No doubt why these terms were played up in the Rocky Horror Show. (In Just Seven Days [AND SEVEN NIGHTS] I can make you a ma--a-a-a-annn [SOME SPA-A-A-A-AM]) A One that Isn't Cold is Scarcely a One at All

Ooh... a nit! Let me pick it! The second line originally reads, "each with a buck-and-a-quarter," cf. the original "to fetch a bucket of water." A One that Isn't Cold is Scarcely a One at All

But if you've emptied the casings properly, you wouldn't need to use them as ear plugs in this situation. A One that Isn't Cold is Scarcely a One at All

Okay, Lisa, but I do notice that there is nothing on the list of things to make you popular about having a complete profile. Anyway, that's beside the point. I'm just in favor of having a bit of patience with newbies. We've all been there. A One that Isn't Cold is Scarcely a One at All

Yep, this is called the Deviance Disavowal Theory. Basically, it means that people want to do something "deviant" (be it kissing another person, abusing a spouse, screwing a sheep ... well, some people don't need to get drunk to do that last one) so they have a few drinks before doing it in order to be able to pass the responsibility off. The example used to describe this to me was Karaoke. How many people like to do Karaoke when they are stone sober? How many drinks does it take the average person to be able to sing Karaoke? Now the fact that the person actually went to the bar on karaoke night suggests that they were planning on singing all along, but would not until they had a few drinks in them first. Hey! The Little Prince! The teachers at my high school weren't communicating, so my sophomore year I read this book both in English and French. (I read it in English first. My French teacher was pissed when she found out!) A One that Isn't Cold is Scarcely a One at All

I don't know...I can see where this guy is coming from. If it were my first time posting someplace and I was not yet familiar with the norms, I would hope that somebody would be a bit more gracious with me in bringing me up to speed on the etiquette around there. I thought that too, but look again at how big the dime looks in that photo. The hole is really really tiny. A One that Isn't Cold is Scarcely a One at All

"Kinda big?" My dialup connection wanted 34 HOURS to download that video! I may as well go play that hold the button thing while I'm at it... A One that Isn't Cold is Scarcely a One at All

That reminds me. Recently, my girlfriend stumbled across an ad in the newspaper for castration services. I couldn't figure the damn thing out. It said something like: Anybody know wtf that's supposed to mean? A One that Isn't Cold is Scarcely a One at All

You should check out the Children's Museum at some point. Even if you don't have kids, it's a really cool place (I worked in one of the galleries there one summer...had a blast!). A One that Isn't Cold is Scarcely a One at All

What weekend? I am undergoing 20 more hours of training to volunteer for the Domestic Violence Shelter. That would be 6-10 on Friday, and 9-6 on Saturday and Sunday. A One that Isn't Cold is Scarcely a One at All

SAFEhouse provides shelter to women and men. However, something like 95% of the people who use their services are women. (You'll notice that aside from saying "women's shelter" I used entirely ungendered language. I will concede that I should not have called it that, either) Rhino, I already told you that I sympathize with your situation. However, what concerns me is the ease with which abusers have access to the abusees and to their children, and the difficulty that battered people already have in making the system work for them. Well, actually I was about to make a smartass post about how one of pot's side effects is penis enlarging before I noticed that... I guess it actually was good for something! A One that Isn't Cold is Scarcely a One at All

Hmm... I can't answer that, because I don't jump a rainbow canopy. But a lot of my friends do! A One that Isn't Cold is Scarcely a One at All

Rhino, I can appreciate why you feel this way given your divorce, but this is not a good idea. I volunteer for a women's shelter, and the system is already skewed in the abuser's favor (ex. the abuser can act perfectly calm and rational in the courtroom. The abusee is likely scared to death of the abuser and is emotionally scarred. Who is going to look like the stable parent?). You would be absolutely stunned to hear of how often the system fails the battered ... even when there is no marriage or children. When you add those factors, it gets scary. It is a fact that virtually all batterers also abuse their children, and it is a fact that even after a divorce, the abuser will do anything they can to continue harrassing their ex. Giving automatic 50/50 custody would just make this easier to do. A One that Isn't Cold is Scarcely a One at All

I am considering buying a rig from someone, and I would like your advice. It seems that there is a teeny hole in the pilot chute (see attached). The seller tells me that her rigger doesn't think it's a problem, but I was wondering what you all think: would this hole make you hesitate? A One that Isn't Cold is Scarcely a One at All

I remember an episode of the Simpson's that did this. Must have been parodying the Twilight Zone episode, then. I think it was Treehouse of Horrors #2? 3? A One that Isn't Cold is Scarcely a One at All

Hey, pretty neat! Hmmm... I couldn't help but wonder whether the drogue chute was necessary... Or the huge canopy for that matter. Any ideas on what that wingloading would be? A One that Isn't Cold is Scarcely a One at All
