  1. ____________________________________________ As I have been reading the posts these last 2 or 3 days, I still can't help but ask the question: who gives a rat's ass whether Cossey and/or Hayden packed and/or owned the parachutes provided to Cooper? This helps further understanding of the case because _______________________ (fill in the blank). I read Bruce's Mountain News story about Hayden, Cossey, the chutes -- and I must say I came away totally confused -- but at least I'm confused at a higher level now and about more important things. Now Bruce says even the PDF is suspect. So, what's left we can count on? Pretty much nothing. But is that really so bad? Maybe not. To me, what seems more important is what chutes Cooper actually ended up with, which one(s) did he actually use -- and why, and how this information helps us better understand the motives, actions, and personality of DB Cooper. Getting that information can only help solve the case. My bet is the homicide of Earl Cossey has absolutely nothing to do with the DB Cooper case. There are already indications. As Charles Barkley says, "I may be wrong.......(long pause).......... but I don't think so." MeyerLouie
  2. BK wrote: I'll confirm the white canopy in the dummy chute, and Cossey did not pack it. I will also repeat that this is the chute Cooper used and he used it on his BACK! Listen to my words. This is the way it was. ____________________________________________ So, is it a dummy chute or not? I thought dummy chute meant training chute, stuffed with foam -- not useable. If it had a canopy, then wouldn't that make it a legit, useable chute? So, what is it? This double talk gets so confusing. I wished the experts (in parachutes and skydiving) would jump in (no pun intended) more often and clarify when we're wrong and when we're not. MeyerLouie
  3. Blevins wrote: You guys are making this more complicated than it really is. Read the PDF excerpt. Hayden gives extensive details on both chutes, gets one back from the FBI later. Neither belonged to Cossey. He was just the person who packed them. The evidence is nearly overwhelming on this point. Hayden claims ownership forty years ago, via the PDF. He does the same thing in the Bruce Smith interview. The FBI and the courts agree, returning the second chute to Hayden later. What more do you need? _____________________________________________ Blevins, you're making good sense here, that's my take on it too. MeyerLouie
  4. The five scenarios I proposed were not wild speculations. They are the same things the cops will investigate. I liked your reference in a later post saying I must be a proctologist. Well...if I were, you would be my first patient and I would gladly remove the stick for you. ____________________________________________ Blevins, that's funny, I LOL. Speaking of proctologists, my proctologist is really weird -- he makes me bend over and he goes "ahhhh." Whoa Columbo, slow up, you've already got the case solved. MeyerLouie____________________________________________ Not that you would actually go anyway, but I'm withdrawing my offer on the camping trip/video up to the High Lake. I can only take so many insults before I decide I'd rather not hang out with someone personally... ____________________________________________ Say it isn't so, Blevins. You mean we're not going to sit around the campfire and sing "Cum By Ya"? Now, you're digging deep, you really know how to hurt a guy. Why can't everyone just get along? MeyerLouie
  5. __________________________________________________ Bruce, Welcome back from Woodinville (you know, I lived in Woodinville for a brief time in the late 80s). I'm glad you had a safe and productive trip. I arrived at the same conclusion -- the pull was on the left side, so it must be a left-handed pull. Just the exact opposite, thanks Robert99. I have been reading all the posts about Cossey, Hayden, who owned the chutes, who didn't, Smoking99's astute analysis and admonishment to us Bevins bashers. It's all interesting, but as I read, I kept thinking -- does it really matter who owned or rigged the parachutes or whether Cooper was left-handed or right-handed (Which hand was dominant, Tina, as he secured the moneybag? What hand did he put to his mouth as he smoked the cigarettes, Tina?). I know we all have Cossey on our minds this weekend, and wer'e thinking about his history and contributions as they relate to the case. I learned Cooper opted for the military chute and the dummy reserve. He didn't use the recreational back chute (that got sent back to Hayden) and he cut up the good reserve chute. Why did Cooper make these choices -- you gotta wonder? Sometimes people choose gear that's familiar, eventhough inconvenient and more difficult, over gear that's more user friendly, convenient, and more technologically advanced. Choosing a military chute may indicate familiarity and experience with it. Also, I heard said the military chute, when compared to the "recreational chute", would