Israeli troops attack ship carrying aid to Gaza killing 16
Skyrad replied to dreamdancer's topic in Speakers Corner
was this a serious question? Yes, if weapons had been on the ships the IDF would have shown them all over the media by now. When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. Lucius Annaeus Seneca -
Yep. So what's England going to do next, with their typical knee-jerk legislative response to such tragedies? Ban .22 rifles and shotguns? Not this time, I think that people have realised that thegun ban has done nothing to prevent firearms crime. There are currently 1.3 Million firearms legally held in the UK and I doubt that anyone will be trying to remove them. What are you fucking psychic?? Actually I stand corrected on the first part but there is no denying that Israel has screwed this up and shot themselves in the foot. Like I said a clusterfuck of a mission. When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. Lucius Annaeus Seneca -

You're making some massive assumptions there Chris. At what point did I say there should be no gun control? I'm against a gun ban and thats a very different thing. As for guns being difficult to obtain in the UK I assume that either your no longer living in the Uk or that you live in a nice area in a middle class environment. Getting illegal firearms in the UK is a piece of piss. At no point did I mention concealed carry. Yes its true that shotgun licences are easier to get than rifle licenses. In recent years though there has been a decline in application for and issuing of shotgun licences. Its not yet known if the criminal had legal firarms or not. When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. Lucius Annaeus Seneca

http://uk.news.yahoo.com/18/20100602/tuk-five-dead-in-gun-rampage-in-cumbria-a7ad41d.html Its true, banning law abiding people from owning firearms does nothing to stop gun crime. Should a disco be allowed to be built in Auschwitz?
Skyrad replied to skyrider's topic in Speakers Corner
I see, so is this thread really about the mosque that is being built a few blocks away from the World Trade Center in New York? Is that what you're actually driving at? It is a comparison to the same thinking, Yes! The idiots that flew the planes into the WTC were to Islam what the klu Klux Klan are to Christianity. and the 6 wounded (2 criticically) soldirer were hurt by the breeze, right? While it is an unfortunate outcome that shouldn't have happened, this is exactly what the organizers have hoped for. if all they wanted was helping Gaza, they would have accepted the offer to transer the supplies peacefully like is being done daily through Israel and/or Egypt. still, Israel shouldn't have been dragged into this provocation Israel should not have committed an act of piracy in international waters. If it wanted to board the vessels it should have done so in its own waters. The mission was a total clusterfuck. Israel has screwed up big time on this one. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cinco_de_mayo Thanks Andy, damn! Even the Mexicans get to celebrate beating the French, personally I think we should have 'Waterloo day' in celebration of kicking crepard butt. However, now I'm more confused than ever. How is wearing the USA flag in the USA on a day the Mexicans celebrate beating the French in anyway going to upset Mexicans???? Just don't get it. What are you talking about? I guess you never heard of the Magna Carta. The Royal Family are great for tourism and foreign visits. Where else would Yanks and Japs congregate in London if it wasn't for the Royal Family? On a serious note, educate yourself, its getting embarrassing. I have no idea why you'd have to, We don't even do that in the Mother country .... Unless you are in the military. They are just symbolic... nothing more. I just can't see why folks get so upset. The wording of the OPs poll is so shite it's not even worth voting on. There is no middle ground, just vitriol Couldn't have put it better myself mate.
