  1. Great point. Or to put it another way... http://www.twitvid.com/4JTZH (If you need a translation ask StreetScooby, he knows what she's saying) When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. Lucius Annaeus Seneca
  2. Heh heh In other words, the truly professional rioters are appalled at these people's lack of professionalism. Must have standards, after all. Actually as rioting goes they did quite a job, it may have been a complete accident but their employment of swam tactics overwhelmed the agents of law enforcement who were not able to use the tactics of containment and kettling that they would against a large mob. 3. I agree, but there remains reasons why their behaviour is so. I think you've hit on some of the reasons, I think that a lack of ownership of this country allows them to destroy their country. They don't see it as there own neighbourhood. Social national service (not military) is a good start as is mentorship schemes seeing as many have no fathers living at home and many of those who do have dysfunctional fathers. I move away from the look the other way society has to be made and the public encouraged to stand up to criminals. 4. Likewise I have no problem with the Police shooting first. When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. Lucius Annaeus Seneca

  6. Hey! After you rest up a little, could you do me a favor? I need a new couch.....oh, and a wide-screen TV. Help out a fellow jumper, eh? You can't fool me, you'll just sell them for jump tickets When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. Lucius Annaeus Seneca
  7. they got a load of free stuff which makes them feel richer - just like those bankers who thought it would be fun to crash the financial system... (who is the more stupid) A very simplistic argument. Brush the chip off your shoulder and get real about this. What are the real underlying causes? (And try and think of something other than rich people) When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. Lucius Annaeus Seneca
  8. I agree with the vast majority of your post, but the underlying question is 'whats pissing them off?' We can contain this situation but to cure it we need to get to those answers first. 9. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/election/article-1280554/The-coalition-millionaires-23-29-member-new-cabinet-worth-1m--Lib-Dems-just-wealthy-Tories.html Maybe you'd rather have a a uneducated unsuccessful job seeker running the country? 10. Basically she told them they weren't fighting for a cause because if they were they wouldn't be smashing up businesses of hard working people. If they want to protest then protest don't thieve and loot. When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. Lucius Annaeus Seneca

  12. it certainly looks like this is what cameron and osborne are trying to stir up... (and remember the police shot first) All thats been stirred up is community action. First the clean up after the riot action by the community of London, then the Operation Cup of tea anti riot movement 104,735 people have joined that just today. And now following rumours of Looters targeting Southall's jewellers tonight 100s of Sikhs , Muslims and Hindus have joined together to defend their community. So much for your class war, people are coming together. When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. Lucius Annaeus Seneca
  13. Do you have any idea how illogical that is? When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. Lucius Annaeus Seneca

  15. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/1555697/UK-one-of-worst-countries-for-social-mobility.html Not comparing apples with apples. The 50s was a time due to the post war period when there was a massive shortage of people for work, the nation was also literally in ruins. Of course there were massive opportunities. 17. Where are you getting all this lack of social mobility crap from? I used to live in a house that was condemned for human habitation, we could only live in one room, we had no floor boards and a hole in the ceiling the size of a car that you could look through the two floors above straight through the roof and at the stars. I'm dyslexic and left school with next to no education, the couple of O' levels I got were Art based. My first job was pairing second hand welly boots and other shit jobs before I joined the RAF then later the Army. I worked on my education after school as when I was at school it was so bad that several of my teachers committed suicide. I grew up in a very racist period living in Brixton and going to school in the shittest school in Peckham which I left having had a gun held to my head for the second time. The next school I went to was much better, on the first day they found 48 petrol bombs behind the music block which were to be used on the fee paying school next door, which was then burnt down two months later. I got my qualifications after the Army, I did it at night college and then one year full time at diploma level, enough to go to University. In the mean time I worked security jobs at night and weekends. Then I finally went to Medical School and became a Radiographer. Eventually I was head hunted for a Multinational Health company as a Consultant where I worked internationally, then I was promoted to Senior Management position overseas. I am now completing a MSc at Med school again and have just been offered another Consultancy position with the objective of securing a contract worth several tens of millions. Among my friends are several who have Titles, a politician, and members from all walks of life... So don't tell me theres no social mobility because you don't know what you're talking about. Like I said, don't blame the world for your own failings. When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. Lucius Annaeus Seneca

  19. Cut the discipline in schools, disregard family values, cut the police, cut the Fire Service funding, encourage a look the other way culture and hey presto we're reaping the rewards. 22. If THAT was the sole excuse then the thugs would be attacking the police NOT just out thieving, now would they? 23. I heard he was a looter who got into an argument with another looter about the swag. When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. Lucius Annaeus Seneca
  24. This is the result of the 'look the other way' culture that successive Governments have encouraged over the last forty years in this country. With derisive terms such as 'Have a go hero' for citizens who have a sense of civic duty and the courage of their convictions. And labels such as Grass, Informant being given a totally negative connotation by the mass media for those who won't tolerate criminals in their midst. The country has no leaders anymore only managers and career politicians who know nothing of real life. To think of the poor buggers who died for this country and continue to do so only for it to become like this, its a disgusting disgrace. When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. Lucius Annaeus Seneca
