  1. Science today is working on an all encomassing truth based around invisible, omipresent matter that we can't detect (yet) that is apparently passing through our eyeballs as we speak. Nobody believes that they talk to electricity. Nobody believes that if they pray to electricity, it will shock their enemies. The concept of an conscious entity that is psychically (praying) communicated with, and the concept of radio waves, are several orders of magnitude different. Don't try to use the existence of radar to prove that a being exists throughout time. Jesus may have lived, but he is still really dead. Thor, Odin, Poseidon... all myths.
  2. Does chakra clearing involve self-guided meditation or talking to invisible people ? Does your practice identify other spiritual groups as evil and teach that the evil people must be destroyed ? (Even to the point of sub-sects killing each other.) Does your practice have a heaven/hell system of rewards and punishments that are meted out in a seemingly random fashion by a petulant invisible being ? (Thus, actions have no clear relationship to consequences.) I may not know exactly how meditation works totally, but it doesn't seem to destroy the lives of people. So, I am ok with it. Religions use the belief in omnipotent invisible beings to manipulate people. They are carnival workers with tax exempt status. They all believe that the invisible people of other religions are myths and don't exist. I believe that none do.
  3. Yeah....that must be it. I'm sure it has nothing to do with the fact that I think having a delusional counselor is a bad idea. It ignores the basic issue. Religion is not the solution, it is the problem. Guilt, misinformation, and a lifestyle of dependence on mythical creatures. "If you follow these rituals, the mythical omnipotent being will solve all your problems... or not." Yeah, that's how you plan your life. That is crazy. When religion didn't work, someone wrote a book, "Why do bad things happen to good people?" Start out with a reality-based life instead of a mystical-based one. You can't expect for a crazy solution to produce sanity.
  4. I've got two. One sleeps on the roof of my car. One sleeps on the other back steps. If I sit in the back yard, they come over and visit. I don't feed them.
  5. I worked at a hospital where they would provide free stool testing. They provided an area pharmacy chain with little cardboard boxes. We got 75,000 back. Out in the garden area, there was a classroom area where they were stored. It went from being "the garden classroom" to "the outhouse".
  6. CSI Sometimes, you're not looking for DNA, you'd like to leave some.
  7. Easy enough. They are probably typing questions in search engines. The one with the most inquiries pops to the top. So, I go to Google. In the box, I type "why is". Number 3? "Why is my poop green?" Really? A lot of people want to know that? What do inquiring minds need to know?
  8. Anybody who is talking to invisible people needs to be first in the door.
  9. ???????????????????? you 'd rather it kept leaking? Just kinda late. I think they lacked motivation. It doesn't cost them anything past a certain point. Should have thrown one of their executives out a window every 3 days. When it gets close to your turn, you're motivated. They've poisoned the whole gulf. It isn't going to just rebound. "Looks like you're going to die. Good news, the bleeding stopped." They're about 3 months too late.
  10. Nuthin wrong with Chick-filet. That's why I don't believe in sex on the first date. It should be before the first date. "What are we doing?" "We're deciding where we're going for dinner..."
  11. "You're in luck, we've run out of ammunition..." Kinda of good news of limited value.
  12. Using a coupon on a date? Many of my dates won't take coupons. However, some will give a discount if you ask up front. ""Hey, how much for the three of us?"
  13. Where will you turn to seek a solution? To logic, science and reasoning, perhaps. Which may or may not work for pirana. However, that approach has little to no positive affect for those who suffer. Well, that depends upon one's point of view and what they are suffering from. Pretty words wont cure broken bodies .. The false dichotomy. "If you don't have all the answers, then we are the only answer." It's funny how religious people use that. It never dawns on the Christians that they aren't the only religious entity floating about. Personally, I think the Christians are actually the problem. Using their "logic" they might be pushing people towards finding alternative answers in other "real" religions. What has Thor been up to these days ?
  14. On all jumps, I check my altitude when we reach the cloud base. (Most days in Fla, there are a few around 4,000) The cloud base is a good ref point. Also, watch some of your videos. You will notice that the ground looks generally the same at break off. I watched a lot of 4-way video and could tell when they were about to break off. For the next 50 jumps, look at the ground at break off altitude and pull altitude. Get an idea of how the trees look at the different heights. Example - For me, at 4500 ft, the trees start to look less like clumps and more like individual trees.
  15. A farmer hears some noise and walks out. He sees a man in the pig sty wrestling with the pig. The man said that the pig kept running up and bumping into him. He decided to take the pig down. The farmer said, "Well, you can wrestle with the pig, but eventually you realize three things. You can't win, you're getting covered in crap, and the pig likes it." ...jus' sayin'
  16. My god! What happened to you?" the bartender asked Kelly as he hobbled in on a crutch, one arm in a cast. "I got in a tiff with Riley." "Riley? He's just a wee fellow," the barkeep said surprised. "He must have had something in his hand." "That he did," Kelly said. "A shovel it was." "Dear Lord. Didn't you have anything in your hand?" "Aye, that I did--Mrs. Riley's left breast." Kelly said. "And a beautiful thing it was, but not much use in a fight!"
  17. It is the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy in the mainstream media. The Man is keeping her down. Right arm, bro
  18. I would gladly acknowledge that Hillary's supporters are every bit as honest as she is. Does anyone need a refresher on her weekly campaign diversions from the truth? A week didn't go by without her being busted for flagrant and easily disproved lies.
  19. Just to put this into perspective, women need to remember that men will lie to women to get sex. Thus, they will probably lie to get more sex. Favorite lie? "Honey, you were awesome. That was the best sex that I have ever had." So, thinking that they are great in bed (theoretically) is not the on-ramp to the relationship highway.
  20. Why are you assuming he's actually writing it himself? There are more than enough ghostwriters for everyone. Hell, somewhere there's probably one with the name of Faust. Coincidence... same guy is busy already. Writing Hillary's biography, including a special chapter on her experiences under fire in the war zone or the White House press briefings.
  21. How about that other new book? The Wisdom of Joe Biden. Can't hardly wait until the November 9 release of the GWB memoir; "Decider Points." Cheney is supposedly working on a memoir as well, but there seems to be some issue with finding enough blood of virgins to use as ink. Isn't that just like Cheney to actually do something himself ? Using words and stuff ? It would be less time consuming if he used the H. Clinton ghost-writer from her book It takes a bar district to raise your child
