Very glad everything came out okay. That's one thing I don't care for when jumping a 182 is that when there are 4 jumpers in it (and there almost always is), you are packed in like sardines - you just kinda have to 'feel' that the handles are in place. Bigger rides you can usually have someone else give it a visual as well. Glad everyone else was watching, and took action. Well, if I still had any of them, it would be music from all the metal/rock/hair bands of the 80's. Some Ratt, Poison, Warrant, Night Ranger, Crue, Def Leppard (loved them, had all their albums)...and probably some 'one hit wonder' groups. 1978 Camero w a 305 (if I remember correctly). I inherited mine from my sister, who had bought it new, and held on to it. I think I inherited it around '86/87. But, did the father/son thing where we fixed it up. Stripped and painted it, redid the interior, did a little engine work, but basically kept everything original. Of course, I had to spend a little more of my $$$ to put a nice LOUD stereo system in it. I had a Kenwood head unit, a passive Sanyo equalizer, and four Kenwood 6x9s. The kicker was this 100 watt Sanyo amp, that was about the size of two cinder blocks, it was huge. Man has car stereo technology gotten better. Mine is fairly simple, actually. Because of my real name (Matt), for some reason (hopefully not my looks), all my friends since high school always nicknamed me Mut. And now, for something completely different... Hey, the Schwan's delivery guy showed up with some ice cream tonight. It got me to wondering what everyone's favorites might be. For the over-the-counter variety, I'd have to go with Mint Chocolate Chip. Then, there was this little ice cream shop that made their own, in-house. They had a flavor called Almond Joy, just like the candy bar. Rich vanilla with coconut, and bits of almond and chocolate...make you wanna slap your mama it was so good. But you just can't beat any homemade variety...the absolute best. I think I'll have another scoop...

I think I would resist the urge to try sit-flying in the nude. When you first learned to waterski, did you ever crash and burn on your backside (or drag it while trying to stand up). I think you get the pic. On the other hand, a nude freefly team named "Air Enema" could be quite fun . Matt A well-informed person is somebody who has the same views and opinions as yours.

Great request/reminder. I will honor that request. I know that from time to time, I think about where I was, and how I felt when I first heard the news of the 911 attacks. My heart sunk, and I tettered on the verge of tears and prayed for unknown families at work all day. I will never forget. And like what was mentioned above, the silence of airports following was eery. At the time, I was living just to the north of D/FW International, where at night you can count dozens and dozens on commercial planes zipping around. Sam's Club, where you can buy fifty-five gallon drums of mayonaise and 35 pound bags of rice, 75 rolls of tp etc...that place is a trip. Bulk Reese's huh? In the early days, on my new canopy, busted my butt hard on a 'next to no flare' landing. Probably should have gone to the dr, as I had trouble sitting for the next two weeks. 1:3:1 1 - Number of times I left the plane without goggles over my eyes. It was cool, did a sit exit, and realized as soon as I left the step what I had done. Yanked them down over my eyes within 3 seconds of exit. The case is for the first time I left the plane without goggles...TIMMY!!
