flag. He was drunk and wanted to anger them in the best way he knew. He apologized. In every online news account, townspeople know who the person is, but refuse to identify him. I'd say that there has been a sincere act of public apology and it's acceptance. The town is ok with the outcome. If he'd have been taken to the police, he may have gotten off with a fine. That way, people don't learn how to live right. They just learn that they can do whatever they want and buy their way out. In California, that is Lindsey Lohan and her minutes in jail. Most people don't want to live in a culture like that. Seems like the kid is a better person for this event. That's a better community than LA.