be more difficult to control and it would have a harder pull, maybe even a much harder pull. Might that indicate DBC needed to jump onto flatter ground, closer to civilation and not into heavily wooded terrain -- because of this control issue? This, in turn, would imply he needed to be familiar with the geography (afterall, he knew where Tacoma and SeaTac were), which, in turn, would imply a connection to McChord AFB. Another thing: Did DBC keep the dummy reserve chute or did he throw it out? It's hard to say, but if you had a pocket knife, it wouldn't be that hard to fashion some sort of temporary protective clothing and makeshift shelter (which he would have been in dire need of that night -- Rambo did that in Firstblood Part I with that humongous knife, right?). If Cooper threw out the dummy chute (and/or briefcase for that matter), then there's a chance they're still out there -- and that's a good reason to join up with Jerry Thomas' search this summer. As I read the old posts, I am convinced a consolidated DBC profile is sorely needed -- one that synthesizes the key facts and information brought forth in this forum. I have no doubt, Bruce, that your upcoming book will help a lot in this behalf -- I look forward to reading it. Okay, I've said my piece -- now I'm preparing myself for Professor Blevins' "line-item veto." Blevins is not a Doctor, he just plays one on TV. I hear he's a proctologist -- it's the only profession where you start out at the bottom and stay there. MeyerLouie
  6. _________________________________________________ Your wild speculations remind me of the first time I saw a bad car accident when I was 14 years old. Nothing is even official yet, and you're imagination has totally run wild. Get a grip grow up. MeyerLouie __________________________________________________ Exactly how are the above 'wild speculations'? You have 5 bullets -- two for Cooper nuts, three for burglary type, and a 6th possibility. If that isn't Girls Gone Wild, I don't know what is. Cossey has not been confirmed yet as the victim, that will happen later today. You've already nailed down all the possibilities. My reference to my 14-year-old traumatic experience with the car accident refers to your level of maturity in reacting to this case. Once again, you totally miss the point. MeyerLouie
  7. _________________________________________________ You're going to make me read that all over again.... oh, man! MeyerLouie
  8. _________________________________________________ Your wild speculations remind me of the first time I saw a bad car accident when I was 14 years old. Nothing is even official yet, and you're imagination has totally run wild. Get a grip grow up. MeyerLouie __________________________________________________
  9. . The basketball hoop reference was an early attempt to find out whether the picture was a real shot of Cossey's house. Most of the folks I know over the age of 70 do NOT have hoops on the garage wall. As it turns out, it was Cossey's house, although I was hoping it was not. ... _________________________________________________ I rest my case....you missed the point. Your conclusions were silly. MeyerLouie _________________________________________________ As it turns out, even the Sheriffs' Office was curious about any possible Cooper Nut link, although like me, they think it's a stretch. Personally, I think Cossey may have surprised a burglar, if the Sheriffs' Office continues to call it a homicide. _________________________________________________ Cooper Nut? Burglar? Why the wild speculation, Blevins? Nothing is official yet, not even that Cossey is the victim. Means, motive, and opportunity have to be determined, and that's going to take an investigation, and that, in turn, is going to take time. I have no doubt in my mind that law enforcement will get to the bottom of "it" -- whatever "it" is. Settle down, grab a clue! MeyerLouie _________________________________________________ .... At least I tried to show the family some respect. .... __________________________________________________ Don't think so, Blevins. MeyerLouie
  10. Blevins said: I apologize if some of my posts and references were over the top back there. Guess I'm pretty upset. ... I feel pretty sad about the whole thing. And angry, I guess. __________________________________________________ Let's look at the incredible rationalizations of Robert Blevins these past several hours. He logically reasons someone younger, not retired, must be living at said residence in Woodinville, since there was a basketball hoop (Wrong!!! Where does such logical incoherence come from?). He blurts out the Cossey home address for no good apparent reason -- other than to go to the front of the line in his opportunistic zeal to grab all the attention. Then I find a post elsewhere (not on the forum) where, in his opportunistic zeal, takes advantage of the Cossey tragedy by plugging his book and his article -- all the while condemning Georger for being disrespectful of the Cossey tragedy. Now, he comes to his senses and apologizes for all those "over the top" posts -- because he was sad, angry, and upset -- so sad, in fact, that he found a way to plug his book, to plug his article, and to totally disrespect the Cossey family whilst simultaneously condemning others for doing the same. How does one reconcile such rationalizations and denials? The real Blevins is finally coming out, we're seeing the guy for who and what he really is. Un-frickin'-believable! MeyerLouie
