My fault for not keeping up with this thread but I should clairify that I am more interested in getting opinions from people on this site as to what the difference is in both environments. Having this place and my own dz as most of my reference to a skydiving community, I don't think that my reaction to recdot is all that surprising. I'm not whining that recdot is not in compliance with my social style and standards, I'm just expressing how I viewed the place and was wondering what people thought the main differences were, ie moderation etc...

I understand the technical difference between the two and that moderation keeps this place "civilized", I am just trying to figure out why, given the opportunity and environment, you would choose to pour energy into a creation such as recdot. Though seeing this same type of thing day to day in current society, I don't know why I am really surprised, it's just the first time I've experienced it in the skydiving community. jesse

Ok, after hearing this google newsgroup referenced a few times on DZ, I decided to check it out....good god, wtf is wrong with those people?? I know that there must be some decent posters but the majority of regulars seemed to have a big head up a small ass! To get any sort of educational information seemed almost out of the question! (I did learn what an SCR/SCS is though) The comments about DZ commers being mushy and lovey dovey was quite entertaining. Is there a piece of history I am missing that completes this puzzle or what?? jesse

Oh boy, let's see. Burned down 1 1/2 acres of my neighbors property (just brush/trees...no house thank god) The Fire Dept. didn't like that one too much not the mention my parents or the neighbor! hehehe Put an M-100 in our living room's brick fireplace just to see what would happen..(was deaf for about 3 days) Countless other injuries.....pyromaniac? Whats that?? jesse -
With a 10 fold increase in skills/performance/responsibility over a 2 year 1 month period, I've been compensated 3.2% of my starting salary....WTF?? Need an employee?? I'll go anywhere!

I thought the best was when that ish talkin girl started dry heaving before she even took a bite! I thought she was going to yak! Didn't they say there was still hair on it? break out the floss baby! BLAH J

The little I did play, it felt really awkward to have slighty impaired hearing, breathing, and sight from these old beat up masks that belonged to the park. I think i'll be fine, as long as I focus on what I am doing! I can't wait, I'm really excited. Thx Ricx

I have played a couple of games before, maybe about an hour....it was so intense, i didn't know what the hell was going on (kinda like my first tandem....well, not quite). I was thinking cargo pants....don't they have paint gernades?
