  1. and King George the 2nd really is beginning to look like a Conservative spender compared to Obama who is dwarfing all other previous presidents with his massive ever growing government bureaucracy. When your largest job growth demographics are in government, you know you are on the road to >. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  2. Well I would like to think we can be thankful that the USA has the 2nd Amendment (of course up here in the Great White North, we do not have the same rights to protect ourselves and we are at the mercy of our ruling class). However we all should be somewhat worried what the United Nations has cooking in their pot regarding removing the right to defend oneself. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  3. There is no democracy. Democracy does not exist. Democracy is a pipe dream used to make the common people think they are in control. There always has and always will be a ruling class which is in control calling the shots. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  4. If Amazon wants the good Sasquatch, she will need to venture up north of Seattle and into British Columbia Canada. Everyone knows the best Sasquatch meat and the best Sasquatch pelts are found in Canada. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  5. Obviously I can not speak for all governments, but health care in Canada is not free. There are a number of provinces which force their residents to pay premiums for health care. Now the premiums are not as expensive as US health care insurance, but nevertheless the government does force some people to pay on top of the high taxes we already pay. Of course a country like Canada is in the middle when it comes to fees and taxation. We pay way more taxes than Americans pay, but less than what Europeans pay. Health care in Canada is good when you break your leg (if you don't mind sitting in the Emergency room for 4-12 hours) since the doctors will patch you up and send you on your way with little questions asked about who will pay for this. But it is not working for more serious illnesses and medical conditions where some people are on waiting lists that could last months (sometimes years). But now look at Europe ... think things are all bliss in socialist Europe right? Well I guess that depends on what part of Europe you are in. I have a friend who lives in Spain and they tell me health care in Spain is in deep trouble. Finally, I don't know everything that is in this new health care bill Obama has slammed through. But if I am not mistaken, there is one thing that is in the bill which was needed and that was a provision to prevent the US insurance companies from denying people coverage due to pre-existing medical conditions. This is one thing that always puzzled me about the US system. What's the point of even having a health care system if the system can discriminate against people who are sick and need medical attention. I don't know ... the US needs some major reform on how it spends money. Obama has no interest in cutting down the size of government, he only wants to exponentially increase government spending. Looks like the Canadian Loonie will surpass the US Greenback in value as the US goes deeper and deeper into uncontrolled debt. The world is going to be a very different place from what it has been in the last few years. We better all learn how to speak and read Chinese because the future of this world is not America's. 6. I have passed through Santa Fe NM and Taos NM on several occasions and it is very nice. Definitely worth seeing if you don't mind the detour off of the interstate. Monument Valley in SE Utah is also a sight to be seen and if someone is already passing through Monument Valley they need to stop into Moab UT since it's only one hour away. Plus there is also a number of other really cool things to see along the way. But I guess a lot depends on time, willingness to divert ... blah blah blah. There are a lot of open less than scenic spaces through parts of northern Utah and southern Idaho one must endure. Of course if the people doing the trip are BASE jumpers or want to see some jumps, stopping at the Perrine Bridge in Twin Falls is also recommended. Once you get into SE Oregon, things start becoming very scenic again and I am sure you are already familiar with the Pac NW. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  7. So it appears that the U2 will still be used at least until 2013 when a drone replacement is refined enough beyond it's current capabilities to take over duties from the U2. It is incredible that the U2 has been going strong all these years (almost as impressive as the mighty de Havilland Twin Otter ... LOL). Then in 2013 the question remains, will the life span of the U2 be extended? again? or will the aircraft finally be sent to pasture. When it is retired, will it be destroyed? or will it find it's way to the massive aircraft cemetery in AZ? or will it be sold on the used market and the only reason why this thread was started was because Kallend wants to buy his own U2? (LOL ... probably not ... just joking). I have to say, the U2 has definitely lived a long life and must be an amazing aircraft to still be used in service 50+ years into it's existence. But ... this thread could have easily just been about the U2 and not politics. However the good professor just could not resist the stab he felt he needed to make at the end of his first post. 9. noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo you just totally destroyed my fantasy of being a traffic cop. jaja Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  10. The picture is stored on a German site, but I wasn't sure if the actual police car was from Germany or Poland (or some other country) so I just went generic and said Europe. Besides with the EU ... isn't Europe all one big happy place where countries do not run deficits and everyone is ubber rich? LOL ... sorry Try not to worry about the things you have no control over