  11. Well first of all, I can't find anywhere that is definitively saying it's him, but I agree with Shutter that it looks more likely than not. That said...... You know I have stayed away from your posts because at times it looks like people are piling on, but I really can't believe that you posted this on another website... "This is extremely sad. And although there could be any number of reasons why Cossey was killed, there are a few things you should know. First, I'm the guy who wrote a recent book on DB Cooper titled 'Into The Blast'. And during my research on this book, I discovered two things. First, Cossey's address and phone have been unlisted and publicly available at Dex Knows for years. Second, there are a lot of 'Cooper Nuts' out there. I know, I have met many of them either personally or on the internet. Cossey often spoke to people on the phone about Cooper, depending on his mood, but he was generally known as a nice guy. I would first check his phone records, see if any calls come from people known to be working on the Cooper case. My sincerest sympathies to the family. If you want to see what Cooperland is all about, see my article at Newsvine here:" http://adventurebooks.newsvine.com/_news/2013/01/16/16519136-skyjacker-db-cooper-part-1-of-3-welcome-to-cooperland Really Blevins? I'm sorry, but sometimes I seriously wonder about some of you guys.. _________________________________________________ I would say mainly wonder about Blevins. He uses this tragedy to pitch his book and article. Some of us have been saying all along that's why he's here. Now, he just proved it. Thanks for posting the Blevins quote -- it's only fitting the whole world should see the guy for who he really is. And he posts Cossey's home address to boot -- for what reason? Glory hound? How respectful is that? Un-frickin'-believable!! MeyerLouie
  12. ..... I've got an email out to Meyer Louie to see if he wants to go on a road trip to Woodinville on Saturday. _________________________________________________ Would've loved to go, Bruce. Sorry, couldn't change plans I had in place for the day. Nex time..... MeyerLouie
  13. One (maybe) positive sign it isn't Cossey: There is a basketball backboard attached above the garage at the victim's house. This is according to the KING article linked above. This MAY point to someone younger living in the house, and not Cossey, who is retired. __________________________________________________ Logical conclusion: retired guys don't play basketball, they're too old. The logic of Robert Blevins -- another Blevinism. MeyerLouie
  14. Blevins wrote: You can point fingers and make insults all you want, but now few are listening, and even fewer care. I think Airtwardo hit the nail on the head dead center.
  15. __________________________________________________ Are you kidding, Blevins? I rest my case....you went off topic 30 paragraphs. That's the difference between you and normal people -- normal people go off topic 2 or 3 paragraphs. Do you honestly think I'm going to waste my time reading your 30 paragraphs? What amazes me is you actually took the time to work it up and post it. Don't get out much, huh? MeyerLouie
  16. _________________________________________________ Jo, you gotta be kidding. When I first joined the forum, I heard several forum members engage in sexual innuendo and social intercourse (that was a subliminal joke), I heard lots of 4-letter words, lots of harsh language when we got into bickering mode, and you didn't say anything. You have been using the f*** word a lot lately and you have done your share of name-calling too. So, we had a little fun with some off-color humor. Lighten up. MeyerLouie
  17. _________________________________________________ Most people go off topic for just a paragraph or two. You do 10 or 20 paragraphs. That is the difference. How did I go off topic --my last sentence was a question asking if it's what Cooper did after he jumped? MeyerLouie
  18. __________________________________________________ You musta been plum tuckered -- sewage marathon, then San Fran, then orgy sex. I'm betting the hippie chicks didn't shave their armpits or take baths -- I hate it when that happens -- it's so not hippie. NOt only that, you were lucky ... I've heard San Fran is where "God save the queen" takes on a whole new meaning -- it coulda been unnatural shenanigns in the Winnebago. I've always thought managing a trio was tough enough, so how does one keep 4 fun-lovin' earthy babes busy and interested? I'll bet it was trying. OR...... were you talking about DB Cooper did after the jump? MeyerLouie
