  1. I already found it. But I can't tell you any more about it. You're just not cool enough. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  2. Half of Hollywood is Canadian (why do you think Hollywood is so liberal), and let's not forget our doctors and nurses. We've sent 90% of our doctors and nurses to the US. It's all part of the master plan. Blame Canada for all the world problems. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  3. You can always pull your troops out of Iraq and invade and occupy us up here in Canuckville. Instead of IEDs all you would need to worry about were the occasional IHSs (improvised high sticks), plus consuming mass quantities of beer and the desire to do it doggy style while HNIC is on. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  4. Na, na, na, na, nah. My monopoly dollar is worth more than your dollar. ROFLMAO ... of course I can't find a family doctor here in Canuck'ville if my life depended on it. All our doctors have gone south. In theory our socialized medical system is great. But in reality as long as the money in medicine is south of the border, our socialized medical system will continue to hemorage as the population of Canuck'ville continues to grow and age. But my monopoly money is still worth more than yours and I can thank GWB for that gift. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  5. Someone else said it very well back on page #10 of this thread: "Celebrate the lives lived and cherish the memories" - drunkonlife Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  6. I don't know. Now that our monopoly currency is worth several cents more than your green back, what's in it for us? Throw in a few doctors (hell we'll even accept some of our own Canadian trained docs working south of the border in the deal) and then maybe we'll talk. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  7. Is this how you feel about your fellow citizens? Fuck everyone else ... me, me, me. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  8. The plane may have been owned by the Farrington's out of Kapowsin, but it is my understanding that it was leased by Snohomish and the fateful flight originated out of Star Idaho on it's way carrying Snohomish jumpers backs to Shelton Washington. Bryan Jones is the only one I knew from the flight. I competed against him during the 2006 CPC season and he will be missed. While others knew Bryan much better than I will ever know him, I will remember him as a friendly, yet competitive fellow who always wanted to do better. I will never forget the brotherhood of competition I witnessed that season when Bryan, Tom, Smiley, Kelly, Stu and Brad all gave each other shit with their trash talking. But there was never any doubt that they would always be there to lend a hand of support when needed for each other and Bryan often lead the way in this regard. This is truly a sad day. My heart goes out to all at Snohomish for losing so many young people with bright futures. Fly free my friends and I will hopefully see you on the other side one day. 9. There is nothing like a good round of zone accuracy in a swoop comp. Where else do you purposely execute a "controlled crash" just to score some points. Anyone who doesn't think swooping is a contact sport hasn't watched a round of zone accuracy in downwind conditions. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  10. The Farrington's own and operate Kapowsin not Snohomish. It is however my understanding that the aircraft involved in the accident was owned by the Farringtons and leased to the Snohomish crew. If I am mistaken please don't shoot me. These comments have nothing to do with the accident. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  11. Yes we are vulnerable for that first 1000 feet and it's extremely important to listen to and follow the pilot's instructions should an emergency occur. Plus if you are presented with the need to bail out of a disabled aircraft below 2k, don't forget to immediately go for your reserve. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  12. Good point, something I forgot to mention in my original post. The aircraft must be equiped with a mode-c transponder (if my memory serves me correct) in order to fly into class "B", "C" and "D" airspace. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  13. Several people have already replied, but here is my "no shit" take on the rules and how they apply to smaller general aviation airplanes. 1) If you want to land at a busy Class "B" airport you must be cleared into the Class "B" airspace by the approach ATC controlling this air space. 2) If they clear you into this airspace, you can then request to be cleared to land at the airport. But if they are busy and you are not on a preset flight plan, they could deny you. LOL ... you could always declare an emergency ... but then it better be an emergency. 3) If you are cleared to land at the airport, the ATC is going to request that you fly a fast approach speed since the airplanes behind you can not fly as slow as a general aviation airplane and if you do not feel comfortable flying a fast approach before slowing it down for the landing, then you really shouldn't be attempting to land at such a big airport. 4) Wake turbulence is going to be a real problem for small general aviation airplanes landing or taking off after a heavy larger airplane. So you better know that you need to pay attention to where the aircraft before you touched down and touch down beyond their mark and likewise pay attention to where the aircraft lifted off in front of you and make sure you lift off before their mark. Otherwise wake turbulence could spoil your day/life. 5) If you actually stop at this large airport (ie: not doing a touch n' go) you will most likely need to pay the ramp fee. When I was flying, I always thought it would be cool to pick up a friend who flew into town on at one of these big airports in a small GA airplane. But with security, ramp fees and not knowing if I would even be cleared into the class "B" airspace and be cleared to land, it remained a fantasy and never came close to becoming a reality. It would be much easier to do at a class "C" airport, but even those can be rather busy at times with all the same hurdles. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  14. I goofed ... go back a few posts to see when I publically admited I MADE A MISTAKE. If that is not good enough for you, then just burn me on your cross. See if I care. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  15. I know far more dead skydivers than I do people who have died in car accidents and I have only been skydiving a little over 5 years while I have been driving for about 24 years. BSBD ... and my condolences go out to the Snohomish crew this evening. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  16. Blue Skies ... this is a sad day for the Snohomish crew. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  17. I was happy to see posts from a few Snohomish jumpers today. But there are still several more that haven't posted. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  18. Me thinks me goofed (how's my grammar?). carry on ... Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  19. Not to say that there isn't a problem out there, but someone should inform the author of this video that the Air India Flight #182 blown up over Lockerbie Scotland in June of 1985 was carried out by Sikh terrorists and not Islamic terrorist (or can he not tell the difference between Sikh's from India and Islamic people from elsewhere in the world). Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  20. Ha ha ... someone sent me a PM telling me who the first two jumpers were and I guess I was mistaken with some of my original words. I still stand by my statements that the 1st jumper was in the corner. But hardly a "OMG they are going to die" scenario and we all know it is better to dig oneself out as opposed to the alternative. Plus I really am nit picking with the 2nd jumper. You see him pull down on his rears, but I am nit picking. For those of us who swoop, I'm sure none of us can say we have NEVER been in the corner before. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  21. Did you watch the video, or were you too busy being the demo police? The first guy does a 270 and the 2nd guy does a 450. These guys aren't pros and maybe they shouldn't be doing demo swoops. The first guy was in the corner and yes he did need to dig to prevent himself from splatting. But hardly a inches away from screwing up royally scenario. The 2nd guy did need to dig himself using his rears so he too technically was also in the corner. The video does not show the 3rd guy until the end so it's hard to know was this poor separation or a planned tandem swoop? As far as your flag bearer is concerned, LMAO ... sure his canopy control was not even remotely close to being graceful. But we've seen worse treatement of your old glory. Should these guys be swooping into a stadium? Probably not. Call the demo police. But the demo police need to learn what a 180 hook turn is versus a 270 and 450. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  22. I actually thought we were going to see a Clinton versus Rice race. But I guess Rice is smarter than I originally thought. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  23. Ha ha ... it must be true. Ann Coulter is transgendered. What a nut case (and not because she's transgendered). I'm no Clinton fan, but I would take Clinton any day over Coulter. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  24. Don't spend more than you make. How much more obvious does this need to be. It applies to individuals as much as it applies to governments. Don't tell me the Republicans are fiscal conservatives, because they are not. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  25. What about the Jones? I want to be just like the Jones. Their life looks so good. Hasn't war always been the cure for the US economic woes since the 50s? I mean when you guys need a little jolt to get your economy going, a nice invasion always seems to do the trick to get those factor workers back making their paychecks and spending their hard earned military industrial complex dollars keeping up with the Jones? What happened this time around? Fear not, there's always Iran. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