  12. I guess you were not paying attention to the HoC in the fall of 2006 when the Liberals, NDP and Bloc attempted to gut Bill C-9. Not your fault, they are all clowns in the HoC (every last one of them). You won't find references of this water down attempt in the official Bill C-9 documents because the tactics of the Liberals, NDP and Bloc failed. But that does not change history. That does not change the long history the LPC has for supporting criminals. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  13. You can defend the Liberals all you want ... but they and their Marxist NDP allies and their Separatist Bloc Quebecois pals did indeed attempt to water down a bill which would allow armed robbers, arsonists and auto thieves to serve their time under house arrest. http://www.fpj.ca/index.php?name=News&file=article&sid=346 Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  14. A few years ago the Liberal Party of Canada attempted to water down a crime bill. What the Liberals wanted to do was ensure that people who commit armed robbery, arson and auto theft should not have to go to jail and instead only serve their sentences at their homes under house arrest. That is correct, you heard me right. Liberals (authors of the infamous Canadian Gun Registry) feel people who use their firearms in armed robbery crimes should not have to go to prison. Thankfully when then public was told about this, Liberals backed down and this insanity never (at least not yet) became law. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over

  18. After another look, this new McLaren could actually compete on the open market with cars like the Audi R8. It's affordable to the doctor/lawyer/venture capitalist crowd. As long as the economy does not collapse we may see a number of these cars on the road in the coming years. But my dream car is still the Porsche GT3 RS and well ... I think I will be dreaming for a while. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  19. Nice ride. Cobras are cherry (must be fun to drive) and yes ... it is a shame your old car is not being driven. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  20. BTW ... the front of this McLaren looks very much like a Ferrari 430 while the rest of the car kind of resembles the Audi R8. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  21. Not that I have ever had the opportunity to drive/own one, but from everything I hear, the Audi R8 is an awesome car and yes something that is driven on the public roads by those who can afford it without drawing too much attention. I would love to test drive this McLaren, but it is not practical for use on the public roads. Exotic and semi-exotic automobiles mean different things to different people. To some they will buy these exotic cars and park them. From a purist driving point of view this is a crime. But to each their own. I like cars that breath fire and corner like they are on rails but cars that do not attract too much attention to them. For myself my dream car is the Porsche GT3 RS (similar in performance and price to this McLaren but much less exotic in appearance). It is the closest Porsche you can get to the full RSR race car derivative. But these cars (the McLaren, Audi R8, Porsche, Ferrari and others like the Corvette, Ford GT, etc, etc, etc) are over kill for our public roads. To truly understand the performance of these cars, you need to drive them on a race track. Owning a exotic super car and driving it on the public roads is similar to owning a cross-braced canopy and only ever coming in straight for all you landings not trying to induce any speed. Nice car though this McLaren ... who can I borrow it from and test drive it at my local race track? Try not to worry about the things you have no control over

  23. I usually avoid Walmart. But I will fess up and admit that I was there the other day (after this thread was started ... LOL) to pick up a pair of cheap $10 Chinese made blue-jeans. The last pair of Walmart Chinese made blue-jeans I had fell apart on me much sooner than one would expect your clothes to do. So I debated ... do I go the local store and buy a better quality pair of blue-jeans at $70 each, or do I buy 7 pairs of cheap Chinese made crappy blue-jeans at Walmart. Haha ... I chose the cheap Walmart solution. So naturally I am evil. Then again, according to Glen Beck, I (or who ever else clicks on this) am the root to all evil in the world. 24. Blame Canada ... PS: as messed up as Canadians politics are these days, you can always rely on the USA to show they are even more messed up. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  25. You want change? How about forcing government to reduce their spending (yes this includes military spending). All we hear is tax, tax, tax, spend, spend, spend. Governments are too big, too fat and the people working at these government jobs are too spoiled with their entitlements. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
