well Jo, I don't think that if this was the same clip it would not be in the middle, the clip is 1 inch and a quarter long, making that tie 2 & 1/2 inches wide which I find hard to believe, most ties I believe were over 3 inches wide from that area down to the bottom of the tie. I just don't think this is a clip, we now know the photo's were together for who knows how long and what temps they were stored at, I would be glad to look at a better pic for you, but don't get your hopes up on the conclusions. everything can always be double checked! Coopers tie was very slim all the way down, not flaring out like most ties.
