I think they should have cut the shark-fishing bit, though, and lengthened yours. I think he deserved to have his finger cut off after whacking the shark on the head like that! -

I remember that, after about two seconds, I didn't feel like I was falling at all. Then, when I was getting ready to pull, I noticed the clouds go zipping by me. I am a very low time jumper who likes to play things very conservatively. I weigh about 135 pounds, have six jumps (not yet out of AFF, but will be soon), and am considering a Triathlon 190. Actually, you were responding to my response to Bill, and not taking into account the context of what I was saying. Rhino, Bill wasn't talking about innocents killed in the course of war, he was talking about eradicating every single Afghani citizen to retaliate for 9/11. Exactly. If Bill is willing to condone the murder of innocent citizens in Afghanistan, then he has no right to be upset when innocent Americans get killed. Whether there is a question of morality or not, it is a simple matter of consistency. Phree, Have you read Stranger in a Strange Land? It's interesting because the turning point for the main character (a human who was raised by martians, and then brought back to Earth), when he really becomes human, is when he discovers why things are funny, which is basically what you said, too. You tell me what we're talking about, as you raised the objection. What I'm hearing you say is that if the leadership of a nation does something that you do not agree with, we should exterminate every last citizen of that nation. And Lummy makes a great point: You are suggesting that if people band together as a nation and do something wretched, we should go and obliterate them. Isn't this exactly what al Queda did on 9/11? They saw a group of people band together as a nation doing things that they considered wretched, and undertook to obliterate them. Your logic here does not hold al Queda accountable for 9/11, your logic actually justifies 9/11. Therefore, my point stands: no person and no society is inherently better than any other. Perhaps I am being mislead by your wording, but do I understand then that, being part of the nation of Afghanistan, every single Afghani should be exterminated to make an example of the organization that exploited them? We should even exterminate the Afghani women who were forced by this organization to cover their bodies in public under penalty of beating? A One that Isn't Cold is Scarcely a One at All