  19. Blevins, If there is "solid proof", then it's not a "theory". It's a "fact". Robert99 __________________________________________________ This is what I mean by your "flawed logic," Blevins. Think! MeyerLouyie
  20. Blevins said: I don't know WHERE the chute is. I do know the people who can tell me. _________________________________________________ As I've said all along, I'll believe that when I see it. What you purport here is nothing but heresay -- he said, they said, she said. C'mon! MeyerLouie __________________________________________________ Meyer says in part: 'I've brought up and researched topics on what was actually left on the plane, what possible communication was used by Cooper, the Tena Bar money find, and other topics (I'm not going to do 20 paragraphs here, like Blevins does, to justify my existence)...' Robert replies: Okay, I'll believe it. But the FBI is already on the record for what was left behind, and there is no proof or even evidence Cooper had any com with anyone except maybe a pay phone after he landed. And there isn't even proof of that. I wouldn't mind hearing your opinions on the Tena Bar money. __________________________________________________ Well thank you, Mr. Blevins. You have just answered all my questions, in one sentence. You know everything, amazing! I think I'll defer the communications issues to people who actually know something about it and know what they're talking about. It isn't settled.....read the thread when 377 and Farflung were talking about the possibilities. MeyerLouie __________________________________________________ Robert replies: ...I didn't quote your other remarks about my high-school experience. You are dead wrong. I was popular enough, didn't get picked on, and mostly engaged in farming when I wasn't studying. I even had a girlfriend, believe it or not. You could call her the Serious Type. __________________________________________________ Touche on that one, Blevins. My remarks about your high school days were mean-spirited. I went over the line, my apologies. Speaking of "Serious Type," though. That reminds me of when I was in high school. One day, one of my friends asked me a question about girls: He said, "Which do you prefer -- the young, energetic, vivacious type or the older, more mature, serious type?" I said, "Well, I really don't know....... (long pause) ...........which one has the biggest breasts?" Okay, so much for the male chauvinistic crap-- well, maybe not -- "How many male chauvinists does it take to screw in a light bulb?" "None, that's women's work!" MeyerLouie
  21. _________________________________________________ NOW WE'RE GETTIN' SOMEWHERE! MeyerLouie
  22. WHAT have U brought to the table? List them! I do NOT recall a productive investigative post from you. Repost it! __________________________________________________ Hi Jo: Big question, Ms. 20%-er, for someone who has produced zippo, zilch, nada in 17 years. I don't know, I went to Amboy personally and knocked on lots of doors, I found out no one knows where the Amboy chute is, after Blevins and others proclaimed that everybody knew where the Amboy chute was buried. I've brought up and researched topics on what was actually left on the plane, what possible communication was used by Cooper, the Tena Bar money find, and other topics (I'm not going to do 20 paragraphs here, like Blevins does, to justify my existence). I've taken several trips to Ariel, to Cooper Country, and actually talked to real people. I try not to make untrue, unsubstantiated statements -- like the FBI has closed the case. Okay then, bye, bye now. MeyerLouie
  23. No. But your complaining has reached amazing levels. Between you and Georger, it is the two of you who must share a portion of the responsibility for driving people away. I have already shared my portion of this responsibility, but after scores of posts where you use very unflattering comments and say very negative things...you still believe you aren't part of the problem? It is not the informational posts that drive people away. It's the constant complaining and bitching. I have seen posts from DZ users that say so. I have emails from people that say the same thing. Since you have been researching old posts, do you have any Cooper-related subjects to discuss, or simply more complaints? I would love to hear something Cooper-related instead. And so would everyone else, I think. _________________________________________________ Blevins: I have tried to bring relevant, well thought out information to the forum -- detailed -- only to have you barge in, uninvited, and give your usual 20 paragraphs of unsolicited crap. When you hog the show, it doesn't leave much room or time for others to respond. You're killing the spirit here, dude, you're killing the free exchange of ideas from several individuals -- individuals unlike yourself, individuals who actually know things, who have actual expertise and skills -- all because you think your opinion is the only one that matters here. Everybody went to high school with someone just like you -- a bit geeky, nerdy, anti-social, insecure -- says ridiculous things just to get attention -- and that's why you were picked on and made fun of all the time, and you'd give your right nut to be popular for just one day. I'd love to talk about the case, but you'll just butt in and kill the free exchange of ideas. MeyerLouie
