Think you would be setting a precedent... I fly at one 2 miles outside the outer ring near the philly class b and the dzo had to jump through a lot of hoops to get it going. USPA Seeking Feedback on Canopy Safety Proposals
DBCOOPER replied to NWFlyer's topic in Safety and Training
I travel a lot, visiting lots of dz's throughout the country. I have to say, I see more close calls entirely unrelated to swooping and generally related to people having their heads firmly planted up their ass and oblivious to everything around them. Ian You see it, I see it, other people see it, and no one does anything about it. There needs to be someone driving the train. When somebody fucks up there needs to be an immediate corrective action taken. Somebody needs to be banning the dangerous people so they can't hurt anyone. I don't care what the rules are, first man down, specified direction or what ever. If the rule isn't followed your done. period. Go to a gun range and point a gun at someone. You would be thrown off the property immediately. Call someone in incidents an asshole and Bill Von will have you out of there as soon as he sees it. Land against traffic at a boogie and everyone shakes their head. WTF. We don't need anymore rules. We need to enforce the ones in place. Dude, it's a little different when a lot of us happen to know the guy who put the series together (Joao Tambor) and whose pocket you would be picking with your request. Well, it's always gonna be someone's pocket that's being "picked" whether you know them or not. If I were in the market for a mountain bike and you had an old one for sale, wouldn't that be denying the bike maker a new sale? What about any used item that a person no longer wants? Not a valid comparison. Only one person at a time can use a mountain bike or any physical item. At any one time, all the items in use must have been sold from the manufacturer at one time. By contrast, you can copy a single DVD many different times and distribute it. If everyone did what you do, the manufacturer would only get compensated for a small handful of sales. My fucking mountain bike is jammed in the copier... Replying to: Re: Stall On Jump Run Emergency Procedure? by billvon If the plane is unrecoverable then exiting is a very very good idea.

The only place that I can find in the regs about a requirement to file a NOTAM ,and it really doesn't say anything about a Notam, is in the part that says you must comply with everything in a certificate of authorization and they usually state you must file a NOTAM. Is it a good practice? Yea probably is, but if your fun jumping away from an airport you don't need a CoA and it would be difficult for the average pilot to locate a notam, especially if they're just passing through. ATC and radar are you safest bet and are required in any type of controlled airspace.