  24. Why the fuck do you and several others get so fucking BUTTHURT over the word count of others... you are NOT being paid by the word count.. nor are they... E fucking NUFF with the bullshit. Its childish. You too georger.. yall are better than that.. or so I thought..how many people need to tell you???? You're God damned right it's childish! Especially since it's Blevins and Weber doing all the posting here - The rest of us come here and immediately are put in defense mode from Blevins or Weber! Your and Air's complaints are completely baseless, and you know it! I would be happy to sit here and say nothing while you and Airtwardo and Social Directors Blevins and Weber carry the bulk of the discussion, for a change. So begin! And let the rest of us off the hook for a change. I have nothing more to offer Amazon. Im just a sometime spectator here and have been that for years. Im busy trying to help get our Boston office back open after a horrendous week and what you self important are doing here isn't even on my current radar screen! Good luck defending your home turf here today. I will be back int own late tonight and will click open this url to see what new chaos 'yawl are up to here. I may post to defend myself from Blevins' latest charges and allegations whatever they are, or I may not post at all. But there will be a 99.9% chance nothing related to DB Cooper will have been posted here today ... on that all word-counters can count! Too-da-loo. Have a good day. _________________________________________________ Amazon: Nice choice of words, butthurt -- haven't done buttsekts in the Winnebago, ever. I'm a lesbian -- I love women, what can I say?? Let me add one more thing: Whenever I have posted some of my DBC research -- a burning issue, a facet of the case I have been studying up on and have been thinking about for quite some time -- and I bring it to the forum -- who's the first to jump in right right away and gives his 20 paragraphs of flawed logic, who offers his humble expert opinion -- item by item -- on everything in sight? In short, who hogs the show -- no matter what? It's Robert Blevins. Then Jo comes in later and rambles on endlessly -- about whatever. There's no rhythm, no open exchange from several individuals on this forum. Ask a question, and you get Blevins (and Jo -- for that matter) in your face -- like it or not -- hogging the whole show. When they're yappin', we lose out twice. When we get just them, we don't get to hear from others who really do know something, who really do have expertise and good information. We miss out on all that because two individuals have taken it upon themselves to appoint themselves Social Directors of the thread. You think I'm complaining to just hear myself talk? I'm pretty sure I'm not just imagining things -- my gripes are legit. I like talking about the case. I like the insight and information we get from our thread experts. It would be good to hear more from them -- the 47%-ers --for reasons already stated. MeyerLouie
  25. Really? You think it's because of me that people have left? I get emails from people who don't post here but view this thread and ask why you and Georger post the stuff you do, which to them seems like overkill. Most of the people who send these messages I don't even know. Don't compare me to Jo Weber. It is the petty attacks that people grow tired of, Meyer. And you and Georger have been a major factor in that. THAT is what discourages people from posting here, or drives them away...not my report, not my checking out of Marla or the Amboy chute, or any of the other things I have covered here. And how exactly would YOU know I'm trying to 'fit a round peg into a square hole' regarding Christiansen? You already admitted you never even read the evidentiary report on him. And had no intention of doing so. __________________________________________________ Don't sell yourself short, Blevins -- you have almost as much credibility as Marla Cooper. Don't need to read your KC report -- I've already heard it a thousand times....I do think people have left the forum because of you, Mr. 25%. In fact, you and Jo have started the "Over 50% Club," so I have to put you two together. Not only that, you both constantly trash-talk the FBI, and all we get is KC and DW -- the square peg of real evidence has to fit into the round hole of favorite suspect (that wasn't meant to be any kind of sexual connotation -- the pun was not intended). MeyerLouie
